6. Wall Installation

  • Remove the wall holder from the rear side of the oral irrigator.
  • Look for an appropriate location for installing the wall holder. Observe a top distance of 12cm and a lateral distance of 6cm.
  • Mount the wall holder onto the wall as shown in figure 2. For this, use appropriate dowels, if necessary. Make sure not to damage any electrical cables, water or gas lines when drilling! Danger! Drilling holes into tiles of a rented apartment might involve claim for compensation by your landlord. If in doubt, consult your landlord before drilling holes into the tiles to mount the wall holder.
  • Insert the oral irrigator into the wall holder and push it down until it locks into place.
  • Screw the small screw into the respective aperture to fasten the oral irrigator to the wall holder. Thus, it cannot loosen from the wall holder.26

7. Preparation and Operation

  • Check whether the oral irrigator is switched off (the ON/OFF switch sticks out a little bit more than it is the case when it is switched on).
  • Connect the mains plug to the mains socket.
  • Insert a lug-in nozzle into the upper aperture of the handle.

Insertion is possible in one direction only. Do not use force! For hygienic reasons, each user should use his/her own plug-in nozzle.

You can add a little bit of customary mouthwash, if desired. The maximum total filling quantity is 500ml. There is a marking on the side of the water tank.

  • Insert the water tank vertically down into the oral irrigator. Press it into the connection so that the water tank is fully inserted.

Insertion is possible in one direction only. Do not use force!27

  • Set the desired water pressure for the pulsating water jet. Turning anti-clockwise (in direction A) reduces the water pressure, turning clockwise (in direction B) increases the water pressure.
  • Switch the oral irrigator on. The motor for the pump drive starts working.
  • Carefully put the Tipp of the plug-in nozzle into your mouth. Bend over the washbasin and hold your face down in an angle of approx. 45°. Leave your mouth a little bit open so that the water can flow out later.
  • Activate the water jet by moving the slider in the direction of the plug- in nozzle as shown in the figure on the right.

Safe operation must be presumed to be no longer possible, if - the device exhibits visible damage, - the device does not operate any longer and - the device was stored under unfavorable conditions for a long period of time or - the device was exposed to extraordinary stress caused by transport.
  • Do not disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket by pulling the cable! Always disconnect the plug from the mains socket by taking it at the lateral gripping areas. Otherwise, the mains cable might get damaged. Danger of electric shock!
  • Always disconnect the mains plug of the oral irrigator from the mains socket when not using the oral irrigator.
  • If there are sockets in the vicinity of children, use appropriate child-proof protection.
  • If the oral irrigator is used by children or people with corporal or mental handicaps, an adult supervisor must be present the whole time to supervise correct use of the product.

  • Use clear, clean and fresh tap water only for operating the oral irrigator. If desired, you can add a little bit of customary mouthwash. The temperature of the tap water must not exceed 40°!
  • For hygienic reasons, each user should use his/her own plug-in nozzle.30

10. Maintenance and Cleaning

There are no serviceable parts for you inside the oral irrigator. Therefore, never dismount the product (except for the work describd in this operatingmanual). Any maintenance or repair´and the involved opening of the oral irrigator must be done by an expert or a specialist workshop only. Before cleaning the exterior, switch the oral irrigator off and disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket. Clean the exterior of the oral irrigator with a clean, dry and soft cloth. In case of stronger contamination, slightly moisten the cloth with lukewarm water. Do not use any cleaning agents as this might involve discoloring of the housing. Moreover, the cleaning agent might get into the pump circuit and thus into your mouth. There is danger of toxication or chemical burns of your oral mucosa! To clean the product after each use, proceed as described in chapter 8.

Please dispose of the unserviceable device according to the current statutory requirements.31

With the oral irrigator you have purchased a product which has been designed using state-of-the- art technology and which is safe to operate. Nevertheless, problems or failures might occur. Therefore, we would like to describe in the following how you can eliminate possible failures. Please observe all safety instructions contained in this operating manual! Problem No function Solution

  • Is the mains socket fully functional?
  • Is the oral irrigator switched on?
  • The drive motor is overheated. Switch the oral irrigator off via the ON/OFF switch and wait at least 20 minutes.
  • The water tank is empty. Switch the oral irrigator off and fill the water tank.
  • The water tank is not inserted correctly.
  • The plug-in nozzle is not inserted correctly. Switch the oral irrigator off and insert the plug-in nozzle correctly.
  • The plug-in nozzle is blocked. Switch the oral irrigator off and replace the plug-in nozzle.
  • The slider on the handle is not in the correct position.
  • Set the rotary control for the water pressure to a higher position (turn it in direction “4”).
  • The plug-in nozzle is blocked. Switch the oral irrigator off and replace the plug-in nozzle. The motor for the pump does not work Water pressure is too low The pump works, but there is no water flowing out of the plug- in nozzle32
  • Move the water jet outlet from one tooth interspace to the next. Ensure an angle of approx. 90° so that the water jet can get directly into the tooth interspaces and can remove food restovers etc. Slightly open your mouth so that the water can flow out. Hold your face/mouth over the washbasin.
  • Proceed in the same way for the inside of your teeth.
  • Then, clean he tooth interspaces of your upper jaw the same way as you did for the teeth of the lower jaw.33
  • Cleaning the tooth interspaces with the oral irrigator does not substitute regular cleaning of your teeth with tooth brush and tooth paste.

The oral irrigator only is a complement for tooth and oral care.

  • Correct handling of the tooth brush is decisive for preserving the health of your teeth for a long time. Simply moving the tooth brush back and forth very soon wears the dental enamel and therfore should be avoided. Rotary movements are ideal, additionally complemented by moving the brush from the gums to the tooth in order to clean the tooth interspaces. You should brush your teeth at least twice a day after your meals for approx. 3 minutes. Regularly replace your tooth brush by a new one; at leats every 2 months or when the bristles of the tooth brush have deformed. Depending on your teeth and your gums, choose a soft, medium or hard tooth brush.
  • It is recommended to support children below 10 years of age with cleaning their teeth. Very often, younger children are not able to do the correct movements with the tooth brush.
  • When operating the oral irrigator, always start with the lowest water pressure (setting “1”). If necessary, increase the water pressure until it is comfortable for you.

A too high water pressure might involve loosening of dental fillings or might rinse off loose dental fillings. If you feel pain of your teeth or gums during cleaning your teeth or if your gums are bleeding, switch the oral irrigator off. If necessary, seek medical care!

  • For further questions about correct tooth care, contact your debtist. He will give you individual information and will make suggestions or recommend certain products (e.g. dental floss) depending on your teeth.34
