UHF WIRELESS SYSTEM COMPATIBILITY GUIDE
Table 2 provides a convenient overview of frequency-compatible systems in the 800.000 to 830.000 MHz band. Each of the primary groups contains multiple channels which are all compatible with one another. Contact the Shure Customer Service Department if you need additional information on frequency selection and system setup.
Up to 22 Shure UHF Wireless Systems can be operated simultaneously within the 800-830 MHz band if using the discontinued UHF MB versions, or a combination of MB and MK2 R2 versions. Up to 31 UHF MK2 systems can be operated simultaneously within the 800-830 MHz band.
Note: Combinations of Shure UHF transmitters and UHF MK2 receivers, and combinations of UHF MK2 transmitters and UHF receivers are NOT supposed to work together. Always use a transmitter–receiver combination of the same frequency version (R2 or MB).
Groups 1-9 MUST be chosen if the installation includes a pure setup of Shure UHF Wireless Systems (frequency version MB only) or a mixed setup of Shure UHF and Shure UHF MK2 Wireless Systems (frequency versions MB and R2)
Groups 1-9 CAN be chosen if the installation includes a pure setup of Shure UHF MK2 Wireless Systems (frequency version R2 only).
Groups 10-25 CAN ONLY be chosen if the installation includes a pure setup of Shure UHF MK2 Wireless Systems (frequency version R2 only).
FREQUENCY GROUP CONTENTS
Groups 1-9*
Group 1 complies with the German RegTP regulations for public users ("Nutzergruppe 4^ ). It can also be used in Sweden
Groups 2-8 are for fixed indoor installations ("Nutzergruppe 5") in Germany (TV Channels 62-63).
Group 9 is limited to frequencies between 800.100 MHz and 819.900 MHz. (Due to Danish regulations, these frequencies are centered on 0.1 MHz frequencies).
Groups 10-25*
Groups 10-12 provide the maximum number of compatible frequencies between 800 and 830 MHz.
Groups 13-15 complies with the new German RegTP regulations for public users ("Nutzergruppe 4") in the new legal frequency range up to 814 MHz.
Group 16 complies with the new German RegTP regulations for users of "Nutzergruppe 3A" in the new legal frequency range up to 814 MHz (TV Channels 62-63).
Group 17 complies with the new German RegTP regulations for users of "Nutzergruppe 3B" in the new legal frequency range up to 814 MHz (TV Channels 62-63).
Group 18 complies with the new German RegTP regulations for users of "Nutzergruppe 3C" in the new legal frequency range up to 814 MHz (TV Channels 62-63).
Group 19 complies with the new German RegTP regulations for users of "Nutzergruppe 3D" in the new legal frequency range up to 814 MHz (TV Channels 62-63).
Group 20 complies with the new German RegTP regulations for broadcast users of "Nutzergruppe 2" in the new legal frequency range up to 814 MHz (TV Channels 62-63).
Group 21 complies with the new German RegTP regulations for broadcast users of "Nutzergruppe 1" in the new legal frequency range up to 814 MHz (TV Channels 62-63).
Groups 22 and 23 are preferred for use in Sweden and provide the maximum number of compatible frequencies between 800 and 814 MHz.
Groups 24 and 25 are preferred for use in the Netherlands and provide the maximum number of compatible frequencies between 806 and 814 MHz (European TV channel 63).
*Please contact your national frequency authority to get information on the available legal frequencies for your area and legal use of the equipment.
