How to prepare a drink with the TASSIMO TAS1102VB?

Fill the water tank with cold water to the max mark, insert a T DISC into the holder, close the brewing system, place a cup on the cup support, then press the ∩° button. The machine reads the barcode and adjusts the water quantity automatically.

Why won't the machine start?

Check that the appliance is plugged in and the outlet works. If no LED lights up, press ∩° to exit standby mode. Ensure the water tank is properly seated and filled.

What to do if no drink comes out?

Check that the water tank is pushed in all the way until it stops. If there is air in the system, run a cleaning cycle with the service T DISC. If the float is stuck, descale the appliance and then move the float manually.

How to descale the appliance?

When the calc indicator lights up, run the descaling program following steps 44-58 in the manual. Use only Bosch descaling tablets (ref. TCZ6004) and avoid descaling agents based on phosphoric acid.

Why is the red light flashing?

A solid red light indicates the water tank is empty or not positioned correctly. If it flashes, the T DISC barcode is not recognized: clean the barcode reading window with a soft cloth, flatten the T DISC film, or use a new T DISC.

How to clean the machine?

Some parts (T DISC holder, piercing crown, drip grid, receptacle) are dishwasher safe at max 60°C. The water tank and service T DISC must be washed by hand. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Never immerse the appliance in water.

Can I use pods other than T DISC?

No, this appliance is designed exclusively for original Bosch T DISC. Using other pods may damage the machine and void the warranty.

What to do if the brewing system does not close?

Check that the piercing crown and T DISC holder are correctly locked in place (you should hear a click). Ensure the T DISC is positioned correctly with the printed side down and the tab in the notch. Clean the latch with a damp cloth.

How to reduce the drink volume?

Hold down the ∩° button during preparation until the desired quantity is reached. Release to stop. The adjustment is temporary; for a permanent adjustment, refer to the manual.

Improper cleaning and descaling or a delay in doing so may damage the appliance.

	Lock does not engage.	▶ Press the lock down until it audibly clicks into place.
Brewing unit cannot be opened.	Brewing unit is locked.	▶ Only open the brewing unit when the status display remains lit con- tinuously. 1. Unplug the mains plug. 2. Contact the TASSIMO careline if the brewing unit remains locked.
Water is dripping from the brewing unit.	T DISC is damaged, leaking or not correctly pierced.	▶ Use a new T DISC. ▶ Only use T DISCs once. 1.
