1. Please install the driver first and then connect Look 313

Media to the USB port.

2. Installing the Look 313 Media driver

Windows Environment a. Insert the Look 313 Media Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. b. TheAutorun screen will bring up the installation screen. Click on “Driver” then simply follow the on-screen instructions. c. Install “DirectX” from the CD. Notice: If the Autorun screen doesn't start, please follow these steps: e Click on “Start Menu”. © Type D] \SETUPEXE , then click “Enter” key. (Assume your CD-ROM is in Drive D) Mac Environment a. Insert the Look 313 Media Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. b. Double click on the CD-ROM drive. c. Click on the file folder of “Look 313 Media Driver OSX 1.0”. d. Click on “Look 313 Media Driver Install” then simply follow the on-screen instructions. e. Restart the computer Notice: e The Look 313 Media can work properly with any video chat software supported video feature and USB web camera. The iC hat can’t be supported because it only support the Apple’s web cameras or the IEEE 1394 web camera.

3. Insert the Look 313 Media’s USB cable to your desktop’s or

laptop's USB port. Please follow the instructions to connect the USB cable properly.

Meanwhile, this USB connector has the hub feature. So, you can connect the USB device to it as long as it is connected to the computer. Complete software and hardware installation. Mac OSX Environment: Please go to the HDD of the operation system “Application” “Look 313 Media” Click “Uninstall”, then follow the on-screen instructions to remove the driver. | Genius Application (Windows Only) You can use our software to capture the real-time image, record or execute the simply security function. To run the software, please go to the task bar and follow “Start” > Click “Program” Choose “Look 313 Media” > Click “Look 313 Media”. Or you may execute the software by simply clicking the shortcut of “Look 313 Media”. NOTE & After installing the driver of Look 313 Media, the system will automatically create a file (C:\WINDOWS\Album or C:\WINNT\AÏbum)to save the images you take using the Genius Application.

1. Description for the major icon

AS In the “camera control section”, you can personalize your camera settings for different circumstances.

(es EYES - You can flip the image horizontally or vertically by choosing “Image Mirror” or “Image Flip”. - When the light is not sufficient, you may click on “Low Light” to get a clear image. You can adjust different values for different circumstances and environment When you want a still image capture, you can drag the bar to select a resolution size you want. -VGA: 640 x 480; -SVGA: 800 x 600 -XGA: 1024 x 768 -SXGA1280 x 960 You may adjust values toward image appearance. Before adjusting values, you have to unclick “Auto” to unlock. -Press “Reset” to return to the manufacturer’s settings. -Press “Restore” to return to the previous settings. -Press “Save” to save the values you set up.

Select the correct frequency according to the country where you are using the web camera. (Before doing this, you will need to select “Indoor”.) -If your web camera is located in backlight position, you may click “Backlight compensation” to get a sharper image. -You can have a black-and-white photo effect by clicking on “B/W Mode”.

The effects can also be applied to the video chat software, like MSN Messenger. You can directly connect to this effect page from the web camera settings in the video chat software. Besides the 27 kinds of video effects/frames in section 1, you also can bring in your customized frame. Please note that, in the customized frame, you must have the color in Pantone 255 in the area, where you want your image show up. The area in Patone 255 is where the image is going to display. The frame size needs to be 640 x 480 pixels.

5.Security Monitoring System *e This function records any movements that appear in front of your monitor automatically. It can also record anytime until the HD is full. If there's no movement, it will shut down automatically after four seconds or otherwise it will be active when detecting new movement. It's a great security monitoring system at times when you're not around.

After installing the Genius application, you will find the icon on the right-hand side on the task bar. You can click on it to pop out the window as below to adjust the volume of the audio devices. Before using the volume adjustment function, please select the audio devices.

Speaker Volume You can adjust the speaker’s volume or the headset/earphone in this section. Mute: Select it to disable the voice. Volume: Scroll the bar to control the volume Balance: Scroll the bar to control the volume of the right and left speaker. 1. Installing the DDPlayC am Software

a. Insert the Look 313 Media Installation CD into the CD-ROM drive. b.The Autorun screen will bring up the installation screen. Click on “DDPlayCam” then simply follow the on-screen instructions. Once finished, DD ThemeParty , DD PlayCam @live and DD PrintCenter are ready to go.

2. Running DD ThemeParty Software

a. Connect the web camera to your computer b. Please go to the task bar and follow “Start” Click “Program” > Choose “DDPlayCam”— Click “DD ThemeParty”. Oryou may execute the software by simply clicking the shortcut of “DD ThemeParty” LC DD ThemeParty Introduction To run DD PlayCam DD Theme Party, you should set your camera resolution to 320*240 and also check for your position before the web camera. Please position your face around the center if possible. Please note that if your camera resolution is not in 320*240, the software will ask you to make the change. Please follow the on-screen instructions to change the resolution to 320*240.

Connect the web camera to your computer Load the instant messenger software For using the DD PlayCam @live with your instant messenger software, you need to go to the section of the camera setting in your instant messenger software. Whatever the web camera uses for the instant messenger, you have to change the device to “DDPlayCam”. The DD PlayCam @live then can work properly with the instant messenger software. Then you can start DD ThemeParty 2.0 and select one theme. When you press the button, the slash in the icon means data transmission under the disabled status, the stream from DD ThemeParty 2.0 will be sent to the virtual camera and then be sent to the instant messenger software. At this time, the altemative peer can see stream data you have transmitted in real time. DD PlayCam @live 2.0 allows peer-to-peer transmission. Only if both peers have installed DD ThemeParty 2.0 and DD PlayCam @live

4. Running DD PrintCenter

a. Connect the web camera into the computer b. Please go to the task bar and follow “Start” Click “Program” > Choose “DDPlayCam”— Click “DD PrintCenter”. Or you may execute the software by simply clicking the shortcut of “DD ThemeParty” l’on the right-hand side of the main frame # DD PrintCenter Introduction DD PrintCenter lets you easily print digital photos by using a variety of layout templates. Please note that as an indivisible part of DD PlayCam software, this function allows you only to print photos generated by DD PlayCam software and saved automatically in the DD PlayCam folder within My Pictures.

Step 1: Select Paper Size and Layout or Load Document DD PrintCenter provides you three standard paper sizes. They are A4, 4*6 and 3*5 inch styles. Each paper size contains three types of layout templates. First, you select a paper size and you can see three corresponding layout templates on the right part of the window. Each layout template shows you the actual size of a single photo and the number of photos a single paper can print, such as 24 mm*18 mm. Select the layout by directly clicking the template, and then click the Next button. Or click Load button to open an existing DD PrintCenter document.

Step 2: Choose and Load Photo You can see an empty layout template and thumbnail pictures that you captured and saved in the DD PlayCam folder. Roll over any pictures you want to print and drag it directly into an empty position you would like to place it in the template. Or click an empty position first and the frame of the + position is marked immediately, double click on the picture you want to print. You will see the : Le + picture you have selected appear = in that that position.

Step 3: A dd, Delete and Save If you want to print several copies from the same picture, you do not have to repeat the steps for dragging. You only need to select the target picture which you have already dragged into template and click the “+” button. The picture will duplicate at the next position automatically. One click, one duplication! If you want to delete the picture that you have already dragged into template, just select the target picture and click the - button. On the other hand, if you want to save the whole template with the selected pictures for printing next time or elsewhere, just click on the “Save” button. The whole template will be saved as a single JPEG file extension. In the save combo box, you can select another file extension called PCF to save the template layout you have edited as a DD PrintCenter document. For the next time, you can use the Load button to open the PCF file for further editing. You can also use Save as a function to save a file as the format you indicated.
