  • The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not t for com- mercial use.
  • Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.

  • Risk of burning! Do not ll past the MAX mark! Hot oil may splatter out and cause injuries!
  • Use frying oils. Frying oils are heat-resistant. Other oils/ fats start smoking at low temperatures. There is the risk of spontaneous ignition.
  • Only use oil of one kind in one frying process. Mixtures of different oils/ fats can foam. In this case, oil may overow uncontrollably.
  • If the appliance should catch re, do not try to extinguish the ames with water in any case. Close the appliance lid. Extinguish the ames with a moist towel.

2. Connect the power cord to a properly installed protective

1. Remove the packaging. The deep-fat frying basket with

handle is located in the deep-fat fryer. The handle can be inserted into the deep-fat frying basket.

2. We recommend cleaning the lid, housing and all accesso-

ries as described under “Cleaning”. Useful hints for use

1. Always remove the food remaining in the oil (e.g. pieces of

French fries). Change the oil after using it 8-10 times.

2. Deep frying fat must be capable of being heated to high

temperatures. Use high quality frying oil or frying grease. Do not use margarine, olive oil or butter: they are not t for frying, because they start to smoke already at low temperatures. In order to reduce the acrylamide content of food containing starch (potatoes, cereals) the temperature during deep-fat frying should not exceed 170°C (or possi- bly 175°C). Furthermore, the frying time should be kept as short as possible and the food only fried until it turns golden yellow.

3. Choose the right frying temperature and check the condi-

tions of the food to be fried. A rule of thumb is that pre-fried foods require a higher temperature than raw foods.

Using the unit Deep-Fat Frying

6. Now ll the deep-fry basket. Please ensure that the basket

is not lled above the hot fat.

7. Open the lid and ll the frying basket with the food to be

fried. Remove the handle from the deep-fat frying basket.

9. At the end of the frying time (the frying time is specied on

the package of the food or in the recipe) open carefully the lid (Warning! Hot steam may be released!). Now remove the deep-fat frying basket with the handle.

10. Let the oil drip from the food being fried.

  • The device is not suitable for making cheese or chocolate fondue. These ingredients could burn or boil over in the deep-fat frying vessel.

If bubbles are formed, the frying fat has reached the right temperature.30

7. Place the pieces of meat on the fondue forks and then dip

them into the oil. Depending on the size of the meat pieces, the cooking process takes between 4 and 7 minutes, i.e. the smaller the pieces of meat or other food are, the faster they are cooked. CAUTION:

  • Place the ingredients carefully into the hot oil. Care is required as you are frying in an open vessel and it is not possible to avoid oil splashes.
  • Dry off the ingredients beforehand with a cloth.

8. Adjust the temperature with the regulator such that the oil

simmers. After Use To switch the device off, rst turn the temperature regulator to OFF and remove the plug from the socket. Allow the frying oil a considerable time to cool down. Before continuing to use the full frying pot, please ensure that it is no longer at a dangerous temperature. Cleaning

  • Clean removable parts and accessories that have come in contact with food or oil by hand in a rinsing bath.
  • Clean the deep-fry container with a moist towel and dish- washing detergent.
  • Wipe out the deep-fry container with the moist towel from the inside.
  • Wipe out the casing with the moist towel from the outside.
  • You may pull off the lid upwards. This facilitates cleaning.
  • Wipe off the appliance lid with the moist towel.
  • To replace the lters, pull the lter cover in the lid of the appliance upwards. Storage
