How to install the doorbell transmitter?
Carefully open the transmitter housing and use the back plate as a template. Mark the drilling holes at the desired height, drill the holes, insert the supplied nylon plugs, and fix the back plate with the screws. Snap the front plate onto the back plate. You can also attach the transmitter with double-sided tape.
How to install the battery in the transmitter?
Use a flat-head screwdriver to open the battery compartment of the transmitter. Insert a CR2032 battery respecting the indicated polarity, then close the compartment.
How to install batteries in the receiver?
Open the receiver, insert 3 AA 1.5 V batteries respecting polarity, then close the compartment. Make sure to use new batteries and remove them if the device is not used for an extended period.
What is the maximum range of the doorbell?
The range is 150 m in free field. Walls, PVC, or metal can reduce the range. Test the range before final installation.
How to pair the transmitter and receiver?
Press and hold the receiver button for 5 seconds until the transmitter emits a double beep. Then press the transmitter button. The transmitter beeps to confirm pairing. If the receiver emits a double beep, pairing failed, repeat.
How to change the melody?
Use the selector [4] on the receiver to choose among the 32 available melodies. Also adjust the volume with the [3] control.
Can I use the doorbell outdoors?
The transmitter has an IP44 protection rating and can be used outdoors. The receiver is intended only for indoor use, protected from rain and moisture.
What to do if the receiver does not ring?
Check that the transmitter and receiver are turned on and the batteries are correctly installed and charged. Make sure the range is sufficient and no major obstacles block the signal. If the problem persists, re-pair the two devices.
How to maintain the doorbell?

4. Battery

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.

Transmitter

  1. Open the transmitter to reveal the battery compartment. Use a flat-head screwdriver.
  2. Install the CR2032 battery according to the correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment. Proceed with the installation.

Receiver

  1. Open the receiver to reveal the battery compartment.
  2. Install 3 x 1.5 V AA batteries according to the correct polarity.
  3. Close the battery compartment. Proceed with the installation.

Remark: Remove the batteries if the transmitter and receiver will not be used for a longer period.

CAUTION:

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like. Do not puncture batteries or throw them in fire as they may explode. Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries (alkaline). Dispose of batteries in accordance with local regulations. Keep batteries away from children.

5. Installation

Perel EDMTWR - Installation - 1

Test the operating range between the receiver and the transmitter. The operating range is 150 m in the open air, but may be less due to walls and other obstructions such as PVC or metal frames.

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.

Transmitter

  1. Carefully open the housing of the transmitter and use the back plate as a template. Mark the drilling holes at the required height.
  2. Drill the holes using a drill and the appropriate drill bit (not included).
  3. Insert a nylon plug (included) into each hole.
  4. Fix the back plate with the included screws. Click the front plate onto the back plate.
  5. Simply plug the receiver into the mains.

Receiver

  1. Choose the installation spot for the receiver.
  2. The receiver can be fixed to a wall using a hook or nail [2].

Remark: You can also fix the transmitter using double-sided tape.

6. Operation

Refer to the illustrations on page 2 of this manual.

  1. Make sure both the receiver and transmitter are powered.

EDM1/EDMTW/EDMTWR

  1. The receiver will ring when the button on the transmitter [1] is pressed.

  2. Select the melody with the melody selector [4] and adjust the volume with volume control button [3].

7. Pairing

  1. On the receiver, hold the button pressed for 5 seconds until you hear a "ding-dong" sound.
  2. Now, press the transmitter button. The transmitter emits a "ding" sound to confirm successful pairing. The receiver emits a "ding-dong" sound when it exits the pairing mode.

- Velleman® can decide to replace an article with an equivalent article, or to refund the retail value totally or partially when the complaint is valid and a free repair or replacement of the article is impossible, or if the expenses are out of proportion.

You will be delivered a replacing article or a refund at the value of 100% of the purchase price in case of a flaw occurred in the first year after the date of purchase and delivery, or a replacing article at 50% of the purchase price or a refund at the value of 50% of the retail value in case of a flaw occurred in the second year after the date of purchase and delivery.

- Not covered by warranty:

- all direct or indirect damage caused after delivery to the article (e.g. by oxidation, shocks, falls, dust, dirt, humidity...), and by the article, as well as its contents (e.g. data loss), compensation for loss of profits;

- consumable goods, parts or accessories that are subject to an aging process during normal use, such as batteries (rechargeable, non-rechargeable, built-in or replaceable), lamps, rubber parts, drive belts... (unlimited list);

- flaws resulting from fire, water damage, lightning, accident, natural disaster, etc....;

- flaws caused deliberately, negligently or resulting from improper handling, negligent maintenance, abusive use or use contrary to the manufacturer's instructions;

- damage caused by a commercial, professional or collective use of the article (the warranty validity will be reduced to six (6) months when the article is used professionally);

- damage resulting from an inappropriate packing and shipping of the article;

- all damage caused by modification, repair or alteration performed by a third party without written permission by Velleman®.

- Articles to be repaired must be delivered to your Velleman® dealer, solidly packed (preferably in the original packaging), and be completed with the original receipt of purchase and a clear flaw description.

- Hint: In order to save on cost and time, please reread the manual and check if the flaw is caused by obvious causes prior to presenting the article for repair. Note that returning a non-defective article can also involve handling costs.

• Repairs occurring after warranty expiration are subject to shipping costs.

- The above conditions are without prejudice to all commercial warranties.
