How to set the time on the Mpman FRAL501 clock radio?

Press and hold the TIME SET button for 2 seconds. The 24h mode flashes. Use TUNING + and - to select 12h or 24h mode, then press TIME SET. Hours flash: set with TUNING - for hours and TUNING + for minutes. Press TIME SET again to confirm, or wait 3 seconds.

How to set an alarm on the FRAL501?

Check that the time is correct. In clock mode, press and hold AL1 or AL2 for 2 seconds. Hours flash: set hours with TUNING - and minutes with TUNING +. Press the same alarm button to confirm. Then choose the sound source: FM (frequency flashes) or buzzer (display shows bb). Press the alarm button to turn off the alarm.

How to listen to FM radio?

Fully unfold the FM wire antenna. Press ⏻/ AUTO to turn on the radio. The FM frequency is displayed. For automatic search, press and hold TUNING + or - for 2 seconds. For manual search, press TUNING + or - repeatedly.

How to save an FM radio station to memory?

Tune to the desired station. Press MEMORY to activate saving mode. Use TUNING + or - to select a preset number (P01 to P20). Press MEMORY again to confirm. You can also do an automatic search by pressing and holding / AUTO for 2 seconds in FM mode.

How to use the snooze function?

When the alarm sounds, press SNOOZE / NIGHT LIGHT. The alarm stops for 9 minutes, then sounds again. The AL1 or AL2 indicator flashes during this time.

How to set the sleep timer?

In radio mode, press the multifunction button DIMMER/SLEEP/NAP repeatedly to select the duration (5, 15, 30, 45, 60, 90 or 120 minutes). The SLEEP indicator lights up. To deactivate, press until the indicator disappears.

How to set the nap timer?

In clock mode, press DIMMER/SLEEP/NAP repeatedly to select the duration (same options as sleep). The NAP indicator lights up. To deactivate, press until the indicator turns off.

How to turn on the night light and adjust screen brightness?

For the night light, press and hold SNOOZE / NIGHT LIGHT to turn on/off (except during an alarm). To adjust brightness, press and hold DIMMER for 2 seconds to switch between high and low levels.

How to install the backup batteries and what are they for?

Open the compartment under the device and insert 2 LR06/AA batteries (not included) respecting polarity. These batteries save the time in case of a power outage. The screen does not light up, but the time is retained in memory. For long outages, the batteries may run out. Replace if necessary and do not dispose of used batteries with household waste.

How to maintain and clean the FRAL501 clock radio?

Always unplug the device before cleaning. Use a soft dry cloth. Do not use liquids, aerosols or abrasive products. Avoid any exposure to water or moisture. For technical issues, contact MPMAN consumer service.

SET TIME

Press and hold TIME SET for two seconds.

1. Preset 24 shows 24 hour mode.

2. Press TUNING + - to select 24 or 12 hour mode.

3. Press TIME SET to confirm 24 or 12 hour mode.

4. Press TUNING - to set hour.
5. Press TUNING + to set minute
6. Press TIME SET again to confirm setting or the setting will be confirmed automatically if no button is used within 3 seconds.

LISTEN TO FM RADIO

For better reception, fully extend and adjust the position of the FM antenna wire.

1. AUTO to turn on FM radio.

■ [FM frequency] is displayed and FM indicator is light up.
2. Press TUNING + - for two seconds.
■ The FM Tuner tunes to a station with strong reception automatically.

STORE FM RADIO STATIONS

You can store up to 20 FM radio stations in preset channel automatically or manually.

STORE FM RADIO STATIONS AUTOMATICALLY (AUTO SCAN)

1. Press ⏻/ AUTO to turn on FM radio for 2 seconds.

■ The received stations are automatically stored to preset numbers.

STORE FM RADIO STATIONS MANUALLY

1. Tune to an FM radio station.
2. Press MEMORY to activate the storing mode.
3. Press TUNING + - to select the preset number.
4. Press MEMORY again to store the radio station.

■ [P 01 \~ P 20] is preset station numbers.

■ If this position is occupied, the previous stored frequency will be displayed;

■ To remove a pre-stored FM radio station, store another station in its place.

LISTEN TO A PRESET FM RADIO STATION

1. In FM mode, press MEMORY to select a preset number.
2. Press TUNING + - to select preset station.

SET ALARM TIMER

Make sure that you have set the clock correctly.

You can set two separate alarm timers. For the alarm sound, you can select the FM radio or the buzzer.

1. Press ⏻/ AUTO to Clock mode.
2. Press and hold AL1/AL2 for two seconds.
   ■ [0:00] Hour digit is blink.
3. Press TUNING - to set the alarm hour and TUNING + to set the alarm minute.

4. Press AL1/AL2 to confirm setting.

5. Press AL1/AL2 again to select a sound source: FM or BUZZER.

■ The current FM radio frequency is blink if FM radio source is selected and AL1 / AL2 indicator is light up.
■ [bb] is blink if the buzzer sound is selected and AL1 / AL2 indicator is light up.
■ Press AL1/AL2 to off alarm function and AL1/AL2 indicator is off.
■ Press TIME SET to confirm setting or the setting will be confirmed automatically if no button is used within 3 seconds.

SNOOZE ALARM

When alarm sounds, press SNOOZE / NIGHT LIGHT to activate the snooze time 9 minutes.

■ The AL1 / AL2 indicator keeps blinking.

SET SLEEP TIMER

1. Press ⏻/ AUTO to radio mode.
2. Press DIMMER/SLEEP/NAP multi-function button repeatedly to select the sleep timer period (in minutes).

■ When the sleep timer is activated, Sleep indicator is light on.

To deactivate the sleep timer, press DIMMER/SLEEP/NAP multi-function button repeatedly until back to radio frequency.

SET NAP TIMER

1. Press ⏻/ AUTO to clock mode.
2. Press DIMMER/SLEEP/NAP repeatedly to select the NAP timer period (in minutes).
   ■ When the nap timer is activated, NAP indicator is light up. To deactivate the nap timer, press DIMMER/SLEEP/NAP repeatedly until NAP indicator off.

ADJUST VOLUME

While listening, press + VOLUME – to adjust volume.

TURN ON NIGHT LIGHT

Press SNOOZE / NIGHT LIGHT button to on and off the night light except during alarming as this button is worked as Snooze button.

Press and hold DIMMER for 2 seconds repeatedly to select high or low brightness levels.

BATTERY BACK-UP

(For Temporary Time Storage Only)

Install 2 x LR06, AA or EU-3 battery (not included) according to polarity shown inside the battery compartment. In the event of a power interruption, your set will not work normally from the mains supply but there is now the advantage that your clock will continue to work. The clock display will not light up, as the clock time will be held in the memory. This also enables you to move the set from place to place without re-setting the clock every time. The battery back-up system is only meant to be used from short temporary power interruption. For longer durations, the battery may become exhausted or there may be some deviation in accuracy. When the battery is exhausted, it should be removed from the set to prevent leakage. If you do not wish to take advantage of the battery back-up system, your set will work normally without a battery. However, if disconnected from the mains, the clock figures will flash when the mains are re-connected and you must re-set the clock as described in the Electronic Clock Operation paragraph.

Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal. Don't throw used batteries in dustbin. Please contact your retailer in order to protect the environment.
