Warranty The warranty period is 12 months for industrial use and 24 months for consumers. The warranty starts on the day of purchase of the appliance. The warranty exclusively applies to material or manufacturing defects. The original proof of purchase including the date of purchase must be submitted when applying a claim in the warranty period. The warranty does not cover any unauthorised use such as appliance overload, violent use, damage by a foreign person or an undesirable item. The failure to follow the Operating Instructions and assembly instructions and common wear and tear are also excluded from the warranty.

General safety instructions Check the appliance whenever it is to be used. If the safety equipment and/or blades are damaged or worn out, the appliance may not be used. The safety instructions must always be followed. Use the appliance only for the purposes specified in the Operating Instructions. Safety in the place of your work is your responsibility. Before starting the appliance, check the area to be cut. Remove any undesirable items you find. Be careful about undesirable items during your work. If you hit any obstacle when cutting, switch the appliance off (release the switch) and remove the obstacle. If the blades are blocked, switch the appliance off and remove the defect (thick branch, undesirable item) using a blunt item. Never use fingers – live blades may cause serious injury. Remove the battery before removing the defect. Blades run down for a while after switching the appliance off! Check the electric cable at regular intervals for damage and wear (fragile cable).The cable may only be used when in a perfect state. Work under good visibility only. Stand steadily when working. Be careful when reversing - risk of tripping! If you interrupt your work and wish to continue in any other place, the appliance must be switched off before moving to such place. Never use the appliance when raining or in moist conditions. Protect the charger and the cable against damage and sharp edges. Any damaged cable must immediately be replaced by an electrician. Never use the appliance when raining. Do not let the appliance standing outdoors. The appliance may not be used in wet conditions. Wearing safety gloves is recommended when working with the appliance. Wear suitable working clothes such as gloves and non-slip shoes. Do not wear wide pieces of clothing. Long hair should be protected by a hairnet. Avoid abnormal body posture and provide stability. Make sure there is a safe distance between the appliance and your body when the appliance is on. Make sure there are no persons and animals in the place of your work (turning radius). No cables maybe present in the cutting area. Use the appliance only when in a proper state, ready for operation. Check the blades at regular intervals for any damage. If necessary, make sure the appliance is professionally repaired by the customer service or a qualified workshop. Keep the appliance in a dry place, inaccessible to children. If the appliance is not being used, it must be fitted with a protective cover included in the supply to prevent any accidental contact with the blades. The appliance may not be overloaded. Do not use the appliance for works for which it has not been designed. The appliance must be regularly checked and serviced. Damaged blades to be always replaced in pairs. If the appliance is damaged by impact (falling on hard surface, etc.), it must immediately be checked by an expert. Treat your appliance carefully. Keep it clean and sharp to make sure cutting is efficient and safe. Follow the maintenance and cleaning regulations. The appliance has not been designed to be used by persons (including children) with physical, sensory or mental limitation. Persons lacking experience in or knowledge of the appliance may not work with the appliance either. Batteries to be charged in chargers recommended by the manufacturer only. Risk of fire for a charger suitable for a certain type of batteries if used with other batteries. Only specified batteries to be used in electric tools. Keep battery not being used out of reach of office clips, coins, keys, nails, screws and other small metal items able to cause bridging. Short-circuit between battery contacts may cause burns or fire. Fluid may leak when the appliance is used improperly. Avoid contacting the fluid. Rinse with water in case of accidental contact. Seek medical advice when eyes are affected. Fluid leaked from the battery may irritate the skin. Electrical safety CAUTION! Electric shock! Risk of electric shock! Unplug the appliance when removing defects and before servicing the appliance. To be used on connectors with a protective switch against stray current (RCD)! Protect the injured person from other injuries and calm him/her down. In case of accident, first aid kit must always be available in the place of your work in accordance with DIN 13164. Environment-friendly disposal of batteries Lithium-ion batteries are subject to disposal. Have any defective batteries disposed by an authorised seller. Batteries must be removed from the appliance before they are scarped

Do not throw electric appliances to household refuse. According to the European Directive No. 2002/96/EG on waste electrical and electronic equipment and based on including this Directive in the national law, separate collection of worn electrical equipment must be provided and such equipment must be recycled in an environment-friendly manner

Recycling alternative of recovery: Alternatively to sending equipment back, the electrical equipment owner is obliged to cooperate in the professional evaluation. An old appliance may also be left to a collection centre that will provide disposal in accordance with the national law regarding circulation management and waste. This does not apply to parts of accessories and aids connected to old appliances and not containing electrical components. 9Operator requirements The operator must carefully read the Operating Instructions before using the appliance. Qualification: No special qualification is necessary for using the appliance apart from detailed instruction by an expert. Minimum age: The appliance can only be operated by persons over 16 years of age. An exception includes youngsters operating the appliance within their professional education to achieve necessary skills under trainer's supervision.

Training: Using the appliance only requires appropriate instructions by a professional or reading the Operating Instructions. No special training necessary.

Assembly and putting the appliance into operation for the first time Notice: The battery is supplied charged to some extent. To guarantee full performance of the battery, charge it to the full extent before using it. The lithium-ion battery may be charged at any time, without the service life being shortened. Charging interruption does not damage the battery. The lithium-ion battery is electronically protected against deep discharge. Due to the protective switch, the electric appliance is switched off when the battery is empty: The inserted tool is not moving any longer. Stop pressing the On/Off button after the electric appliance is automatically switched off. If the battery is not being used, it is recommended to charge it to the full extent at least once in 6 months. Make sure the blade cover is fitted, which prevents cutting injuries!

• Compare the voltage of your network with that of the charger. If they correspond, plug the charger.

• Put the charging cable to the respective outlet at the back of the handle of the garden tool set.

• Charge the battery to the full extent (it takes 3-5 hours, depending on how much charged the battery is)

• Remove the blade cover

• To activate the garden tool set, press the switch handle first before the switch button.

• The garden tool set is now ready to be operated Changing the blade Make sure the blade cover is fitted, which prevents cutting injuries! For this purpose, lift the deflected cover with the arrow (pic. C) and pull it up for 6-8 mm in the control handle direction. The cover can be removed now. Moreover, it may be necessary to slightly adjust (shift) the blade fixture in a way the blade matches the drive wheel. The blade opening must precisely match both centering pins (D/c).
