Frequently Asked Questions - DAI 29 TEAM

How to fill the water tank?
Unplug the iron and let it cool down. Set the temperature button to MIN and the dry/steam button to the dry position. Fill through the opening without exceeding the maximum level. While ironing, unplug and fill while holding the iron horizontally.
How to adjust the temperature according to the fabric?
Turn the temperature adjustment knob clockwise until the symbol corresponding to the fabric (synthetic, silk/wool, cotton/linen) is opposite the mark. If in doubt, refer to the garment label.
How to use the steam function?
Fill the tank, plug in the iron and select the appropriate temperature. Set the dry/steam button between ✕ and for medium steam or towards for max. Wait for the heating indicator to turn off. Do not use at low temperature to avoid water dripping.
How to use the spray function?
The spray function can be used at any temperature, with or without steam. It moistens stubborn creases. Check the garment label first, as some fabrics may be marked by water contact.
How to use the double steam?
Press the double steam button to get extra steam on difficult areas and stubborn creases. Make sure the temperature is high enough (cotton/linen position).
What to do if water drips from the soleplate?
This can happen if the temperature is too low. Increase the thermostat setting so that steam forms properly. Also check that the dry/steam button is properly positioned.
How to clean the inside of the iron?
Set the dry/steam button to cleaning position (), hold the iron horizontally for one minute allowing steam to escape. This partially removes limescale. For complete descaling, use a specific product.
How to descale the iron?
Use a commercial descaling product for steam irons. Follow the dosage instructions. The steam cleaning function is only partial maintenance; regular descaling is necessary depending on water hardness.
How to store the iron after use?
Set the thermostat to MIN, unplug, empty the tank by tilting the iron. Place it vertically on its heel to cool down and let moisture evaporate. Once cold, you can store it.
What essential safety precautions are there?
Never leave the iron unattended when plugged in. Unplug before filling the tank, cleaning or storing. Do not immerse in water. Use the handle, do not touch hot surfaces. Check the condition of the cord regularly.
