General Notes
Read the operating instructions carefully before putting the appliance into operation and keep the instructions including the warranty, the receipt and, if possible, the box with the internal packing. If you give this device to other people, please also pass on the operating instructions.
- The appliance is designed exclusively for private use and for the envisaged purpose. This appliance is not fit for commercial use.
- Do not use it outdoors. Keep it away from sources of heat, direct sunlight, humidity (never dip it into any liquid) and sharp edges. Do not use the appliance with wet hands. If the appliance is humid or wet, unplug it immediately.
- When cleaning or putting it away, switch off the appliance and always pull out the plug from the socket (pull the plug itself, not the lead) if the appliance is not being used and remove the attached accessories.
- Do not operate the machine without supervision. If you leave the room you should always turn the device off. Remove the plug from the socket.
- The device and the mains lead have to be checked regularly for signs of damage. If damage is found the device must not be used.
- Use only original spare parts.
- In order to ensure your children's safety, please keep all packaging (plastic bags, boxes, polystyrene etc.) out of their reach.

On the product you will find the following symbol for warning and information purposes:

WARNING: Hot surface! Hot water steam!
Risk of burns!
During operation and afterwards, the temperature of the accessible surfaces will be very high.
- Do not touch the appliance during or immediately after operation.
- Do not open the lid during operation!
- Let the appliance cool down after use before opening the lid!
- Open the lid only by using the handle on the lid.
- The bottles and accessories are hot after disinfection. Use the gripper for removing these components.
• This appliance shall not be used by children.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
- Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
- Do not try to repair the appliance on your own. Always contact an authorized technician. To avoid the exposure to danger, always have a faulty cable be replaced only by the manufacturer, by our customer service or by a qualified person and with a cable of the same type.
- Only use the appliance in a dry, indoor area. It is only intended for domestic use.
It is not intended for the following purposes:
- In staff kitchens in shops, offices and other commercial areas;
- By guests in hotels, motels and other accommodation facilities;
- On agricultural estates;
- In bed-and-breakfast establishments.
CAUTION:
Do not immerse the device into water for cleaning. Please follow the instructions as stipulated in the chapter “Cleaning”.

Unpacking the Appliance
- Remove the appliance from its packing.
-
Remove any packaging material such as plastic films, filling material, cable ties and cardboard.

Check the delivery scope for completeness.
- Check the appliance for any transport damage in order to prevent hazards.
- In case of incomplete delivery or damage, do not use the appliance. Return it to the dealer immediately.
i NOTE:
There may be dust or production residue on the appliance. We recommend cleaning the appliance as described under "Cleaning".
Instructions for Use
CAUTION:
- Only use the appliance for disinfecting baby bottles including accessories or other boil-proof items. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for each respective item.
- Never turn on the appliance without water.
- Fill the container with at least 80 ml of water.
- The more water you pour in, the longer the disinfection process.
- Do not open the lid before the disinfection process has been finished. That is the only way to ensure that germs will be killed.
i NOTE:
- We recommend using only distilled water in order to prevent calcification of the appliance. If you do not have distilled water, use fresh tap water only.
- Clean all items to be disinfected thoroughly before disinfecting.
Electrical connection
The main switch is on the rear of the device.
- Set the main switch to "○" position, otherwise the device can accidentally start.
- Check whether the electrical voltage that you intend to use is the same as that of the machine. Refer to the rating plate on the container for detailed specifications.
- Connect the mains cable to a properly installed earthed wall outlet.
Assembly
- Insert the rod into the cavity in the center of the bottle basket. Turn the rod clockwise until it locks into place.
- Slide the bottle holder and the tray for small parts onto the rod.
- Place the assembled rack in the container.
- Install the appliance on a flat working surface.
On/Off
- Switch the device with the main switch on the rear of the device on “—” and off “○”.
- Use the Power switch (10) to switch the device on.
CAUTION:
If the operating control lamp lights up when switching the device on, then it is directly operable. Heating starts immediately, even if the container is empty.
Prior to first-time use
Operate the appliance with installed accessories once without items to be disinfected. To do so, follow the instructions below.
Use
- Make sure the mains plug is not connected to a wall socket. Set the main switch to "○" position.
- Fill the container with distilled water.
- Place the baby bottles with the opening facing downwards in the bottle case. Place the dummy or other small parts on the tray.
- Place the assembled rack with the items to be disinfected in the container.
- Place the lid on the container.
- Connect the appliance to a properly installed earthed plug socket.
- Set the main switch to “” position.
- If the operating control lamp does not light up, turn on the appliance using the power switch. The control lamp will indicate the operating mode.
i NOTE:
- When the water has evaporated, the appliance will turn off automatically. The control lamp turns off.
- The operating time depends on the amount of water poured in.
- To cancel the disinfection process, set the main switch to "O" position.
After disinfection
WARNING: Risk of scalding and burning!
- Let the appliance cool down for at least 5 minutes before opening the lid carefully!
- Remove the disinfected items only with the gripper. The items are very hot!
i NOTE:
- Use the disinfected items immediately after removing them from the appliance. Otherwise they will have to be disinfected again.

If you keep the lid of the appliance closed, the items in the container remain disinfected for a maximum of 3 hours. After that they will have to be disinfected again, no matter whether the appliance had been opened or not.

Set the main switch to “O” position.
- Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
- Shake off residual water on the items.
- Pour the remaining water out of the container.
- Let the appliance cool down for at least 10 minutes before drying the container with a cloth or using the appliance again.
Cleaning
WARNING:
- Set the main switch to “○” position. Remove the plug from the wall outlet. Wait until the device has cooled down.
- Never immerse the container with base heater into water. This could cause electric shock or fire.
CAUTION:
- Do not use any wire brush or other abrasive objects.
- Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
Clean the appliance including its accessories with a damp cloth only.
Decalcification
If using tap water for disinfection, limescale will form on the heating surface of the container. Regularly remove such limescale in order to ensure proper operation of the appliance.
- The frequency of the decalcifying operation depends on the hardness of the water and on how often the appliance is used.
- Please do not use vinegar but a commercially available decalcification agent on the basis of citric acid. Only use the quantities stated in the instructions.
- Pour out the liquid after removing limescale. Rinse the container with clear water and then wipe it dry with a cloth.
Troubleshooting
- It is not possible to switch the machine on.
Possible Cause:
The appliance has no power supply.
Remedy:
- Check the socket with another appliance.
- Plug in the mains plug correctly.
- Check the main circuit breaker.
Possible Cause:
The appliance is faulty.
Remedy:
Contact our service center or a specialist.
Possible Cause:
The appliance has not cooled down sufficiently after operation.
Remedy:
Allow the machine to cool down for 10 min.
- The appliance generates too little steam. The machine switches off before the water has boiled.
Possible Cause:
Heavy limescale on the heating surface.
Remedy:
Descale the machine as instructed.
