Basic safety instructions
- This electrical appliance is exclusively determined for private use and using in:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments
-in farm houses - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments
- on bed and breakfast type environments.
- Have repairs of Cloer electronic appliances carried out only by authorized Cloer specialist dealers or by the Cloer customer service. Improper repairs can involve substantial dangers for the user. Furthermore, this will void your warranty claims.
- Only operate the appliance at household-usual power sockets. Check if the mains voltage stated on the type plate is up to that of your power supply network.
- If the connector is damaged, it must be replaced by an authorized Cloer specialist dealer or the Cloer customer service to avoid endangering.

- Only pull at the plug, never at the feed cable.
- Do not tighten the feed cable too tight as otherwise the appliance is likely to tip over.

- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
- Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Children shall not play with the appliance.
- This appliance is not intended for use by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible of their safety.
- Protect your appliance from humidity (splash water / rain).
- Let the appliance cool off before cleaning or stowing away.
- This appliance should not be operated due to an external timer or separate remote control system.
- Do not immerse appliance in water and do not clean under running water!

Preparation for use

- Remove all packaging elements and labels, but not the rating plate.
- Place the sandwich maker on a dry, non-slip, level surface.
Safety information

The appliance meets the requirements of the applicable EC directives.

The appliance is intended for in door use only.

Attention! Always unglug appliance before cleaning and when not in use!
Before initial use
- Read these operating instructions carefully before using the appliance for the first time.
- Clean the toasting surfaces with a moist cloth before heating appliance the first time.
- Grease the toasting surfaces before initial use; subsequent greasing is not necessary, due to the non-stick coating.
- For reasons of hygiene, please do not consume the first 2 sandwiches..
- Use only wooden or heat-resistant plastic utensils to remove the sandwiches in order to prevent the non-stick coating from being scratched.

The toasting surfaces of the appliance become hot during operation. Please avoid touching the metal parts. Danger of being burned!
Operation
- Plug the power plug into the wall socket; the red control lamp will light up.
- Before toasting the sandwiches, the sandwich maker must be pre-heated until the red control lamp goes out for the first time.
- CAUTION: The appliance now becomes hot.
- Once the red control lamp goes out, the appliance is ready for operation.
- Place the sandwiches with toppings on the lower to -asting surface.

Now close the appliance. Make sure that the locking handle locks into place.

Shortly after closing the lid, the red control lamp lights up.
- The sandwiches are finished as soon as the red control lamp goes out.
- Please remove the sandwiches from the appliance as soon as they have finished baking.
- If you wish to bake more sandwiches, place more sandwiches in the appliance immediately. It is not necessary to wait for the appliance to pre-heat again.
Preparation
- Before you start toasting, it is recommended that you have all ingredients ready. You can also prepare all sandwiches to be toasted beforehand to reduce waiting times between sandwiches.
- Spread butter on the outer sides of the slices of bread.
- Any type of toast bread can be used, e.g. rye or multigrain, as long as the slices fit into the baking surfaces.
Cleaning
Always remove the power plug before cleaning.
- Use a paper towel to clean the appliance while still warm.
- Tip: Place two absorbent paper towels between the baking surfaces and close the appliance. Afterwards, wipe the sandwich maker with a damp cloth, but never under flowing water.
- Do not use caustic cleaning agents.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water.
For the creative cook
- In making your own sandwich creations you are limited only by your own imagination. Here is a list of ingredients you can use:
- Salami, cooked ham, tuna fish, you can also use leftover -vers from the Sunday roast.
- Fruits or vegetables, such as tomatoes, bell peppers, asparagus, cucumbers, onions, mushrooms, pineapple, peaches, apricots, mandarin oranges, bananas, any type of cheese: sliced, grated or crushed. Soft cheeses that melt quickly are especially suitable for toasted sandwiches.
- Use herbs and spices according to your individual taste.

We use environmentally friendly packaging for the transport of our appliances. Please recycle cardboard/paper and plastic packaging appropriately.

ATTENTION!
Electrical appliances should not be disposed of with the household trash.
Electrical appliances contain valuable raw materials. When an appliance is worn-out, please take it to a recognised recycling facility. Consult the local authorities for information on recycling appliances.
Warranty
Cloer electrical appliances are in conformity with the currently required EC-guidelines and safety regulations. If your Cloer electrical appliance has a defect or it does not work properly, contact your specialist dealer. Registered clients have at their disposal our technical customer service.
Manufacturer warranty
Please register your appliances in the period of 6 months since the purchase in order to benefit from our manufacturer warranty. The published conditions of warranty in the moment of the registration are valid. You will find conditions of warranty and product registration here:
