Can I blend hot ingredients?

No, it is forbidden to blend hot ingredients. Let them cool to room temperature before placing them in the jar. Failure to comply may cause burns and damage the appliance.

What is the maximum usage time?

The maximum usage time is 60 seconds for the blender and mills. After each use, unplug the appliance and let it cool for 15 minutes.

How to clean the blender blades?

Always unplug the appliance before cleaning. The blades are very sharp, handle them with care. Wash the removable parts (jar, lid, blade assembly) with soapy water, then rinse and dry. Never immerse the motor unit in water.

Can I crush ice with this blender?

Yes, but only with the blender and in the presence of liquid. Never blend ice cubes alone. For the Blend-Xtract 2GO, do not blend frozen ingredients without liquid.

What to do if the appliance does not start?

Check that the jar is correctly mounted on the motor unit and that the lid is in place. Make sure the plug is connected. If the problem persists, contact Kenwood after-sales service.

Can I use the grating mill for nutmeg?

Yes, nutmeg should be blended only in the grating mill. Avoid blending hard spices like turmeric root in the blender, as they may damage the blades.

• Read these safety instructions carefully and retain for future reference.
• Remove all packaging and any labels.
• If the plug or cord is damaged it must, for safety reasons, be replaced by Kenwood or an authorised Kenwood repairer in order to avoid a hazard.
  DO NOT process hot ingredients.
  SCALD RISK: Hot ingredients must be allowed to cool to room temperature before placing in the goblet/bottle/mill or before blending.
• Do not operate your appliance for longer than the times specified below without a rest period. Processing continuously for longer periods can damage your appliance.

• Smoothie recipes - never blend frozen ingredients that have formed a solid mass during freezing, break

it up before adding to the goblet/ bottle.

• Do not process hard spices such as dried Turmeric root as they may damage the blade. Nutmeg should only be proceed in the grating mill.
• Do not use the blender as a storage container. Keep it empty before and after use.
• Always use the blender on a secure, dry level surface.
• Never place this appliance on or near a hot gas or electric burner or where it could touch a heated appliance.
• Misuse of your blender can result in injury.
• This appliance shall not be used by children. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children.
• Children shall not play with the appliance.
• Appliances can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and if they understand the hazards involved.
