How to use the temperature probe on an Electrolux EOF4P46X built-in oven?
Frequently Asked Questions - 16/01/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The temperature probe is a handy accessory for measuring the internal temperature of food while cooking with your Electrolux EOF4P46X built-in oven and its variants. Here’s how to use it effectively:

1. Inserting the probe

Insert the probe into the thickest part of the food, avoiding bones, fat, or the sides of the dish. This ensures an accurate measurement of the internal temperature.

2. Setting the target temperature

After plugging the probe into the dedicated socket of the oven, select the probe function on the control panel. Then set the desired target temperature for cooking your food.

3. Operation during cooking

The oven will monitor the temperature via the probe. Once the target temperature is reached, the oven may emit a sound signal to alert you and/or automatically stop cooking depending on the model.

4. Cleaning and maintenance

  • Clean the probe with a damp cloth after each use.
  • Avoid submerging the probe in water or placing it in the dishwasher to prevent damaging the electronic components.

Using the temperature probe allows you to achieve perfectly controlled cooking, ensuring delicious and perfectly cooked dishes.

What does error code F138 mean on an Electrolux built-in oven EOF4P46X and how can it be resolved?
Frequently Asked Questions - 16/01/2026
Response Notice-Facile

The code F138 does not appear in the official list of documented error codes for the Electrolux built-in oven EOF4P46X. However, according to the manufacturer's manual, when an error code is not listed in the troubleshooting table, it generally indicates an electronic anomaly or an internal malfunction requiring professional intervention.

First step - Restarting the oven: Start by performing a complete reset by cutting off the power supply. To do this, turn off the household fuse or unplug the oven for about 5 to 10 minutes to allow the electronic circuits to reset. Then, turn the fuse back on or plug the appliance back in.

Check after restarting: Turn on the oven and check if the error code F138 has disappeared. If the restart resolves the issue, it was probably a temporary anomaly in the electronic system. If the error reappears immediately, it indicates a more serious failure.

If the error persists: Before contacting customer service, check that all internal connection cables to the oven are not visibly damaged or loose. Also, ensure that the door closes properly and that the door lock functions normally. However, do not attempt to disassemble the appliance, as this could void the warranty.

If the code F138 reappears after restarting, it is recommended to immediately contact an authorized Electrolux service center or a qualified technician. This type of undocumented anomaly may indicate a temperature sensor defect, an electronic control board issue, or another internal failure requiring specialized diagnosis. Do not continue to use the oven until the issue is resolved, as this could worsen the failure or pose a safety risk.

ELECTROLUX EOF4P46X - EOF4P46BX - EOF4P46X - EOF4P46H - Energy saving - 1

The oven has features which help you save energy during everyday cooking.

Make sure that the oven door is closed when the oven operates. Do not open the oven door too often during cooking. Keep the door gasket clean and make sure it is well fixed in its position.

Use metal cookware to improve energy saving.

When possible, do not preheat the oven before cooking.

Keep breaks between baking as short as possible when you prepare a few dishes at one time.

Cooking with fan

When possible, use the cooking functions with fan to save energy.

Residual heat

The fan and lamp continue to operate. When you turn off the oven, the display shows the residual heat. You can use that heat to keep the food warm.

When the cooking duration is longer than 30min , reduce the oven temperature to minimum 3 - 10 min before the end of cooking. The residual heat inside the oven will continue to cook.

Use the residual heat to warm up other dishes.

Keep food warm

Choose the lowest possible temperature setting to use residual heat and keep a meal warm.

The residual heat indicator or temperature appears on the display.

Cooking with the lamp off

Turn off the lamp during cooking. Turn it on only when you need it.

Moist Fan Baking

Function designed to save energy during cooking.

When you use this function the lamp automatically turns off after 30 sec. You may turn on the lamp again but this action will reduce the expected energy savings.
