How to set the time on the Blaupunkt BSD9000?
Press MEMO once to enter setting mode. Choose 24h or 12h format with ◀/▶, confirm with MEMO, then set hours and minutes in the same way.

How to use the sleep function?
In radio on mode, press SLEEP to choose the duration before automatic shutoff (120, 90, 60, 45, 30, 15, or 00 minutes). Select 00 to disable.
Which batteries to use and how to replace them?
Use 4 x 1.5 V type R20/UM1/D batteries. Open the battery compartment cover by sliding it, insert the batteries respecting polarity (+/-). Replace them if the battery icon appears or if the sound becomes weak/distorted.

POWER SUPPLY

This set operates on AC 230~50Hz or 4 x 1.5 V R20/UM1/"D" size batteries (not provided).

AC operation

Connect the detachable AC cord (included) to the AC socket on the rear of the unit. Insert the AC power cord into a convenient standard AC wall outlet.

Caution!

- The set must be disconnected from the mains to operate on batteries.

- When the set is connected to the mains, the power source automatically switches to AC.

Battery operation

  1. Remove the lid of the battery compartment by sliding it outward in the direction of the arrow.
  2. Insert 4 R20/UM1/"D" size batteries into the compartment. Make sure to match their polarities (+/-) to the markings inside the compartment.
  3. Put the lid back in place.

Note:

-The AC cord must be unplugged from both the socket on the unit and the power outlet for the unit to run on the batteries.

  • When the set is connected to the mains, the power source automatically switches to AC.
  • The appearance of battery icon “ □ on display indicates that the batteries are low. Replace them with new batteries.

Notes on batteries (not supplied)

- Do not mix different types of batteries or old batteries with new ones.

- Never recharge the batteries, apply heat to them or take them apart.

- Batteries should not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.

- Do not throw the batteries in fire!

·Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal.

The batteries need to be replaced when: The volume decreases, or sound is distorted during operation.

In order to avoid leakage, remove the batteries when the unit will not be used for a long period of time.

Please respect the environment. Before throwing any batteries away, consult your distributor who may be able to take them back for specific recycling.

Caution!

Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly replaced. Replace only with the same or equivalent type.

SETTING TIME

After the batteries are installed, the display will show "0:00".

  1. Press MEMO once to enter time setting mode. The display will show flashing "24 HOUR". Then press TUNING to select 24H or 12H time format.
  2. Press MEMO again to confirm and the hour digits flash.
  3. Press TUNING ◀◀▶ to set the hour value. Press MEMO to confirm and minute digits flash.
  4. Press TUNING ◀◀▶ to set the minute value and press MEMO again to confirm.

SETTING THE ALARM

Set alarm time

In Standby mode, long press ALARM button until "ALARM" indicator displays and hour digits flash on display.

  1. Press TUNING ◀◀▶ to adjust hour value. Then press ALARM to confirm and minute digits flash.
  2. Press TUNING ◀◀▶ to adjust the minute value and press ALARM to confirm.

Set wake up source

Press ALARM repeatedly to select the wake up source among “ ℜ ” and “ ℑ ”.

- Wake to the buzzer sound

- Wake to the radio

  1. Follow procedures in "Listen to the radio" to select your desired radio station and adjust the alarm sound level.

Checking Wake Time

Long press ALARM until you see a flashing wake time.

Silence the alarm momentarily

Press SNOOZE to turn the alarm off temporarily. The alarm will sound again when the snooze period is over.

Note: snooze time is 9 minutes.

Stop the alarm

Press ON/OFF: The alarm will stop, and will sound again 24 hours later.

Cancel Wake Seng

Press ALARM repeatedly until all alarm indicators disappear from the display.

SLEEP TO THE RADIO

In sleep mode, the radio will turn off automatically after a specified time.

In radio ON mode, press SLEEP to select the desired time before turn off among 120-90-60-45-30-15-00.

* Select "00" then the sleep function is OFF, SLEEP indicator disappears from display.

When in SLEEP mode, press SLEEP button to read the remaining sleep time.

SOUND PRESETS

When listening to the radio, press AUDIO button repeatedly to select desired sound preset: VOICE, MUSIC or NORMAL.

USING THE RADIO

Listen to the radio

  • Press ON/OFF.
  • Select the frequency band FM/MW/SW/LW by pressing BAND.
  • Select the required radio station with the buttons and
  • Adjust the volume with the VOLUME +/- buttons.
  • To switch the radio on or off, press ON/OFF.

To enhance radio reception ability:

FM/SW: Extend the telescopic antenna.

MW/LW: Rotate the unit horizontally for optimum reception.

Saving Preset Stations

  1. Tune to a station to be saved as a preset station (see "Listen to the radio").
  2. Press MEMO once and you will see "M" and flashing "01" on the display.
  3. Press Preset / to select a preset number.
  4. Press MEMO to save station as selected preset number.
  5. Repeat above steps to preset a maximum of 10 stations for each band respectively.

RDS FUNCTION

When FM station with RDS is received, the station name (PS) is displayed. Press RDS button repeatedly to display the program type (PTY), the radio text (RT), the frequency and the station name (PS).

AUXILIARY FUNCTION

  • Connect an audio device to the LINE IN jack, using an audio cable (not supplied).
  • Switch the appliance on.
  • Use the device's controls directly.

IMPORTANT!
