General Safety Instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use. Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull on the plug, not the cable) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you should leave the workplace, always switch the machine off or remove the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead).
- Check the appliance and the cable for damage on a regular basis. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
- Use only original spare parts.
- Pay careful attention to the following "Special Safety Instructions".

Special Safety Instructions for this Machine
- Use only cold water when filling.
- The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks!
- Do not exceed the MAX mark when fliling, otherwise the water may boil over and cause burns!
- Use the appliance only on a level work surface.
Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed. - Please do not open the lid when the water is boiling.
- Do not move the device and do not touch it when it is working.
- Ensure that the kettle is switched off before you remove it from its base.
- The base and exterior of the machine must not become wet.
- Only use the kettle with the accompanying base.
First Use of the Machine
Please read these operating instructions carefully and keep them in a safe place. Before using for the first time, boil fresh water at least twice in the appliance. Use only water without any additives or ingredients.
Mains Lead
Completely unwind the length of mains lead that you require from the bottom section of the base. Please ensure that the mains lead does not become tangled up.
I NOTE:
Always use fresh water.
- Do not consume any water that has already been in the water container for more than one hour.
- Do not re-boil water that has been allowed to cool down.
Always pour old water away.
Operation

Place the machine on a fl at surface.
-
Open the kettle by pressing the button on the handle. The lid springs open. Then fill in the water. Please only fill up to the maximum (MAX) mark. You can read off the flling level on the water level indicator on both sides of the device.

Close the lid until you hear it lock in place.

Place the kettle fl ush on the base.
5. Electrical connection
- Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as that of the machine. Details are to be found on the label on the base.

Only connect the machine to a properly installed 230 V, 50 Hz safety socket.

Switch on the kettle by pressing the switch.
- The control lamp in the water level indicator lights up.
- After the water has boiled the device switches off automatically or you can press the switch upwards to stop the boiling process.
WARNING: Danger of scalding!
- When pouring the water out, keep the lid closed.
- During operation the housing becomes hot. Do not touch it and allow the device to cool down before storing it away.
Switching off
- If you do not wish to use the kettle any more, please turn the switch to 0 (off) and then remove the plug from the socket. The control lamp goes off.
- Emptying the water container.
Mains Cable Take-up Device
The mains cable can be wound up on the base.
Cleaning
- Always pull out the plug from the socket before cleaning!
- The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp cloth without additives.
- The interior can be cleaned either with a damp cloth or with detergent.
- There is a permanent filter in the spout. In order to clean the filter, pull it out with the lid open. Rinse out the filter with running water. Reinsert it, taking note of the guide mechanism.
Decalcification
- The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the hardness of the water and on how often the appliance is used.
- If the machine switches off before the water boils, it probably needs to be decalcified. Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available decalcified cation agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the quantities stated in the instructions.
NOTE:
After descending the device boil fresh water in it several times (approximately 3-4 times) in order to remove any residues. Do not consume this water.
Troubleshooting
- It is not possible to switch the machine on.
Possible Cause:
After being used without or with too little water the machine has not cooled down suffi ciently.
Remedy:
Allow the machine to cool down for 15min
- The machine switches off before the water has boiled.
Possible Cause:
The heated base is coated with too much lime or the circuit of the plug is overloaded.
Remedy:
Descale the machine as instructed.
Check the mains connection.
- The machine does not switch off.
Possible Cause:
The lid is not closed.
Remedy:
Close the lid.

The device supplied by our Company is covered by a 24 month guarantee starting on the date of purchase (receipt).
During the life of the guarantee any fault of the device or its accessories ascribable to material or manufacturing defects will be eliminated free of charge by repairing or, at our discretion, by replacing it. The guarantee services do not entail an extension of the life of the guarantee nor do they give rise to any right to a new guarantee!
Proof of the guarantee is provided by the proof of purchase. Without proof of purchase no free replacement or repair will be carried out.
If you wish to make a claim under the guarantee please return the entire machine in the original packaging to your dealer together with the receipt.
Defects to consumables or parts subject to wearing as well as cleaning, maintenance or the replacement of said parts are not covered by the guarantee and hence are to be paid!
The guarantee lapses in case of unauthorized tampering.
After the expiry of the guarantee
After the expiry of the guarantee repairs can be carried by the competent dealer or repair service against the payment of the ensuing costs.
