1. Getting to know your appliance

You can massage yourself or other persons with this massage device. Massages can be both relaxing and stimulating, and are often used in the treatment of stiff or tense muscles, pains and fatigue. This device with six hemispherical massage attachments offers a powerful, intensive tap massage for many parts of the body. Alternating cold/warm massages offering an especially relaxing and regenerating effect can also be performed with the cold massage attachment (cooling in the fridge) and the warm infrared heating area. The device is only for private use and is not intended for medical or commercial purposes. The device is only intended for the purpose described in these operating instructions. The manufacturer cannot be held liable for damage occurring as a result of inappropriate or careless use.

This device is solely intended for massaging human beings. It cannot replace medical treatment. Do not use the massage device if any of the following warnings apply to you. Please consult your doctor if you are unsure whether or not the massage device is suitable for you.

  • Never use of the massage device in the following cases: – on children under the age of 15, – on animals, – in case of cardiovascular diseases and headaches, – in the region of swelling, burns, inflammation, open wounds, fresh wounds, hematomas or other injuries, – on the head, on joints, the spinal column or on any other sensitive parts of the body. – during pregnancy, – while you are asleep, – after taking medication or consuming alcohol (reduced levels of awareness), – while operating machinery.
  • Massage must also not be performed on: bones (e.g. joints, the spinal column), the head or other sensitive parts of the body.
  • This device is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities and/or by persons lacking the required understanding of the equipment and how it is used, unless they are supervised by a person who is responsible for their safety or they are given instructions on how to use the device. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not use the device as a toy.7
  • You should consult your doctor before using the massage device if – you suffer from a serious illness or are recovering from an operation on the upper body, – you are fitted with a cardiac pacemaker, implant or other aid, – you suffer from any of the following: common cold accompanied by fever, varicose veins, thrombosis, phlebitis, jaundice, diabetes, nervous system diseases (e.g. sciatica), tuberculosis, tumors, hemorrhoids, bruises or acute inflammation, – in case of pains of unclarified origin.

3. Safety information

Please read these operating instructions carefully. Failure to observe the information provided below can lead to personal injury or material damage. Keep these instructions in a safe place where they can also be read by other persons using the device. Always pass on these instructions together with the appliance if you sell it or pass it on.

  • Keep children away from the packaging materials. Risk of suffocation.
  • Just like any other electrical appliance, this massage device must be handled with due care and attention in order to prevent the risk of electric shock. For this reason, the device must only be operated as follows: – never, if any damage to the appliance itself or to any of its accessories is evident, – never in rooms in which aerosols are sprayed or oxygen is administered, – never during a thunderstorm.
  • In the event of a defect or malfunction, switch the device off immediately and disconnect it from the power supply. Never pull on the power cable or on the appliance in order to dis- connect the power supply from the mains outlet. Never hold or carry the device by the power cable. Keep the cables away from hot surfaces. Do not pinch, kink or twist the ca- bles.
  • Make sure that the massage device and the cable do not come into contact with water or other fluids. For this reason, the device must be operated as follows: – only in dry inside rooms, – only with dry hands, – never in the bath, in the shower or near a filled basin, – never in swimming pools, whirlpools or in the sauna, – never out in the open.
  • Never try to retrieve the device if it falls into water. Disconnect the plug immediately from the mains outlet!
  • Water must never enter the inside of the device. Never immerse the device in water. If water has still entered the casing, immediately disconnect the device from the mains and contact your dealer or our customer service.
  • The surface of the device heats up during use. Heat sensitive persons should be espe- cially cautious.
  • Never open the catch on the soft balls as it is difficult to close them again. If gel stills es- capes, never not eat or drink it. Avoid contact with the gel and keep children away from it. Seek medical attention immediately if the gel has been swallowed.
  • Fire hazard: There is a risk of fire if the device is used incorrectly or if it is not used accord- ing to these operating instructions. For this reason, the massage device must only be op- erated as follows: – never operate the massage device for longer than 20 minutes (risk of overheating) and allow it to cool off for 15 minutes before using it again, – never leave the device unsupervised, particularly if children are around, – never use the device under covers, such as blankets or pillows, – never use the device in the vicinity of petrol or other easily flammable materials.
  • Make sure that the movable parts can always move freely and that no objects or even fingers are jammed. Make sure that no hair can get caught in the device. Wear a hair net if necessary.
  • Check the device at regular intervals for signs of wear or damage. Contact your authorized8 dealer or the service address in such cases.
  • Switch the device off immediately if it is defective or nor working properly.
  • Repairs to electrical appliances must only be carried out by qualified persons. Incorrect repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user. In the event of repairs, please contact our customer service or an authorized dealer.
  • Switch the device off and disconnect the power supply unit after every use and before every cleaning.
  • Make sure that the appliance and the attachments are not too close to heat sources such as ovens, radiators or direct sunlight. The massage attachments and especially the soft balls must not be put in the microwave.
  • Only connect the device to the mains voltage stated on the rating plate.
  • Do not cool the two soft balls below 0°C, to avoid freezing and other cold damage.
  • Do not use any other attachments apart from the massage attachments supplied.
  • Never cover the device while switched on (blanket, pillow,…)
  • Switch off the device and disconnect it from the mains when you are removing or attaching the handle or any massage attachments.

4. Appliance description

1. Infrared heating area

– 0: OFF – M: Only massage – H+M: Massage with infrared heating

The appliance is used solely for massaging the human body.

WARNING Never open one of the soft balls as it is difficult to close again. If gel stills escapes, never eat or drink it. Avoid contact with the gel and keep children away from it. Seek medical attention immediately if the gel has been swallowed.

1. Switch OFF (0) when changing the massage attachments on the device. For a cold massage screw on

one of the hemispherical massage attachments supplied: – tennis ball, golf ball, baseball, soccer ball – Soft ball filled with gel: Place the soft ball 2-3 hours in the fridge prior to use.

2. Plug the power cable into a mains outlet.

3. Switch the device on with the rotary switch.

– M: Only massage (with one of the massage attachments) – H+M: Massage with infrared heating area – 0: OFF9

4. Place the device on the part of the body which you wish to massage. Start at the part of the body fur-

thest from the heart. Then massage in slow circular or sideways movements towards your heart. You can stand up, sit down or lie down and you can either massage yourself or massage somebody else. Massage intensity can be varied by exerting more or less pressure on the massage device.

Note Never massage a specific part of the body for longer than three minutes without chang- ing to another area of the body. Cold and warm massage

  • For cold/warm massage we recommend you massage the area to be treated for approx. five seconds with the cooled soft ball attachment and then to use the heating area for approx. 25 seconds. This way you achieve the best results for treating pain and tiredness.
  • After using for a maximum of 20 minutes, switch off the device again, disconnect the plug and let it cool down.

6. Cleaning, storage and disposal

  • For cleaning, first unplug the device and allow it to cool off. Then you can rub it off with a cloth which is no more than lightly moistened. You can also use a mild detergent. However, make sure that water never penetrates inside the device. Do not use the device again until it is completely dry.
  • Store the device in a dry place.
  • Always allow the device to cool down before placing it in the packaging for storage. Disposal Follow local regulations regarding the disposal of materials. The appliance should be dis-

sed of according to Regulation 2002/96/EC-WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment). In case of queries, contact the municipal authorities responsible for waste disposal in your area.
