How to install the camera driver?

Insert the CD-ROM, then click on Utility Driver and follow the instructions. If the installation screen does not appear, go to Start > Run, type D:\SETUP.EXE (if D is your CD drive).

Why does the camera not work after connecting?

Make sure you have installed the driver before connecting the camera to the USB port. If the problem persists, uninstall the driver and software, then reinstall correctly.

How to take a photo with the camera?

In the Genius VideoCAM UI interface, click on the C icon (Take a photo) or use the physical Snapshot button on the camera.

How to use the digital zoom?

In Web Cam mode, use the J (Zoom In) and K (Zoom Out) icons. You can also adjust the image with the movement arrows (left, right, up, down) by clicking on L.

How to record a video?

Click on the D icon (Capture full motion image) to start recording in AVI format. To play a file, click on A.

How to configure the surveillance system?

Click on the G icon (Surveillance). You can set a recording duration. The camera detects motion and records automatically. In the absence of motion, it turns off after 4 seconds.

How to send a photo by email?

From the interface, click on the F icon (Send by email). Your default email client will open with the photo attached.

How to adjust exposure in bright environment?

Go to Camera Control > Control > Exposure and adjust the settings as needed.

How to use the camera with MSN Messenger?

Under Windows XP, open a conversation, click on the person's name, then on Start camera. The other person must accept. For the downloaded version, click on Webcam then Get a webcam.

What to do if the CD-ROM does not start the installation?

Open Start > Run, type D:\SETUP.EXE (replace D with your CD drive letter) and press Enter. The installation will start manually.

USER MANUAL VIDEOCAM SLIMCLIP GENUIS

Please install the driver first and then connect VideoCAM SlimClip to the USB port.

Please read the important notice before the installation.

1. Installing VideoCAM SlimClip software

a. Insert the VideoCAM SlimClip software CD into CD-ROM drive.
b. After few seconds, the setup screen will show the picture of VideoCAM SlimClip. Click the "Utility Driver" then simply follow the on-screen instructions.
c. Please remember to install DirectX of the CD-ROM.

Notice:

If the setup screen doesn't show the picture of VideoCAM SlimClip, please precede the following installation:

• Go to the taskbar and click Start then Execute.
• Type D : \SETUP.EXE , then click Enter key.

(Suppose your CD-ROM is in Drive D)

2. Connect the VideoCAM SlimClip to your computer.

Connect the VideoCAM SlimClip to the USB port as shown on the right drawing.

3. To get rid of driver installation, please go to the taskbar and follow "Start

4. You can install the recognize software for video conferencing or chat with your friends.

You can use snapshot button to capture still image or rotate the lens cover to adjust the focus.

• Make sure to install the USB driver before connecting the device otherwise unable to install properly. If you encounter problems, uninstall the driver and software then follow the proper installation.

If there's no movement, it will shut down automatically after four seconds or until there is new movement. It's a great security monitoring system and you can set the software so it works at times when you're not around.
