Insert the plug into the socket and ensure that the red ALARMand green POWER indicator lights illuminate (theTEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT knob must not be on ). 2. Turn the TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT knob to the “Super”position: the yellow SUPER FREEZE indicator light willilluminate.3. When the red indicator light switches off, turn theTEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT knob to a medium position. The freezer is now ready to be used. Using the freezer to its full potential • Use the FREEZER OPERATION knob to adjust thetemperature (see Description).• Do not re-freeze food that is defrosting or that has alreadybeen defrosted. These foods must be cooked and eaten(within 24 hours).• Fresh food that needs to be frozen must not come into contactwith food that has already been defrosted. Fresh food must bestored in the top FREEZER and STORAGE compartmentwhere the temperature drops below -18°C and guaranteesrapid freezing.• Do not place glass bottles which contain liquids, and which arecorked or hermetically sealed in the freezer because they couldbreak.• The maximum quantity of food that may be frozen each day isindicated on the data plate, which is located inside the freezer (forexample: 4 kg per 24 hours).• In order to obtain a greater amount of space in the freezercompartment, you may remove the bins (except the lowest bin)and place the food directly onto the evaporator plates.• To freeze food (if the freezer is already in operation):- For small quantities measuring less than half of the valueindicated on the data plate, turn the TEMPERATUREADJUSTMENT knob to the SUPER (rapid freezing) position(the corresponding yellow indicator light will illuminate), placethe food inside and close the door. After 24 hours, once thefreezing process is complete, turn the knob back to its normaloperating position.- For large quantities measuring over half of the maximumvalue indicated on the data plate, turn the TEMPERATUREADJUSTMENT knob to the SUPER position 24 hours beforeplacing the food you wish to freeze inside. After another 24hours, once the freezing process is complete, turn the knobback to its normal operating position.! Do not open the door during freezing.! If there is a power cut or malfunction, do not open the freezerdoor. This will help maintain the temperature inside the freezer, ensuring that foods are conserved for at least 9 -14 hours.! Warning Indicator Light. When this red warning light comes onfor a prolonged period of time, it means that the freezer is notfunctioning properly and the temperature is rising too much. (Callyour Service Centre). This warning light might come on for a brief period when:a) the door is left open for an extended period of time (when thefreezer is being loaded or unloaded).b) the TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT knob is turned to the“Super” setting. In these two cases, the fact that the warning light comes on doesnot indicate that the freezer is malfunctioning or there is a defect. Ice

3 ice tray*The fact that they are situated on the top part of the freezerdrawers ensures greater cleanliness: the ice no longer comesinto contact with the food placed inside the freezer compartment;furthermore, the dripping of the water during filling is avoided (a lid tocover up the hole after filling with water is also provided).1. Pull out the tray by pushing it up. Check that the tray is ompletelyempty and fill it with water through the opening provided.2. Take care not to exceed the level indicated (MAX WATERLEVEL). Excess water prevents the ice cubes from dispensing(if this happens, wait for the ice to melt and empty the tray).GB

21 3. Turn the tray 90°: due to the connected compartments eachmould fills with water ( see diagram

4. Close the opening with the lid provided and put the tray back, placing the top part in the corresponding housing andallowing it to drop in again.5. If circulationis impeded, the compressor will work continuously.• Do not place hot food directly into the refrigerator. The internaltemperature will increase and force the compressor to workharder and will consume more energy.• Defrost the appliance if ice forms ( see Maintenance ). A thicklayer of ice makes cold transference to food products moredifficult and results in increased energy consumption.• Regularly check the door seals and wipe clean to ensure theyare free of debris and to prevent cold air from escaping ( see
