Damage caused by disregard of certain guidelines in this manual is not covered by the warranty and the dealer will not accept responsibility for any ensuing defects or problems. Do not switch the device on immediately after it has been exposed to changes in temperature. Protect the device against damage by leaving it switched off until it has reached room temperature. 6. Battery Installation
1. Open the transmitter to reveal
the battery compartment. To do so, slightly push the tab at the bottom of the transmitter using a small flat-bladed screwdriver.
2. Install the CR2032 battery
according to the correct polarity.
3. Close the battery
CAUTION: Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type. Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. Where the mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable. Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.
Test the operating range between the receiver and the transmitter. The operating range is 100 m in the open air, but may be less due to walls and other obstructions such as PVC or metal frames.
7.1 Installing the Transmitter
1. Carefully open the housing of
the transmitter and use the back plate as a template. Mark the drilling holes at the required height.
2. Drill the holes using a drill
and the appropriate drill bit (not included).
3. Insert a nylon plug (included)
4. Fix the back plate with the
included screws. Click the front plate onto the back plate.
Remark: You can also fix the transmitter using double-sided tape.
7.2 Installing the Receiver
Simply plug the receiver into the mains.EDB7
8.1 Pairing the Transmitter to the Receiver
1. Make sure both the receiver and transmitter are powered.
2. Press the auto-learning code button on the receiver. Then, press the
push button on the transmitter. The receiver will sound to indicate that the operation code has been registered. One single receiver can memorize up to four different transmitters. Note that you also can pair one transmitter to multiple receivers.
If the receiver sounds for no reason during pairing, it could be due to interference. In this case, please reset the code as per above.
Adjust the volume level, select the melody and activate the visual indication by pressing the appropriate button.

- All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
- Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion. You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.
- Not covered by warranty: - all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits; - consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... - Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non- defective article can also involve handling costs.
- Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
