How to install the battery in the transmitter?

Open the battery compartment on the back of the transmitter using a small flathead screwdriver by lifting the tab. Insert the CR2032 battery respecting polarity, then close the compartment.

How to pair the transmitter with the receiver?

Turn on the receiver and transmitter. Press the auto learning button on the receiver, then press the push button on the transmitter. A beep confirms registration. The receiver can memorize up to 4 transmitters.

What is the range of the doorbell?

The range is about 100 m in open field. It can be reduced by walls, PVC or metal objects.

How to adjust the volume and melody?

Use the volume (high/medium/low) and melody buttons on the receiver. You can also activate visual indication.

What to do if the range is reduced?

Bring the transmitter closer to the receiver or avoid metal obstacles. Test the range before final installation.

Can I use multiple transmitters?

Yes, the receiver can memorize up to 4 transmitters. Repeat the pairing procedure for each transmitter.

How to clean the device?

Clean with a soft dry cloth. Do not use abrasive products or solvents. Protect from humidity.

What to do in case of unwanted beeping?

This may be due to interference. Reset the code by repeating the pairing procedure.

What battery to use in the transmitter?

Use a CR2032 lithium 3 V battery. A spare battery is included. Do not recharge alkaline batteries.

Yes, the warranty is 24 months against manufacturing defects (terms apply). Keep the proof of purchase.

6. Battery Installation

1. Open the transmitter to reveal the battery compartment. To do so, slightly push the tab at the bottom of the transmitter using a small flat-bladed screwdriver.
2. Install the CR2032 battery according to the correct polarity.
3. Close the battery compartment.

Remark: Remove the batteries if the transmitter will not be used for a longer period.

CAUTION:

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

Where the mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.

Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.

7. Installation

Test the operating range between the receiver and the transmitter. The operating range is 100 m in the open air, but may be less due to walls and other obstructions such as PVC or metal frames.

7.1 Installing the Transmitter

1. Carefully open the housing of the transmitter and use the back plate as a template. Mark the drilling holes at the required height.
2. Drill the holes using a drill and the appropriate drill bit (not included).
3. Insert a nylon plug (included) into each hole.
4. Fix the back plate with the included screws. Click the front plate onto the back plate.

Remark: You can also fix the transmitter using double-sided tape.

7.2 Installing the Receiver

Simply plug the receiver into the mains.

8. Operation

8.1 Pairing the Transmitter to the Receiver

1. Make sure both the receiver and transmitter are powered.
2. Press the auto-learning code button on the receiver. Then, press the push button on the transmitter.

The receiver will sound to indicate that the operation code has been registered. One single receiver can memorize up to four different transmitters. Note that you also can pair one transmitter to multiple receivers.

If the receiver sounds for no reason during pairing, it could be due to interference. In this case, please reset the code as per above.

8.2 Other Functions

Adjust the volume level, select the melody and activate the visual indication by pressing the appropriate button.

• All consumer products are subject to a 24-month warranty on production flaws and defective material as from the original date of purchase.
• Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.
  You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

- Not covered by warranty:

• Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.
• Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.
• Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.
• The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
