DANGER To reduce the risk of electric shock: 1 Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning. 2 Do not use an extension cord with this appliance. 3 Unplug the charging case before cleaning. 4 Do not reach for a charging case that has fallen into water. Unplug immediately. 5 Do not place or store the charging case where it can fall or be pulled into a bathtub, sink or toilet. Do not place the charging case in or drop into water or other liquid. 6 The massagers are intended for external use only. Do not use the massagers for penetration. ENGLISH 713 Charge, store and use the appliance at a temperature between 5°C/40°F and 35°C/95°F. 14 Do not place anything on the charging case other than the massagers. 15 The massagers are water-resistant and can be used in the shower or tub. Do not submerge the massagers in water or any other liquid for more than one hour. 16 If the massagers produce an abnormal sound, turn the massagers off and do not use them.

IMPORTANT: To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). This plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician to install the proper outlet. Do not change the plug in any way. IMPORTANT: The power plug contains a transformer. Do not cut off the power plug to replace it with another plug, as this will cause a hazardous situation. ENGLISH84 Do not massage any single area for more than 15 minutes. 5 These massagers are not intended as medical appliances. 6 To reduce the risk of spreading sexually transmitted diseases and infections, put a condom around the massagers when they are in contact with intimate areas. Change the condom when you move the massagers to another body part. 7 If you want to use the massagers in combination with a lubricant or massage oil, only use a water-based or silicone-based type. Do not use scented and/or alcohol-based lubricants or massage oils, as they may cause damage. 8 Always clean the massagers after each use to reduce the risk of infections (see chapter ‘Cleaning’). 9 Do not expose the massagers and its charging case to direct sunlight or UV light (such as a tanning appliance) for a long period of time and never expose it to extreme heat. 10 Be careful not to drop the massager. If dropped, or damaged in any way, discontinue using the massager. The charging case may interfere with radio- controlled clocks. Keep the charging case away from such clocks. Thermal cut-off For your safety, these Philips massagers are equipped with a thermal cut-off, which switches off the appliance automatically if overheating occurs. When the thermal cut-off has been activated, the light ring ashes repeatedly. Let the appliance cool down to room temperature before you continue using them. The massagers and the charging case become warm during charging. Never cover the charging case with anything (e.g. a towel or clothing) during charging. Note: When you unpack the massagers, the battery usually contains enough energy for a ‘quickie’. In some cases, however, the battery may be empty due to environmental conditions. ENGLISH10It takes about 4 hours to fully charge the massagers. A full charge gives you and your partner up to 5 hours to explore each other. The actual operating time may vary over time, depending on the selected vibration mode and speed. Charge the massagers when the light ring starts ashing slowly to indicate that the battery is almost empty. 1 Make sure that all parts (massagers and charging case) are dry. 2 Insert the small plug into the charging case and put the adaptor in the wall socket. 3 Open the lid of the charging case. 4 Place the massagers in the charging case. The female massager only ts properly in the charging case with the buttons facing up. The male massager only ts properly in the charging case with the buttons facing down. The massagers switch off automatically when you place them in the charging case and close the lid. Note: The charging case does not work when the massagers are placed incorrectly or when the lid is open. Note: You can also charge one massager at a time. 5 Close the lid of the charging case. Note: The charging case does not work if the lid is open. The charging light on the charging case startsashingtoindicatethatthemassagersare being charged. Note: When you charge the massagers for the rst time or after a long period of non-use, it may take a

EnglisH 11few minutes before the charging light starts ashing. This is normal. Note: The massagers may produce a smell the rst few times you charge them. This is normal. When the massagers are fully charged, the charging light goes out. Using the appliance Note: The massager shown in the gures is the female massager. The male massager has the same buttons and functionalities. Use this appliance for its intended household use as described in this manual. Thoroughlycleanthemassagersbeforerstuse, after every use and when you use them on another body area, to reduce the risk of infection (see chapter ‘Cleaning’). 1 Press any button to switch on the massager. Note: If the massager has not been used for more than 7 days, you can only switch it on by pressing the + button. The light ring goes on. The massager starts operating in the default mode (mode 1) and at the default vibration speed. Tip: You can adjust the speed and select a mode once you have familiarized yourself with the options available. 2 Press the mode selection button to adjust the vibration to your own preference. The massager has 4 vibration modes:

ENGLISH121 Glow – the massager vibrates in a steady, continuous way 2 Wave – a slow, relaxing pattern of pulses that rises and falls in intensity 3 Heart beat – a steady pulse, like a rapidly beating heart 4 Thrill – a more intense, exciting pattern of pulses that rise and fall in intensity 3 Press the increase or decrease button one or more times to adjust the vibration speed to your own preference. The massager has 5 speed levels. 4 You can hold the massager in different ways. Experimenttondthemostcomfortableway to use the massager. Tip: For suggestions, consult the enclosed welcome booklet. Tip: You can also use the massagers in combination with a water-based or silicone-based lubricant or massage oil. Do not use scented and/or alcohol-based lubricants or massage oils, as they may cause damage. Tip: You can also use the massagers in the shower or in the bath. Do not immerse the massagers for more than one hour. 5 To switch off the massager, press and hold the mode selection button or the decrease button. Travel lock It is possible to lock the massager, for example if you are going to travel. The travel lock prevents the massager from being switched on by accident. 1 Switch off the massager. ENGLISH 132 Simultaneously press the increase button and the mode selection button to activate the travel lock. Thelightringashesoncetoindicatethatthe massager is locked. 3 To deactivate the travel lock, press the increase button and the mode selection button simultaneously again. Thelightringashesoncetoindicatethatthe massager is unlocked. Note: When you place the locked massager in the plugged-in charging case and close the lid, the travel lock is automatically deactivated. Note: Always store the massagers in their appropriate cavity in the charging case. Cleaning Thoroughlycleanthemassagersbeforerst use, after every use and when you use them on another body area, to reduce the risk of infection. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents, chemical substances or alcohol-based disinfectants to prevent damage to the massagers. Do not clean the massagers with materials or tools that could cause damage, e.g. metal or sharp kitchen utensils or scouring pads. Never immerse the charging case in water or any other liquid, or rinse it under the tap. The massagers and charging case are not dishwasher-safe.

ENGLISH141 Switch off the massagers and unplug the charging case. 2 Clean the massagers with a moist cloth soaked in lukewarm water with mild anti-bacterial soap and rinse them under the tap. Dry the massagers thoroughly after cleaning them. Tip: Use a non-alcohol based disinfectant to reduce the risk of infections. Do not immerse the massagers in water for more than one hour. 3 Clean the charging case with a moist cloth and dry it properly. This appliance has no user-serviceable parts. Storage If the massagers will not be used for an extended period of time, remove cord from outlet, place massagers in the charging case and store in a safe, dry location where it will not be crushed, banged or subject to damage. Do not wrap the cord around the massagers or charging case when storing. 1 Switch off the massagers and unplug the charging case from the outlet. 2 Make sure massagers are clean before storing. (See chapter ‘Cleaning’). 3 Put the massagers in the charging case in a safe, dry place. The female massager only ts properly in the charging case with the buttons facing up. The male massager only ts properly in the charging case with the buttons facing down.

ENGLISH 15Battery removal These Philips massagers contain rechargeable Lithium-ion batteries, which must be disposed of properly. Full Two-Year Warranty Philips Electronics North America Corporation (USA) and Philips Electronics Ltd (Canada) warrant each new Philips product, model HF8440 against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase, and agree to repair or replace any defective product without charge. IMPORTANT: This warranty does not cover damage resulting from accident, misuse or abuse, lack of reasonable care, or the afxing of any attachment not provided with the product.
