How to set the timer on the AD 630?

Press the On/Off & Timer button repeatedly to cycle through options: 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours or continuous operation. Each press is confirmed by a beep.

How to change the LED color?

Press the LED button to cycle through modes: automatic color change, fixed color selection, then dimming of that color. Available colors: orange, green, blue, red, yellow, pink, light blue and white. An additional press turns off the LEDs.

What type of water should I use?

Fill the tank only with clear water (preferably demineralized to reduce limescale). Never use other liquids (pure essential oils, alcohol, etc.). You can add a few drops of essential oil directly into the water to fragrance the air.

Can I leave the device running all night?

Yes, you can set the timer to a desired duration (1, 2 or 3 hours) or continuous operation. However, to preserve the device, it is recommended to stop it after 3 hours of continuous operation and let it cool down for at least 60 minutes.

How to clean the diffuser?

Always unplug the device before cleaning. Empty the tank through the Drain Side. Wipe the inside with a soft, dry cloth. For the outside, use a slightly damp cloth, then dry. Never use a brush, sharp objects or chemicals.

How to descale the device?

Descale after 5 to 6 uses or every 14 days. Unplug the device, fill the tank with max. 70 ml of water and add 1 tablespoon of citric acid. Let it sit for 15 minutes, then empty through the Drain Side and wipe with a dry cloth.

The device is not working, what should I do?

Check that the water tank is properly filled (the device only turns on if there is enough water). Ensure the power adapter is correctly plugged in and the outlet works. If the problem persists, contact Medisana customer service.

Can I use essential oils?

Yes, this device is an aroma diffuser. Add a few drops of essential oil to the water in the tank. Avoid adding too much to prevent clogging. If you change scents, rinse the tank with clear water.

Where to place the diffuser?

Place it on a flat and stable surface, away from humidity (not in a bathroom or sauna). Do not place it directly in front of an air conditioner or electrical device. Ensure the air inlets at the bottom are not obstructed.

What is the warranty of the AD 630?

Medisana provides a 3-year warranty from the date of purchase, covering material or manufacturing defects. To claim the warranty, keep the receipt or invoice. Damages due to incorrect use or unauthorized intervention are excluded.

Information on these instructions

These operating instructions contain important information for proper and safe operation of the product.

Therefore, read the operating instructions through in full before you use the product. Otherwise there is a risk of hazards to personnel and damage to the product.

Keep the operating instructions safe. If you pass on the product to third parties, you must also hand over the operating instructions with it.

Intended use

The product is used for giving aroma to the air in closed indoor rooms only. The product is not intended for commercial use but rather only domestic use.

Intended use also includes compliance with all information and specifications contained in these operating instructions. Any use other than for its intended purpose shall be deemed as misuse.

▲ Misuse

Misuse of the product can lead to hazardous situations.

■ Only ever fill the product with water. Do not use any other liquids.
■ Do not use the product in wet rooms, such as bathrooms or sau-nas.

■ Do not use the product in rooms with open fire (fireplace, gas cooker, candles etc.).

■ Do not insert any objects into the openings of the product.

■ Do not place the product directly in front of an air conditioning unit or other electrical devices.

■ The device must be used only with the adaptor (FLD123-120100-V) supplied with the appliance.

Children

This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

■ Make sure that the product is set up out of the reach of children.
■ Make sure that children are not allowed to play with the product at any time.
■ Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
■ Do not leave packaging material lying around unattended. There is a risk of asphyxiation.

Improper handling

Improper handling of the product can cause injuries.

■ Make sure that the product is connected properly. In the process, adhere to these operating instructions.
■ Make sure that the product is used properly. Never cover it.
■ Be aware that unauthorised conversion and / or modification of the product is prohibited. In case of unauthorised conversion and / or modification the warranty cover will be rendered null and void.

■ Never open the water tank during operation.

■ Only empty the water tank on the drain side. It is marked "Drain Side" on the product.

■ Before filling or emptying the product, always pull the mains plug from the socket.

■ Before installation, cleaning or a period in which the product is not used, pull the mains from the socket.

■ Empty the water tank before a period in which the product is not used.
■ Contact the manufacturer or a specialist if you have any doubts regarding the way the product works, its safety or how to connect the product.
■ If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.

Setting up

If liquids, damp air or fire come into contact with the product, there is a risk of injuries.

■ Do not set up the product in rooms with high air humidity, such as bathrooms or saunas.
■ Make sure that no liquids enter into the inside of the housing. This will not only destroy the product but there is also a risk of fire.
■ Protect the product from the effects of the elements. Do not set it up outdoors.

■ Only ever place the product on flat surfaces. If placed on an inclined surface, water from the water tank may enter into the housing.

■ Make sure that the air inlet openings on the base of the product are not covered or sealed.

Functions

The aroma diffuser is a modern fragrance diffuser which uses ultrasound technology to generate a fine mist and thus distribute the fragrance throughout the whole room. The aroma diffuser has the following additional functions:

■ Timer: The timer can be used to switch off the diffusion of the fragrance after a selected period.
■ LED: LEDs are integrated into the aroma diffuser which either light up in the selected colour or change colour automatically.

Operating buttons

The aroma diffuser has two operating buttons which are used to control it. Each push of a button is confirmed by a short beep.

You can only switch on when the water tank is correctly filled.In addition, the button can be used to set the timer for automatic deactivation of the device. 	LED button:By pressing the LED button repeatedly, you can change the colour of the LED lighting on the base of the device.The following colour settings are available:Alternating colours → Single selected colour → Dimming of the selected colour.The colour sequence is orange, green, blue, red, yellow, shocking pink, light blue and pink → Off.

Cleaning and servicing

■ To spare the device, switch it off for at least 60 minutes after three hours of continuous operation.
■ Before cleaning, pull the mains plug.
■ Empty the device via the drain side after each use and dry the water tank with a cloth.
■ Wash the water tank with clear water when you wish to change the aroma. This prevents mixing different aromas.
■ Only clean the outside of the device with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Then rub it dry with a soft, dry cloth.
■ Do not under any circumstances us brushes, sharp cleaning implements, benzene, thinners or alcohol.

Descaling

Descale the device after five or six uses or every 14 days. To do so, proceed as follows:

1. Disconnect the device from the power supply.
2. Fill the water tank with a maximum of 70 ml and add a tablespoonful of citric acid.
3. Allow the liquid to take effect for at least fifteen minutes.
4. Tip out the liquid on the drain side.
5. Wipe out the water tank with a dry cloth.

Disposal

Electrical and electronic components must not be disposed of with the domestic waste.

Once the product reaches the end of its service life, dispose of it and its components separately in accordance with the local valid regulations for disposal.

Warranty and repair terms

Please contact your dealer or the service centre in case of a claim under the warranty. If you have to return the unit, please enclose a copy of your receipt and state what the defect is.

The following warranty terms apply:

1. The warranty period for MEDISANA products is three years from date of purchase. In case of a warranty claim, the date of pur chase has to be proven by means of the sales receipt or invoice.
2. Defects in material or workmanship will be removed free of charge within the warranty period.

3. Repairs under warranty do not extend the warranty period either for the unit or for the replacement parts.

4. The following is excluded under the warranty:

a. All damage which has arisen due to improper treatment, e.g. non-observance of the user instructions.
b. All damage which is due to repairs or tampering by the customer or unauthorised third parties.
c. Damage which has arisen during transport from the manufacturer to the consumer or during transport to the service centre.
d. Accessories which are subject to normal wear and tear.

1. Liability for direct or indirect consequential losses caused by the unit are excluded even if the damage to the unit is accepted as a warranty claim.
