When the frying process is finished, lift up the basket to rest on the hook, and after some time open the lid. This allows the excessive oil to drop into the oil tank. The food is then ready for serve. To avoid early degradation of the oil, do not add salt or spices above the oil of during frying.
When the frying is finished, switch off the fryer by rotating the temperature control knob to its minimum position and press the main switch to position "0". Unplug the appliance to disconnect the power supply.
There is a reset button for safety limitation on the bottom of heater assembly. The safety limitation prevents the oil temperature from rising too high. If the fryer does not heat up, it is possible that the limitation is triggered and cut off the power supply. One of such situation is that the fryer has been operated without oil or insufficient oil in the oil tank. Pressing the reset button will put the safety limitation back to normal operation. There is also a protection device on the heater assembly to ensure that the fryer operates only when the heater assembly is seated properly on the fryer. Check the seating of the heater assembly if the fryer does not operate.
