Tea Preparation
For the preparation of tea your tea kettle has a glass pot with a permanent filter and a keep-warm function.
- Fill in some water.
- Pull the ascending pipe (5) upwards so that you can fi ll the desired quantity of loose tea into the tea strainer (4). If you would like to use teabags, please boil the water fi rst as described under „Operating the Kettle“ and then place the teabag(s) (without fi iter insert) into the pot. For 700 ml of water we recommend the following (although this depends to a large extent on your personal taste and the type of tea used):
Black tea: 1.5-2.5 heaped teaspoons of loose tea / 2 teabags Herbal and fruit tea: 2-3 heaped teaspoons of loose tee / 2-3 teabags Green or special tea: according to the instructions on the pack or the tea shop.
-
Place the filter insert into the pot, ensuring the correct position of the recess. The covering grid (3) now seals the tea strainer. Replace the lid firmly (see section 3 „Operating the Kettle“).
-
Switch on the appliance (The control lamp in the I/O switch and the control lamp (10) light up).
-
The water begins to boil. Once the temperature has been reached the control lamp (10) goes off.
-
When the tea has fi nished brewing please remove the fi iter insert. We recommend that you empty the tea strainer immediately.
Note: Never take the fi Iter insert apart as it is possible that it cannot be used again afterwards.
-
The device switches on automatically as soon as the temperature of the water falls; the control lamp (10) goes on again.
-
The remaining quantity of tea is kept warm until you turn the switch (9) to O.
Cleaning
• Always pull out the plug from the socket before cleaning!
- After every use please clean the entire fi iter insert and the lid in soapy water. The teapot should only be rinsed out with hot water.
Please do not immerse any other parts of the machine in water.
- The exterior of the machine should be cleaned, if necessary, with a slightly damp cloth without additives.
