For a 400 V 2N triphase hook-up, if your hobmalfunctions, check that the neutral conduc-tor is properly connected. These hobs must be connected to the powergrid via an electrical outlet that complies withEIC publication 60083 or an all-pole cut-offdevice that complies with installation regula-tions in effect. When power is first supplied to your hob, orafter an extended power outage, an indicatorlight will appear on the control panel. It auto-matically disappears after approximately 30seconds, or as soon as any touch control onthe control panel is pressed. This display isnormal and, if needed, serves as an indicationto the after-sales service staff. In all cases, theuser of the hob should disregard it. HOOK-UP
Tip To check the suitability of your cook-ware:Place the vessel on a cooking zone atpower level 4.If the display remains on, your cookware iscompatible. If the display flashes, your cookware cannotbe used with induction cooking. You can also use a magnet to test the cook-ware.If a magnet "sticks" to the bottom of thecookware, it is compatible with induction. •
WHICH COOKING ZONE SHOULD YOU USE BASED ON YOUR COOKWARE?
COOKWARE FOR INDUCTION •• The induction principle The principle of induction is based on amagnetic phenomenon. When you place your cookware on a cookingzone and you turn it on, the electronic boardsin your cooking hob produce "induced" cur-rents in the bottom of the cookware and ins-tantly raise its temperature. This heat is thentransferred to the food, which is simmered orseared depending on your settings.•• Cookware Most cookware is compatible with induction.Only glass, terra cotta, aluminium without aspecial finish on the bottom, copper andsome non-magnetic stainless steels do notwork with induction cooking. We recommend that you select cookwarewith a thick, flat bottom. The heat will be dis-tributed better and cooking will be more uni-form.
