Frequently Asked Questions - DAI 9 TEAM

How to fill the water tank of the Team DAI 9 iron?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Place it on its soleplate on a flat surface. Set the temperature control dial to MIN and the steam flow control dial to the stop position. Pour water through the filling opening without exceeding the indicated MAX level.
What type of water to use with the Team DAI 9 iron?
You can use distilled water or tap water. If you use tap water, descale regularly depending on the hardness of your water.
How to adjust the temperature for each fabric type?
Turn the temperature control dial clockwise until the symbol corresponding to the fabric (synthetic, silk, wool, cotton, linen) aligns with the mark. The indicator light turns off when the temperature is reached.
How to use the steam function?
Fill the tank, plug in the appliance and set the temperature according to the fabric. Set the steam flow control dial to medium or maximum steam position. Wait for the indicator light to turn off before ironing. Note: for steam, the thermostat must be on '●●' or '●●●' to avoid water leakage.
How to use the spray function?
The spray function can be used at any temperature, with or without steam. Simply press the spray button to spray a jet of water onto the fabric.
How to clean the iron soleplate?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool down. Do not use any abrasive products. Use a commercial special cleaner for iron soleplates.
How to descale the iron?
Use a commercial specific descaling product for irons. Follow the product's instructions for dosage and procedure.
How to perform self-cleaning on the Team DAI 9 iron?
Fill the water tank to the MAX mark, set the thermostat to MAX, plug in the iron and wait for the indicator to turn off. Then set the thermostat to MIN, hold the iron horizontally over a sink and remove the steam flow control dial. Boiling water and impurities will come out of the soleplate holes. Shake the iron slightly to clean all holes. Repeat if necessary.
What to do if the iron leaks water from the soleplate?
Check that the temperature is high enough (thermostat on '●●' or '●●●') before using steam. If the temperature is too low, water may leak. Also ensure the tank is not overfilled and the steam button is in stop position when filling.
How to properly store the iron after use?
Set the thermostat to MIN and the steam button to stop. Unplug the cord. Empty the tank by holding the iron soleplate down, avoid pointing the soleplate at yourself. Place the iron vertically on its heel to cool down and allow moisture to evaporate. Once the soleplate is cold, store it.
