Electricity and heat Before use, check that the mains power supply voltage is the same and the voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the appliance. Always plug the appliance into an earthed plug socket. Regularly check the power cord for damage. Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged. Have a damaged power cord replaced by a qualified service centre. Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to manufacturer or the nearest authorized service agent for examination, repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment. To remove the plug from the plug socket, pull the plug. Do not pull the power cord. Make sure the power cord does not come into contact with hot surfaces or steam. Always remove the plug from the plug socket before you move the appliance. The machine should not be operated by means of an external timer-switch or by means of a separate system with remote control. If an extension cord is absolutely necessary, a 10-ampere cord should be used. Cords rated for less amperage may overheat. Care should be taken to arrange the cord so that it cannot be pulled or tripped over. To avoid a circuit overload, do not operate another high voltage appliance on the same circuit. To protect against electric shock do not immerse cord, plugs, or housing in water or other liquid. Do not touch the appliance if it falls into water. Remove the plug from its socket, turn off the appliance and do not use it again. Do not use the appliance close to hot objects such as a stove or oven. Using the appliance This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: o Staff kitchen areas in shop, offices and other working environment; o Farm houses; o By clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; o Bed and breakfast type environments. The use of accessory attachment not recommended by the appliance manufacturer may cause injuries. Only use the appliance indoors, in dry areas away from water. Do not immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids. There is danger to life due to electric shock!To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not use the appliance outdoors or on wet surfaces. Place the appliance on a stable, level surface from which it cannot fall of. Use the appliance on a flat, dry and heat resistance surface, not on varnished furniture. Place the appliance at least 5cm of the wall or flammable objects (such as curtains, candles or towels). Close supervision is necessary for any appliance being used by or near children Never leave the appliance unattended during use. It is necessary to keep this appliance clean because it is in direct contact with food. Parts of the appliance become hot during use. Therefore, the appliance must only be held by the handle. Avoid touching the metal parts as they become very hot. Caution: In order to avoid a hazard due to inadvertent resetting of the thermal cutout, this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility. Warning!! Please do not touch surface while in use. The accessible surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.
Before using for the first time Clean the baking plates with a damp cloth or sponge. Slightly grease the baking plates with a little or cooking oil. Note: W hen using this ice cream cone maker for the first time, a fine smoke haze may result. This is normal because of the initial heating of the internal components. OPERATION Plug the device into a properly installed mains socket. Turn the adjustment knob to the right temperature level (the green operation lamp will light up). The appliance starts to heat up and the red indicator light illuminates. (the green indicator light goes off during heating)Prepare the ingredients for your toasted waffle. You can refer to the suggested recipe. The appliance requires approx. 4-5 minutes to warm up. W hen the desired temperature has been attained, the green indicator light starts to illuminate. Place a spoon of batter in the middle of the baking plate. Lower the upper cooking plate carefully onto the batter until the waffle is tightly clamped. Open the ice cone maker after 2-3 minutes and check whether the toasted waffle is sufficiently çbrowné. The cooking time required to obtain crisp brown waffles depends on the thickness of the batter used, and your personal taste. Use a non-metallic utensil (e.g. wooden spatula) to remove the toasted waffle. Do not use sharp or abrasive kitchen utensils. If you wish to make a cone you should bend the hot waffle directly on the included mould. After letting the cone to cool down you can easily slide of the cone from the mould. Unplug the ice cone maker from the wall socket after use. Note: During cooking the green Ready To Cook pilot light cycle on and off to maintain the appliance at the correct temperature. Standard recipe 200 grams patent flour 150 grams butter 150 grams castor sugar 2 small eggs 1/ 2 teaspoonful of cinnamon (optional) Melt the butter very slowly. Now add the flour, sugar and eggs to the melted butter and mix this into a smooth batter.
