- Please read these instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place.
- This appliance is not designed to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory, or mental capabilities, or lacking in experience and/or knowledge. This is unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety, or they are instructed by such a person on how to use the appliance.
- Children should be supervised in order to ensure they don't play with the machine.

This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:
-
staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
farm houses;
by client in hotels, motels and other working environments;
bed and breakfast type environments. -
Make sure that the size of the batteries used corresponds to the one mentioned on the appliance. The appliance operates on "AA" size batteries (included).

Never immerse the appliance casing in water or any other liquid for any reason whatsoever. Never place in a dishwasher.
- Never bend the shaft and the spiral of the frothmaker. The shaft is firmly connected with the casing. Therefore never try to disconnect.
- Only operate the appliance when the frothing spiral is completely immersed in liquid.
- Exercise care when using the appliance with hot liquids!
- Do not throw used batteries in the house garbage but by adequate disposal systems.
- Check the appliance regularly for wear and damage. In case of a fault, please send the appliance for inspection/repair to our after sales service (address see last page). Inadequate repair may constitute a risk for the user and result in the loss of guarantee.
- If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified person in order to avoid a hazard.
The manufacturer will not be liable in the event of incorrect assembly, improper or incorrect use or if repairs are carried out by unauthorized third parties.

ATTACHMENT OF THE WALL HOLDER
- For mounting of the wall holder, first mark the planned drilling holes with a pencil. Make sure, that no electrical lines, water or drainage lines are in this section. In case of a tiled surface, provide the holes in the joints.
LOADING OF BATTERIES
- The Quirly is operated by two alkaline batteries size AA.
- Before installing the batteries make sure that the appliance is switched off.
- To open the battery compartment cover, push the release button B at the front side of the housing H with your thumb and remove the lid (see ill. I and II).

Install the batteries according to the illustration F (+ / - ) inside the battery compartment.

Drill two small holes with a 5mm drill.
- Place the rawl plugs into the holes.

Fix the wall holder by means of the screws.

Replace cover into position by locking the tab D into position and pressing the cover, until it snaps into its original position.
- Briefly press the power button and observe operation of frothing spiral to ensure that the batteries are functioning properly.
FILL THE CHOCOLATE DISPENSER
- Fill the chocolate dispenser

Open the lid of the chocolate dispenser as shown on ill. I and II.

Fill chocolate powder into the dispenser.
- Close the lid as shown on ill. III. The lid must click into place.
USE OF THE APPLIANCE
- Clean the appliance thoroughly before using the Quirly for the first time.
- Your Quirly can be used to froth milk, milk shakes, sauces and dressings, either hot or cold. (See remarks).
- Fill a high narrow recipient to 1/3 with liquid.
- Grasp the Quirly and immerse the frothing spiral J into the liquid. Then press the power button C on the top of the lid to ON position to activate frothing.
- To achieve optimum results agitate the froth maker slowly in an up and down motion while keeping the frothing spiral J completely immersed.

After suitable froth has been created, press power button to OFF position, then remove and set aside the appliance.

For Cappuccino pour hot coffee slowly into the frothed milk or give the milk with a spoon on the coffee. Sprinkle the surface with some chocolate powder.
- For milk shakes always fill first the powder into the milk, then start frothing.
Remarks:
Scalded or cooked milk are not suitable for frothing: Milk should be heated to a temperature of not more than 60^ .
Virtually any type of dairy milk can be frothed, whether fresh or pasteurized, skimmed or standard fat. Best results will be achieved with milk with 1,5% fat content.
Factors such as freshness, age and pasteurization process can affect the results.
CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND STORAGE
- We recommend to clean the appliance after each use to prevent residues and deposits.
- Swtich off the appliance before cleaning it.
- Do not immerse the motor unit H of the Quirly in water or any other liquid. Clean the casing by wiping it with a dry and soft cloth.
- For cleaning after each use in a cold liquid just rinse the spiral J of the Quirly under running water. Persistent stains may be removed by fully immersing the shaft I and
the spiral J into a recipient of hot water, then operating the appliance briefly. For remaining stains, a brush may be used.
- The Quirly is best stored in the wall holder O. Optionally it can be stored lying flat. Resting the appliance on its frothing spiral may cause misalignment of the shaft and spiral. Standing the appliance on its grip may damage the power button mechanism.
SPÉCIFICATION TECHNIQUE
We grant a 24 months guarantee, and in case of commercial use a 12 months guarantee, starting from the date of purchase for any damage demonstrably due to manufacturing defects and when the appliance has been used according to its intended use. Within the warranty period we will remedy defective materials or workmanship through repair or replacement, at our option.
Our warranty terms apply only to appliances sold in Germany and Austria. For other countries, please contact the responsible importer. In the event of a claim for remedy of defects, please send the appliance to our after sales service, properly packaged and postage paid, together with a copy of the automatically generated sales receipt, which must show the date of purchase, and a description of the defect. If the defect is covered by the warranty, the customer will be reimbursed for the shipping costs. The warranty does not cover damage from normal wear, improper handling and failure to comply with the maintenance and care instructions. The warranty is void if repairs or modifications are made to the appliance by third parties.
Any claims of the end consumer vis-à-vis the retailer are not limited by this warranty.
CONDITIONS DE GARANTIE
Our appliances are produced on a high quality level for a long lifetime. Regular maintenance and expert repairs by our after-sales service can extend the useful life of the appliance. If an appliance is defective and repair is not possible we ask you to follow the following instructions for disposal.
Do not dispose this appliance together with your standard household waste. Please bring this product to an approved collection point for recycling of electric and electronic products.
By separate collection and disposal of waste products you help to protect natural resources and ensure, that the product is disposed in an adequate way to protect health and environment.
