Intended use
This appliance is intended primarily for non-commercial use on hard floors, wall-to-wall carpeting or upholstered furniture in closed rooms for suction of dry domestic dirt and dust. Any use other than previously stated is considered as improper use.

Safety instructions
Inspect the appliance for visible signs of damage before use. Do not use a damaged appliance.
This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with restricted physical, sensory or mental capabilities or with insufficient experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions on the use of the appliance from such a person.
Cleaning and caring for the appliance such as emptying and cleaning the dust container, and filter may not be performed by children who are not under supervision.
Store the appliance and accessory ■ parts out of the reach of children.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appli- ance.
Do not leave the appliance unattended during operation. Children under the age of 8 years may not touch the appliance or its connecting cable when it is switched on or when it is cooling down.
Repairs to the appliance must only be carried out by an authorised specialist or by the works customer service. This particularly applies to replacing a damaged connection cable. Unqualified repairs can lead to considerable danger for the user. They will also invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Defective parts may only be replaced with original spare parts. Only original spare parts guarantee that the safety requirements are met.
Only use spare parts from the manufacturer or spare parts that are specifically recommended by the manufacturer. The warranty/guarantee will otherwise be invalidated.
Do not use this charging station together with an external timer or a separate remote control system.

DANGER
Danger from electric current!
Do not use the charging station if the mains cable or mains plug is damaged.
Never open the housing of the hand vacuum cleaner, the charging station or the power adapter. Danger from electric current if live connections are touched and/or the electrical and mechanical configuration is changed.
Never immerse the motor unit ▶, the charging station or the power adapter in water or other fluids.
Pull the ▶ power adapter out of the mains socket,
if you are not using the charging - station,
if a malfunction occurs during operation,
before you clean the charging station.
Risk of suffocation!
Never play with packaging material. Risk of suffocation.

WARNING
Do not vacuum potentially inflammable or explosive substances, dust or gases and do not vacuum locations where such substances are stored.
Do not vacuum burning or smoldering objects such as cigarettes or apparently extinguished ash or coal.
Do not point the appliance near to the head when vacuuming.
Do not reach into the turbo brush.

WARNING
Keep hair, jewellery, loose clothing, fingers and other body parts away from the suction nozzle.
Before use, check that the appliance and/or attached accessories are not damaged.
When used for a longer period of time, the appliance can become hot. Allow the appliance to cool down before storing it or carrying out work on the appliance.
Switch off the vacuum cleaner before removing the dust container and the brushes.
Risk of fire, explosion and injury from improper handling of the rechargeable batteries!
Do not open or short-circuit the rechargeable batteries, throw them into fire or immerse in fluids.
▶Only charge the batteries with the charging station supplied. Use of the wrong charging appliance appliance can cause fire, explosion and acid burns.
▶ Battery fluid can leak out of a damaged rechargeable battery. If one of the rechargeable batteries is leaking, avoid contact of the battery fluid with the skin, eyes and mucous membranes. If there is contact with the battery fluid, rinse the affected area with plenty of clear water immediately and consult a doctor.
Vapour can escape from the rechargeable battery if it is damaged or not used properly. Provide fresh air and consult a doctor if you experience discomfort. Vapours can irritate the respiratory tract.
CAUTION
Do not operate the appliance without the filter or dust container.
Empty the dust container each time after vacuuming.
Do not vacuum fine dust such as ▶ toner, soot, ash or similar substances that could lead to blockages in the filter. This could lead to overheating of the appliance when operating for a longer period of time.
Do not leave the appliance outside and do not expose it to direct sunlight or humidity.
Do not store the appliance in the immediate vicinity of heat sources (such as fire, radiators, fan heaters or other heat radiating appliances).
Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents to clean the appliance.
Do not clean appliance parts in a dishwasher or washing appliance.
Never lift or move the charging station with the mains cable.
CAUTION
Check or clean the filter at regular intervals (at least every 3 to 6 months). A blocked filter decreases the vacuuming performance of the appliance. In addition, this could lead to overheating of the appliance when operating for a longer period of time. Do not insert wet or damp filters into the appliance.
Requirements for the place of use of the charging station
For safe and trouble-free operation of the appliance, the place of operation must satisfy the following requirements:
Place the charging station on a firm, ■ dry, flat, waterproof and heat-resistant surface.
Do not operate the charging station in a hot, wet or very humid environment.
■The mains socket must be easily accessible and allow fast disconnection in the event of an emergency.
Electrical connection of the charging station
For safe and trouble-free operation of the charging station, the following instructions must be observed for the electrical connection:
Before connecting the appliance, ■ compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. The data must correspond in order to avoid damage to the appliance. If in doubt, ask your electrical appliance retailer.
The mains socket must be protected by at least a 10 A automatic circuit breaker.
Ensure that the mains lead is undamaged and is not laid over sharp edges.
The mains cable must not be pulled ■ tightly, bent or come into contact with hot surfaces.
Route the cable to prevent risk of tripping.
The electrical safety of the appliance is only assured when it is connected to a properly installed protective earth (PE) conductor system. Connection to a mains socket without PE conductor is forbidden. If in doubt, the electrical system must be checked by a qualified electrician. The manufacturer assumes no liability for injury or damage caused by a missing or interrupted protective earth conductor.
Startup
Unpacking
Remove the appliance, all accessory parts and the user manual from the box.
Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the product and the accessories before using it for the first time.
NOTE!
Do not remove the rating plate or ▶ any warning signs on the appliance. If possible, keep the original packaging during the guarantee period in order to be able to pack the appliance properly in the event of a guarantee claim. Transport damage will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
Check the delivery contents
Check for visible signs of damage or missing items.
Report incomplete or damaged contents to your supplier immediately.

Preparations
Set up charging station
Place the charging station on an even, dry and non-slip surface.
Charging the battery
NOTE!
When charging the battery of the hand vacuum cleaner for the first time, make sure it is connected for at least 20 hours.
The charging process takes place ▶ only when the appliance is switched off.
Insert the power adapter of the charging station into the mains socket.
Put the hand vacuum cleaner into the charging station. Charging begins and the charging control indicator (14) lights up.
A new or completely discharged appliance requires at least 20 hours charging time.
Pull the power adapter out of the mains socket after charging
Operation and use
Using the appliance
Charge the battery as described in the section Charging the battery (page 21).
Insert the desired nozzle (9;10;11) into holder (12) of the dust container.
Switch on appliance
Push the ON/OFF switch (3) to the "ON" position to switch on the vacuum cleaner and the turbo brush.
Switching off the appliance
Push the ON/OFF switch (3) to the "OFF" position to switch off the vacuum cleaner and the turbo brush
Using the turbo brush
Switch off the appliance. ◆
Remove the turbo brush (11) from the holder (16) on the charging station.
Insert the turbo brush into the dust ◆ container (12).
NOTE!
Make sure that the turbo brush is ▶ completely inserted.

Empty dust container
To empty the dust container (8), proceed as follows:
Switch off the appliance. ◆
◆Press the unlocking button (4), hold it down and pull the dust container off the hand vacuum cleaner.
Empty the dust container.
Clean the dust container as described in the section Cleaning the dust container (page 23).
◆push the dust container back onto the motor unit until it engages.
Cleaning and care
Before beginning work, pay attention to the safety instructions in the Safety section (page 17)!
Cleaning the appliance
Pull the power adapter of the charging station out of the mains socket,
Use a slightly moist cloth to wipe off the housing of the hand vacuum cleaner, the charging station and the accessory parts.
Cleaning the dust container
Check the dust container (8) after emptying each time, however at least every 3 to 6 months. If you detect dirt, clean the dust container as follows:
Switch off the appliance. ◆
Press the unlocking button (4), hold it down and pull the dust container off the hand vacuum cleaner.
Empty the dust container (8). ◆
If necessary, replace the filter (6) as described in the section Replacing the filter (page 23).
Rinse the dust container with water ◆ and clean it with a slightly damp cloth.
Dry off the dust container. ◆
Push the dust container back onto the motor unit (5) until it engages.
Replacing the filter
The filter removes very fine particles before the air is blown out (5) of the appliance.
Check the filter (6) every 3 to 6 months. If dirt is detected during checking, replace the filter.
Proceed as follows:
Remove the dust container(8) from the appliance.
Remove the filter unit (6/7) from the dust container.
Remove the filter (6) from the filter ♦ housing (7).
◆ Insert the filter (6) into the filter housing (7).
Insert the filter unit (6;7) back into the dust container.
◆ush the dust container (8) back into the motor unit (5) until it engages.
Storage
If you do not intend to use the appliance for a longer period of time, clean it as described in the section Cleaning and care (page 23).
Store the appliance and all accessory parts at a dry, clean and frost-free location, which is protected against direct sunlight.
Put the hand vacuum cleaner into the charging station (2) and one of the nozzles into the socket (12) in the dust container.
Put the other two nozzles onto the holders (16) on both sides of the charging station.

Troubleshooting
The following table will help you locate and eliminate minor faults:
