DANGER
Danger from electric current!
Do not use the appliance, if the mains cable or mains plug are damaged.
On no account should the hous- ing of the unit be opened. Electric shock hazard if live connections are touched and/or the electrical and mechanical configuration is changed.
Never immerse the appliance or the mains plug in water or other liquids.
Do not use the appliance to draw in any liquids or wet dirt.
In wet areas, do not use any extension cables or multiple outlet boxes.
Danger of suffocation!
Packaging must never be used to play with. Risk of suffocation.
WARNING
Do not draw in any easily inflammable or explosive matters, dusts or gases, and do not vacuum clean locations, at which such matter is stored.
Do not draw in any burning or smoldering objects, such as cigarettes or ash or coal apparently having gone out.
When using the vacuum nozzle or the vacuum tube, do not get near the head.
Keep hair, jewellery, loose clothing, fingers and other parts of the body away from the suction opening and moving parts.

WARNING
Prior to vacuuming with the grip handle, please check whether the grip handle and/or the plugged-on accessories have not been damaged.
Do not allow the connecting cable to hang over edges (trip wire effect).
When used for a longer period of time, the appliance can turn hot. Allow the appliance to cool off before storing it or carrying out work on the appliance.
The mains socket has to be easily accessible to enable quick disconnection of the appliance from the electric circuit in the event of an emergency.
Prior to any work on the appliance and on the accessories, switch off the vacuum cleaner. Remove the mains plug from the socket in order to prevent an unexpected start-up of the appliance.
CAUTION
Before connecting the appliance, compare the connection data (voltage and frequency) on the rating plate with those of your mains power supply. The data has to correspond in order to avoid damage to the appliance. If in doubt, ask your electrical appliance retailer.
Never immerse the appliance or parts of the appliance into water or other liquids.
In case of longer operation, pull the connecting cable completely out of the appliance to prevent overheating. Do not squeeze the connecting cable (underneath doors, for example), and avoid passing over the connecting cable with the appliance frequently.
CAUTION
Do not pull the mains cable to remove the plug from the mains socket. Always carry the appliance at the grip handle, and not by the connecting cable.
Do not operate the appliance without motor protection filter or dust container.
After every vacuum cleaning, empty the dust container, at the latest, however, if the dust amount has reached the "MAX" mark.
Do not expose the connecting cable to heat or chemical liquids.
Do not pull the connecting lead across sharp edges or hot surfaces.
Make sure that the vacuum hose is not overstretched, squeezed or kinked. A damaged vacuum hose reduces the cleaning power of the appliance.
Do not draw up any heavy, hard or sharp-edged objects.
Do not draw in fine dust, such as toner, soot, ash or similar substances, which may clog the filter. This may cause a risk of overheating of the appliance when operated for a longer period of time.
Do sit or stand on the appliance and do not place any heavy objects on it.
Do not leave the appliance outside and do not expose it to direct sunlight or humidity. Do not store the appliance in the direct vicinity of heat sources (such as fire, radiators, fan heaters or other heat radiating appliances).
CAUTION
Check and/or clean the dual motor protection filter in regular intervals (at least every three to six months).
Clogged filters reduce the suction capacity of the appliance. Moreover, there is a risk of overheating of the appliance when operated for a longer period of time.
Allow moist or shampooed carpets and wall-to-wall carpeting to dry completely before vacuum cleaning.
Never immerse the appliance or parts of the appliance into water or other liquids.
Do not use any aggressive or scouring detergent.
Do not use any detergents for cleaning the HEPA and motor protection filters.
Do not clean any appliance parts in dishwascher or washing machine.
Do not fit any wet or moist filters in the appliance.

Make sure that the HEPA exhaust air filter, the dual motor protection filter and the cyclone unit are not soiled.
Allow the appliance to cool down for at least one hour.
Subsequently the appliance is ready for operation again.
Prior to first use
Unpacking
Remove the appliance, all accessory parts and the operating instructions from the box.
Remove all packaging materials and protective foils from the appliance and the accessories before using it for the first time.
NOTE
