How to reverse the door opening direction?

It is recommended to entrust the door opening direction reversal to a professional from BOSCH after-sales service. Before any manipulation, disconnect the appliance and carefully place it on its back with a cushioning material. Follow the numbered steps in figure 1 of the manual.

What are the minimum clearances to be observed from a heat source?

Respect a clearance of 3 cm from an electric or gas stove, and 30 cm from an oil or coal heating appliance.

How to install two appliances side by side?

Place the refrigerator to the left of the freezer. The refrigerator slightly heats its right side wall, which prevents condensation between the appliances. Use the supplied spacers to ensure a minimum clearance.

How to adjust the feet to level the appliance?

Use the two screw feet at the front of the appliance. Adjust them using a fork wrench until the appliance is level. Check with a spirit level.

Where to place the appliance for optimal installation?

Install the appliance in a dry and ventilated room, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. The floor must be flat and resistant.

How to mount the wall spacers?

Degrease the bonding areas on the right side of the refrigerator with stain remover or alcohol. Stick the spacers at the four corners, 5 cm from the side edges.

Can I change the door handle?

Yes, the door handle is changeable. Follow the order of numbers indicated in the manual (figure 4) to disassemble and reassemble it.

What is the energy consumption of the appliance?

The consumption depends on the setting and installation. For optimal consumption, mount the supplied wall spacers. Consult the energy label for more details.

How to clean the appliance?

Clean the interior with a soft cloth and soapy water. Do not use abrasive products. Regularly clean the door seals to ensure good sealing.

What to do if the appliance is not level?

Check that the floor is flat. If necessary, compensate for unevenness by adjusting the two front screw feet using a fork wrench. Use a spirit level to check levelness.

Installation location

A dry, well ventilated room is suitable as an installation location. The installation location should not be exposed to direct sunlight and not placed near a heat source, e.g. a cooker, radiator, etc. If installation next to a heat source is unavoidable, use a suitable insulating plate or observe the following minimum distances from the heat source:

3 cm to electric or gas cookers.
30 cm to an oil or coal-fired cooker.

The floor of the installation location must not give way; if required, reinforce floor. If the floor is uneven, compensate with supports.

When installing the appliance, ensure that the door can be opened by 90^ .

When installing two appliances, ensure that the refrigerator is on the left and the freezer is on the right.

The right side panel of the refrigerator is heated slightly. This prevents condensation from forming between the appliances.

1. On the right side of the refrigerator, degrease the adhesive areas with petroleum ether or spirit.
2. Stick spacers in all four corners at a distance of 5cm from the side edges to ensure a minimum gap between the appliances.

Changing over the door hinges

(if required)

We recommend that you have the door hinges changed over by our customer service. You can find out the costs for changing over the door hinges from your appropriate customer service.

Warning

While changing over the door hinges, ensure that the appliance is not connected to the power supply. Pull out the mains plug beforehand. To prevent damaging the back of the appliance, place adequate padding underneath. Carefully place the appliance on its back.

If available:

Fit wall spacers to obtain the indicated energy absorption of the appliance.

A reduced wall gap will not restrict the function of the appliance. The energy absorption may then change slightly.

Aligning the appliance

Place the appliance in the designated location and align. The appliance must be level. If the floor is uneven, use the front height-adjustable feet. Adjust the height-adjustable feet with a wrench.

Note

The appliance must be upright. Please align it with a spirit level.
