How to set the time on my Swatch DIAPHANE watch?

Pull the crown to position C (fully out). Turn it clockwise or counterclockwise to position the hands. Push the crown back to position A.

How to set the date?

Pull the crown to position B (one click). Turn it counterclockwise until the desired date. Push the crown back to position A. Avoid setting the date between 8 PM and 4 AM to avoid damaging the mechanism.

How to use the chronograph?

Press the upper pusher to start. Press again to stop the measurement. Use the lower pusher to reset. For a split time, press the lower pusher during timing, then again to resume.

How to use the tachymeter function?

Start the chronograph at the beginning of a distance of 100 or 1000 meters. Stop at the end. The 60-second counter hand indicates the speed on the tachymeter scale (in km/h).

How to adjust the chronograph after a battery change?

Pull the crown to position B. Press the upper pusher to bring the 1/10th second hand to 12 o'clock, then the lower pusher for the seconds. Then pull the crown to position C and press the upper pusher for the minute counter. Push the crown back to position A.

How to use the rotating bezel for diving?

Align the bezel marker with the minute hand at the start time. The elapsed time is read on the bezel facing the minute hand. This function is for water-resistant watches only.

How to read Swatch Internet Time?

Turn the Navigator bezel to align your time zone (according to the map) at 12 o'clock. Read the number on the bezel facing the hour hand, adding the small digits facing the minute hand. Example: @500.

Using the adjustment ring

For setting the start time and duration of an activity. Line up the marker on the adjustment ring with the minute hand. Timing starts at the time indicated by the marker. The elapsed time is indicated by the minute hand pointing the number on the adjustment ring.

The previous text only applies to the adjustment ring for the dive function. Please refer to the enclosure for other functions such as the internet navigator (or similar).

Internet Navigator Bezel

Swatch Internet Time is a universal time, all over the world, without time zones or geographic borders.

The current 24 hours are divided into 1000 Swatch beats. @000 Swatch Internet Time represents midnight (CET-wintertime) in Biel, Switzerland, the home of Swatch. If you live outside of Central European Time (CET-wintertime) refer to the «time zone map» and turn the Navigator Bezel until your indicated time zone number is at the 12 o'clock position. Read the Swatch Internet Time on the bezel that faces the hour hand. (If it is between two numbers, read the lesser numbers).

Note the small numbers on the dial facing the minute hand and add them to the numbers facing the hour hand.
