SAFETY ADVICE AND WAR-

NINGS - This appliance is for household use only, not professional or industrial use. This appliance is only for domestic use, not for industrial or professional use. It is not intended to be used by guests in hospitality environments such as bed and breakfast, hotels, motels, and other types of residential envi- ronments, even in farm houses, areas of the kitchen staff in shops, ofces and other work environments. - This appliance can be used by people unused to its handling, disabled people if they have been given supervision or ins- truction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and un- derstand the hazards involved. - This appliance can be used by people unused to its handling, disabled people or children aged from 8 years and above if they have been given super- vision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the ha- zards involved. - Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised - Keep the appliance and its cable out of reach of children under the age of eight. - This appliance is not a toy. Take the appliance to an authorised Technical Assistance Service In order to prevent any danger, do not attempt to dis- mantle or repair it yourself. - Ensure that the voltage indicated on the nameplate matches the mains voltage before plugging in the appliance. - Connect the appliance to a base with an earth socket withstanding a minimum of 10 amperes. - The appliance’s plug must t into the mains socket properly. Do not alter the plug. Do not use plug adaptors. - Do not force the electrical wire. Never use the electric wire to lift up, carry or unplug the appliance. - Do not wrap the cable around the appliance. - Do not allow the connection cable to come into contact with the appliance’s hot surfaces. - Check the state of the power cord. Damaged or tangled cables increase the risk of electric shock. - Do not touch the plug with wet hands. - Do not use the appliance if the cable or plug is damaged. - If any of the appliance casings breaks, immedia- tely disconnect the appliance from the mains to prevent the possibility of an electric shock. - Do not use the appliance if it has fallen on the oor, if there are visible signs of damage or if it has a leak. - Place the appliance on a horizontal, at, stable surface, suitable for withstanding high tempe- ratures and away from other heat sources and contact with water. - This appliance is not suitable for outdoor use. USE AND CARE: - Fully unroll the appliance’s power cable before each use. - Do not switch the appliance on without water. - Do not use the appliance if the on/off switch does not work. - Do not move the appliance while in use. - Do not turn the appliance over while it is in use or connected to the mains. - Respect the MAX and MIN levels - Disconnect the appliance from the mains when not in use and before undertaking any cleaning task. - Unplug the appliance from the mains before re- lling the water tank. - This appliance should be stored out of reach of children and/or the disabled. - Do not put the appliance away if it is still hot. - Only use water with the appliance. - The appliance is only intended for heating wa- ter; as a consequence the appliance should not be used for the cooking or heating of milk… - WARNING: Do not use the appliance if the glass is cracked or broken. SERVICE: - Make sure that the appliance is serviced only by specialist personnel, and that only original spare parts or accessories are used to replace existing parts/accessories. - Any misuse or failure to follow the instruc- tions for use renders the guarantee and the manufacturer’s liability null and void.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE

BEFORE USE: - Make sure that all the product’s packaging has been removed. - Before using the product for the rst time it is advisable to boil water within, so as to remove all remaining dust and impurities. - Before using the product for the rst time, clean the parts that will come into contact with food in the manner described in the cleaning section. FILLING WITH WATER: - The deposit must be lled with water before turning the appliance on. - Extract the receptacle from its place. - Open the lid by pressing the opening button. - Fill the receptacle taking care to observe the MAX and MIN level- Close the lid. - Replace the tank in its housing, ensuring that it is well tted. USE: - Attach the appliance to its base / connector making sure that it is correctly tted into place. - Connect the appliance to the mains. - Turn the appliance on using the on/off switch. - The pilot light (E) comes on. - Once the water is boiling the pilot light will switch off and the kettle will stop automatically. - Remove the kettle from its base and pour the water - Do not open the lid when pouring the water

ONCE YOU HAVE FINISHED USING THE

APPLIANCE: - Unplug the appliance to the mains. - Remove the water from the interior of the appliance. - Clean the appliance CORD HOUSING - This appliance has a cable compartment situa- ted on its underside CARRY HANDLE/S: - The device has a handle on the rear part so it can be transported easily and comfortably. CLEANING - Disconnect the appliance from the mains and let it cool before undertaking any cleaning task. - Clean the electrical equipment and the mains connection with a damp cloth and dry. DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. - Clean the equipment using a damp cloth with a few drops of washing-up liquid and then dry. - Do not use solvents, or products with an acid or base pH such as bleach, or abrasive products, for cleaning the appliance.
