4. Appliance description
The natural stone heater is an electrically heated marble or soapstone panel, which is regulated by means of a wall mounted room temperature controller.A heating conductor is embedded in the rear of a 30 mm thick natural stone panel for this purpose, which heats the panel evenly.Heat stored in the natural stone panel is released in the form of long wave radiation (comparable with solar rays). Consequently, occupants and objects alike are heated in the room without any air turbulence. Thanks to the use of special rawl plugs for attaching the wall mounting brackets to the natural stone panel, the mounting points are invisible from the front. This means that the structure of the panel is uninterrupted. The wall mounting brackets are convertible, so the natural stone heater can be mounted horizontally or vertically.Towel holderThe towel holder available as a special accessory is used for heating or drying textiles dampened by water (no che-mical cleaning agents).
The natural stone heater is controlled exclusively via a wall mounted room temperature controller (on nished or unnished walls). Observe the operating and installation instructions for the relevant controller.
6. Maintenance and care
Clean the natural stone heater with a damp cloth when it has cooled down. Do not use any abrasive or corrosive cleaning products. INSTALLATION
Only a qualied contractor should carry out installation, commissioning, maintenance and repair of the appliance.
7.1 General safety instructions
We guarantee trouble-free function and operational relia-bility only if original accessories and spare parts intended for the appliance are used. ◦ Fit the appliance to a vertical wall that is tempera-ture-resistant to at least 90 °C. ◦ Maintain the minimum clearances to adjacent object surfaces. ◦ Observe the type plate ◦ The specied voltage must match the mains voltage. ◦ Only use a permanent connection to the power supply. ◦ Never install the appliance directly below a wall socket. ◦ Ensure the appliance can be separated from the power supply by an isolator that disconnects all poles with at least 3 mm contact separation. Do not install the appliance with a xed power cable. ◦ When installing the heating appliance in rooms with a bath and/or shower, observe the safety zone ac-cording to VDE 0100, part 701, in accordance with the details on the appliance type plate. The mains junction box must not be installed in safe-ty zone 1 or 2 in this instance. ◦ Install the appliance in such a way that switching and control equipment cannot be touched by a person in the bath or shower. ◦ Design all materials in accordance with the rated consumption of the appliances.
7.2 Instructions, standards and regulations
Note Observe all applicable national and regional regula-tions and instructions.14 Installation - for contractors

The duct system is then lled with marble adhesive which acts as a cover.
8.2 Standard delivery
The following are delivered with the appliance: ◦ 3 Wall mounting brackets with xing screws ◦ 1 Spacer stud ◦ NSH 35-115: 1 Reector panel ◦ NSH 145-165: 2 Reector panels
8.3 Special accessories
The natural stone heater is controlled via the room tem-perature controller.
- RT 600: Room temperature controller with thermal feedback, breaking capacity 10 A / 230 V ◦ RT 601 SN: Room temperature controller with ther-mal feedback, with ON/OFF switch, breaking capaci-ty 10 A / 230 V, installation on nished walls
- RT 5050 SN: Room temperature controller with ther- mal feedback, with ON/OFF switch, breaking capaci-ty 10 A / 230 V, installation on unnished walls
- RTE 900 SN: Electronic 2-point controller with ON/ OFF switch, breaking capacity 16 A / 230 V, installa-tion on nished walls
- RTE 5050 SN: Electronic 2-point controller with ON/ OFF switch, breaking capacity 16 A / 230 V, installa-tion on unnished walls
- RTF: Digital, wireless room temperature controller with 7-day program, 5 available operating modes
The natural stone heater is intended solely for permanent wall mounting. Ensure the wall offers adequate load-be-aring capacity. It can be installed in any room. In bathrooms, the natural stone heater can be mounted in safety zone 2 (not the mains junction box).
9.2 Aligning the appliance
The natural stone heater is congured at the factory for horizontal installation. If you want to install it vertically, make the following chan-ges before beginning installation: » Replace the wall mounting bracket above the power cable with the diagonally positioned spacer stud. WARNING ElectrocutionEnsure that the power cable is always located at the lower edge. » Rotate both wall mounting brackets with the slot apertures downwards.
Material lossesCarefully tighten the xing screws in the natural stone heater, as otherwise the rawl plugs in the na-tural stone panel may over-rotate and become loose.
9.3 Mounting the reector panel
Depending on size, the appliance is delivered with 1-2 re-ector panels made from aluminium-coated EPS. Reec-tor panels have insulating as well as reecting properties and reduce heat loss through the wall.If you are installing your appliance on an external wall, we recommend mounting the reector panel at the installati-on site before tting the appliance. Note The aluminium coating of the reector panel will rub off slightly. » Wear protective gloves when mounting the re-ector panel. » Use a suitable adhesive (wall adhesive) and a not-ched trowel with medium sized notches (B2 or B3) for mounting the reector panel. » Apply the adhesive to the entire rear surface of the reector panel.15 Installation - for contractors
Material lossesOnly mount the natural stone heater on a at wall, as otherwise cracks may develop in the natural stone panel due to stresses. In the event of unevenness in the mounting wall, level the surface before tigh-tening the xing screws.
Material lossesDo not tilt or tip the natural stone heater. Otherwise, it may break.
Material lossesIf the xing screws are over-tightened, the rawl plugs in the natural stone panel may over-rotate and be-come loose. » Measure dimensions a and b for the drill holes on the natural stone heater. » Based on the measurements, drill the holes in a wall with sufcient load-bearing capacity. Maintain a saf-ety margin of 100 mm on all sides (e.g. dimension b + 100 mm). » Screw the hexagon screws far enough into the drill holes that the natural stone heater can still be hoo-ked over the screw heads with the open slots in the wall mounting brackets. » Hang the natural stone heater. Tighten the hexagon screws. Relieve any stress by slightly loosening the xing screws in the natural stone panel. Then retigh-ten the xing screws.
Material lossesOnly shorten the power cable far enough to be able to hang the natural stone heater without disconnec-ting the power cable.Only connect the natural stone heater to an alternating voltage of 230 V / 50 Hz.NNL’ L NSH
11. Initial start-up
Material lossesWhen heating up the natural stone heater for the rst time, observe a maximum heat-up time of 20 minu-tes. Then let the panel cool down for at least 60 mi-nutes. » Perform this process one more time.In the rst two days of use, heat up the natural stone heater step-by-step to the required room temperature. This way, you avoid hairline cracks. If hairline cracks do develop, these are harmless and do not impair the func-tion or the safety of the natural stone heater.
» Explain the functions of the appliance to the user. Draw special attention to the safety instructions. » Hand over the operating and installation instructions to the user.
