You have purchased a Princess appliance. Our aim is to provide quality products with a tasteful design and at an affordable price. We hope that you will enjoy this appliance for many years.

Your 242000 Princess milk frother has been designed for frothing milk and heating milk. The appliance is suitable for indoor use only. The appliance is suitable for domestic use only. The maximum capacity for frothing milk is 125 ml. The maximum capacity for heating milk is 375 ml.

Initial use
Clean the appliance. Refer to the section • "Cleaning and maintenance".

Use (fig. A)
Before you proceed, we need you to pay attention to the following notes:
- Before filling the milk jar, switch off the appliance and remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
Before you proceed, we would like you to focus your attention on the following notes: - Do not use the appliance without milk in the milk jar. The appliance will not operate if the milk jar is empty.
- When heating milk only, make sure that the milk level is between the minimum mark and the maximum mark on the milk level indicator (fig. A).
- Do not fill the milk jar with more milk than required. Only use the amount of milk required for frothing the milk.
Frothing milk (fig. A)
The appliance can be used for heating and frothing milk and for frothing milk only.
Before you proceed, we would like you to focus your attention on the following notes:
- Before frothing milk, make sure that the stirrer is mounted to the milk frothing unit.
- Before frothing milk, make sure that the stand is mounted to the milk frothing unit.
Heating and frothing milk (fig. A & B)
Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface.
Fill the milk jar (7) with milk (125 ml).
Make sure that the stirrer (4) is mounted to the milk frothing unit (3).
Make sure that the stand (6) is mounted to the milk frothing unit (3).
Place the milk frothing unit (3) into the • milk jar (7).
Place the milk jar (7) into the jar holder (9). Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
Shortly press the HEAT/FROTH button (1). • The HEAT/FROTH button (1) flashes red.
The appliance starts to heat and froth the milk.
To interrupt the process, press the HEAT/•FROTH button (1).
- If the process is completed, the appliance will go to stand-by mode. The HEAT/FROTH button (1) lights red. The AUTO CLEAN button (2) lights blue.
- Wait for approximately 30 seconds to achieve the best results.
- Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.
- Remove the milk jar (7) from the jar holder (9).
- Remove the milk frothing unit (3) from the milk jar (7).
- Place milk frothing unit (3) into the jar holder (9). The jar holder (9) can be used as a drip tray.
• Pour the milk froth into a cup of coffee.
Frothing milk only (fig. A & B)
Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface.
Fill the milk jar (7) with milk (125 ml).
Make sure that the stirrer (4) is mounted to the milk frothing unit (3).
Make sure that the stand (6) is mounted to the milk frothing unit (3).
Place the milk frothing unit (3) into the milk jar (7).
Place the milk jar (7) into the jar holder (9). Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
Keep the HEAT/FROTH button (1) pressed • for 2 seconds. The HEAT/FROTH button (1) flashes red. The appliance starts to froth the milk.
To interrupt the process, press the HEAT/•FROTH button (1).
If the process is completed, the appliance will go to stand-by mode. The HEAT/FROTH button (1) lights red. The AUTO CLEAN button (2) lights blue.
Wait for approximately 30 seconds to achieve the best results.
Remove the mains plug from the wall • socket.
Remove the milk jar (7) from the jar holder • (9).
Remove the milk frothing unit (3) from the milk jar (7).
Place milk frothing unit (3) into the jar • holder (9). The jar holder (9) can be used as a drip tray.
• Pour the milk froth into a cup of coffee.

The appliance can be used for heating milk only.

- Before heating milk, make sure that the stirrer is removed from the milk frothing unit.
- Before heating milk, make sure that the stand is mounted to the milk frothing unit.
Place the appliance on a stable and flat surface.
- Fill the milk jar (7) with the required amount of milk (max. 375 ml).
- Make sure that the stirrer (4) is removed from the milk frothing unit (3).
Make sure that the stand (6) is mounted to the milk frothing unit (3).
Place the milk frothing unit (3) into the milk jar (7).
Place the milk jar (7) into the jar holder (9). Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
- Shortly press the HEAT/FROTH button (1). The HEAT/FROTH button (1) flashes red.
The appliance starts to heat the milk.

If the process is completed, the appliance will go to stand-by mode. The HEAT/FROTH button (1) lights red. The AUTO CLEAN button (2) lights blue.

Place milk frothing unit (3) into the jar • holder (9). The jar holder (9) can be used as a drip tray.
Pour the milk into an empty glass or mug.
Cleaning and maintenance
Before you proceed, we need you to pay attention to the following notes:
- Before cleaning or maintenance, always switch off the appliance, remove the mains plug from the wall socket and wait until the appliance has cooled down.
- Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquids.
Before you proceed, we would like you to focus your attention on the following notes:
- Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance.
- Do not use sharp objects to clean the appliance.
- It is not recommended to wash the removable parts of the appliance or the accessories in a dishwasher.
- Do not hold the milk frothing unit upside down to prevent water and other liquids from entering the inside of the appliance.
Always hold the milk frothing unit as shown (fig. C).
Regularly check the appliance for possible damage.
Hold the milk frothing unit as shown to clean it under running water (fig. C). Clean the heating element with the cleaning brush.
Thoroughly dry the milk frothing unit.
Remove the stirrer from the milk frothing · unit. Clean the stirrer with a soft, damp cloth and a few drops of washing-up liquid.
Thoroughly dry the stirrer. Mount the stirrer to the milk frothing unit.
Clean the stand, the milk jar and the jar • holder in soapy water. Thoroughly dry the accessories.
After cleaning, put the appliance in the original packaging.
Store the appliance in a dry and frost-free · place, out of the reach of children.
Automatic cleaning function (fig. A)
Before you proceed, we would like you to focus your attention on the following notes:
- Before automatic cleaning, make sure that the stand is mounted to the milk frothing unit.
Fill the milk jar (7) with 375 ml of water. Place the milk frothing unit (3) into the milk jar (7).
Place the milk jar (7) into the jar holder (9). Insert the mains plug into the wall socket. Press the AUTO CLEAN button (2). The AUTO CLEAN button (2) flashes blue. The appliance starts the automatic cleaning function.
If the process is completed, the appliance will go to stand-by mode. The HEAT/FROTH button (1) lights red. The AUTO CLEAN button (2) lights blue.
Remove the mains plug from the wall socket.

Electrical safety
- Before use, always check that the mains voltage is the same as the voltage on the rating plate of the appliance.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Connect the appliance to an earthed wall • socket. If necessary, use an earthed extension cable of a suitable diameter (at least 3 x 1 mm ^4 ).
Make sure that water cannot enter the contact plugs of the mains cable and the extension cable.

Beware of hot parts. The surfaces marked with a caution symbol for hot surfaces are liable to become hot during use. The accessible surfaces can become hot when the appliance is operating.
The outer surface can become hot when the appliance is operating.
Keep your hands away from the moving parts. Keep spatulas and other kitchen utensils away from the moving parts.
Store the appliance in a dry place when • not in use. Make sure that children do not have access to stored appliances.
U.K. Wiring instructions
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following code:
BLUE NEUTRAL
BROWN
LIVE
GREEN/YELLOW
EARTH
As the colours of the wire in the mains lead of this appliance may not correspond with the colour markings identifying the terminals on your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire which is coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter N or coloured black.
The wire which is coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter L or coloured red.
The wire which is coloured GREEN/YELLOW must be connected to the terminal which is marked with the letter E or ( ± ) and is coloured GREEN or GREEN/YELLOW.
If a 13Amp (BS1363) plug is used, a 13Amp (BS1362) fuse must be fitted, or if any other type of plug is used, a 13Amp fuse must be fitted, either in the plug or adaptor, or on the distribution board.
