IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
- Children can only use the microwave when supervised by an adult due to the high temperatures generated.
WARNING:
1) If the door or the door joints are damaged, the microwave cannot be used until it has been repaired by an Authorised Technical Service.
2) It is dangerous for anybody who does not have the suitable knowledge to perform any repair work involving taking off the cover offering protection against the microwave's electricity.
3) Liquids and other food must not be heated in sealed containers as they could explode.
Only use utensils suitable for use with microwaves.
- The microwave must have sufficient airflow. Leave 10cm of space at the back, 15cm on each side and 30cm above the microwave. Do not remove the microwave's rubber feet, or block its air inlets.
- When heating food in plastic or paper containers, keep an eye on the microwave as combustion may occur.
If you see smoke, switch the unit off or unplug it and keep the microwave's door closed to smother any flames.
Heating drinks in the microwave may cause a delayed eruptive boiling and the container must therefore be handled with care.
The contents of food containers and food jars for babies must shook, and the temperature checked before eating to prevent burns.
- Eggs with their shell and whole boiled eggs must not be heated in the microwave as they could explode, even after having heated them in the microwave.
- The microwave must be cleaned regularly and any food remains must be removed.
- If the microwave is not kept clean, the surface could become damaged, negatively affecting the appliance's useful life and cause a dangerous situation.
- The temperature of the accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
- If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or its authorised technical service or by a qualified engineer to prevent dangerous situations.
This appliance is not designed to be used by people (including children) with physical, sensory or mental disabilities or who have no experience or knowledge, except when supervised or have been given instructions on the use of the appliance by the person looking after them. Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS. CAREFULLY READ AND KEEP FOR FUTURE USE.
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERAL USE
Below, like for any domestic appliance, we will list simple rules and instructions to guarantee the perfect performance of the microwave:
- When you use the microwave, keep the glass plate and the revolving accessory in place.
- Do not use the microwave for any other purpose other than preparing food, such as for example drying clothes, paper or any other item that is not food, nor for sterilising anything.
- Do not turn the microwave on when it is empty. It could damage it.
- Do not use the inside of the microwave to keep papers, cookery books, etc.
- Do not cook any food covered by a membrane, like egg yolks, potatoes, chicken livers, etc., without pricking them with a fork/knife.
- Do not introduce any object into the outer casing's openings.
-
Do not remove any of the microwave's parts, like the rubber feet, the couplings, screws, etc.
-
Do not cook food directly on the glass plate. Put the food into a suitable cooking utensil before putting it into the microwave.
- Kitchen items which must not be used in the microwave:
- Containers or plates with metal/golden handles.
- Objects with metal/golden edges.
- Elements covered with paper or plastic bags.
- Plates containing metals capable of absorbing the microwave's energy. This could break the plates and slow down the cooking speed.
- Do not cook in a container with a small opening, like a bottle or cruet as they may explode if heated in a microwave.
- Do not use conventional thermometers for meat or desserts.
-
There are thermometers specifically designed for microwave cooking. These elements can be used.
-
Microwave utensils must always be used following the manufacturers' instructions.
- Do not try to fry food in this microwave.
- Remember that a microwave only heat the liquid content of a container and not the container itself. Therefore, although the edge of a container is not hot to touch when you take it out of the microwave, remember that the food/ liquid inside it will give off the same amount of steam and/or spatters as if it had been heated in another way.
- Always check the temperature of the cooked food, particularly when heating or cooking food/liquid for babies. We recommend not eating food/drinks directly taken out of the microwave, without leaving them to stand for a few minutes, and stirring them to distribute the heat evenly.
- Food with a mixture of fat and water, for example, stock, must be left from 30-60 seconds in the microwave after turning it off. In this way the mixture is left to settle and prevents it becoming frothy when putting a spoon into it, or adding a stock cube.
- When preparing/cooking food/liquids, remember that some food, such as puddings, jams or purees heat very quickly. When heating or cooking food with a high fat or sugar content, do not use plastic containers.
- The cooking utensils can heat up due to the temperature transferred by the heated food. You may have to use oven gloves to move the utensil.
-
To reduce the risk of fire inside the microwave:
-
Do not overcook the food. Keep a careful eye on the microwave when putting paper, plastic or any other inflammable materials inside the microwave to facilitate the cooking.
- If the materials inside the microwave start to burn, keep the door closed, turn the microwave off and unplug it, or switch off the general switch box.
BEFORE CALLING THE AUTHORISED TECHNICAL SERVICE
- If the microwave does not work:
a) Make sure that the microwave is safely connected to the electricity socket. If not, unplug it, wait for 10 seconds and plug it in again safely.
b) Check if there are any blown fuses or if a circuit breaker has gone off. If it looks like these elements are working properly, check the electricity socket with another appliance.
- If the microwave's electricity does not work:
a) Check if the timer has been adjusted.
b) Check if the door has been closed correctly and the safety lockouts properly shut. On the contrary the microwave's electricity will not be activated.
If none of the previous actions solves the situation, contact the nearest authorised technical service.
Note: The appliance can only be used in the home for heating food and drinks with electromagnetic energy and can only be used indoors.
RADIO INTERFERENCES
The microwave can cause interferences in your radio, TV or similar equipment. When there are interferences, they can be eliminated or reduced with the following procedures.
a. Clean the door and the seal surface of the microwave.
b. Put the radio, TV, etc. as far away from the microwave as possible.
c. Use a suitable antenna for your radio, TV, etc. to obtain a strong signal reception.
USAGE INSTRUCTIONS
- To adjust the cooking programme, put the food/liquid container on the revolving glass plate and close the microwave's door.
- Turn the time/weight dial to the required position.
Note: The microwave will start to cook when the timer has been activated.
If you require less than 5 minutes, position the time/weight dial after 5 minutes and put it back to the required time.
ALWAYS POSITION THE TIME/WEIGHT DIAL AT ZERO when you take the food out of the microwave even though the time has not finished.
MICROWAVE STOP: Turn the time/weight dial to the zero position. If you open the door during the cooking process, the microwave will stop automatically, and the cooking will start again after closing the door. If you do not need any more cooking time, turn the time/weight dial to zero before closing the door.
INSTALLATION
- Make sure you remove all the packaging from inside the microwave.
-
Check the microwave after unpacking it for any visible damages, such as:
-
Misaligned door.
- Damaged door.
- Dents or holes in the door's window.
- Dents inside the oven.
-
If you see any of these problems, DO NOT use the microwave.
-
This microwave weighs 10kg and must be put on a flat surface strong enough to withstand its weight.
- The microwave must be positioned as far away as possible from any hot temperature or steam sources.
- DO NOT put anything on top of the microwave.
- DO NOT take the axle that rotates the plate out.
- The electricity socket must be near to the electricity cable.
- This microwave requires 1.1kVA to operate.
Precaution: this microwave is internally protected with an 8 A, 250 V CA fuse.
Warning: This appliance must be connected to an earth wire.
MICROWAVE CARE AND CLEANING
- Turn the microwave off and unplug it before cleaning it.
- Keep the inside of the microwave clean. When remains of food and drinks are stuck to the microwave's sides, clean them with a damp cloth. The use of aggressive or abrasive detergents is not recommended.
- The outer surface of the microwave must be cleaned with a damp cloth. To avoid damages in the parts inside the microwave, water must not get into the ventilation inlets.
- To keep the door and its joints clean, use a soft and damp cloth.
- Make sure that the control panel does not get wet. Clean it with a soft and damp cloth. Do not use detergents, abrasive products or sprays on the control panel.
- If steam builds up inside or around the microwave's door, clean it with a soft cloth. This may happen with the microwave is used in high humidity conditions, although this does not at all imply that the unit is not working properly.
- It is necessary to remove the glass plate to clean it. Clean the plate with warm water or in the dishwasher.
- The glass plate's revolving accessory and the bottom of the inside of the oven must be cleaned regularly to prevent excessive noise. You only have to clean the lower surface of the microwave with soft detergent, water or glass cleaner and dry it. The revolving accessory can be cleaned with warm water or in the dishwasher. The cooking steam produced during the repeated use of the appliance does not affect the inner surface or the revolving accessories wheels.
When removing the revolving accessory from the bottom of the inside of the oven, make sure to put it back into its correct position. - Eliminate the smells from the microwave using a cup of water with lemon juice and peel in a deep bowl suitable for microwaves. Heat it for 5 minutes, clean and dry with a soft cloth.
- When the microwave's bulb needs to be replaced, contact the Authorised Technical Service.
- Keep the inner joints of the glass fixing and surrounding areas always clean with a damp cloth.
