  • All safety instructions must be closely followed when using the appliance.
  • Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the device rating label and that the plug is earthed.
  • To reduce the risk of electric shock, this appliance has been equipped with a grounded plug. If the plug does not fit fully into the wall outlet, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way, nor use a power adapter.
  • Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid. Do not expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
  • Never immerse the appliance in water. Do not touch the water!
  • Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be repaired by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service in order to avoid any type of danger.
  • If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by a special cable or assembly to be supplied by the manufacturer or its after-sales service.
  • The electric grill may only be used with the appropriate mobile plug socket.
  • Do not use the appliance if its cord, plug, or housing are damaged, nor after it malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any way.

  • It is recommended that the room the appliance is located in is equipped with an extractor fan or is ventilated. Do not use outdoors.
  • This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
  • Do not use any accessory that has not been recommended by Cecotec, as they might cause injuries or damage.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and people with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.

Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.

  • Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the appliance. Close supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by or near children.
  • Keep this appliance and its power cable out of reach of children under the age of 8.
  • Place the appliance on a dry, stable, flat, heat-resistant surface. Position the appliance in such a way to avoid spillage of hot liquids. Do not place the appliance near heat sources, places with high humidity levels, or combustible materials.
  • Use this appliance for the purposes described in this manual. Any other use is not recommended by Cecotec and may adversely affect the appliance's lifespan. Incorrect or improper use can damage the appliance and be dangerous for the user.
  • The appliance should not be used in potentially dangerous locations, such as flammable, explosive, chemical-laden, or wet atmospheres.
  • Do not place the appliance against the wall. Leave a safety distance of 10 cm at the back of the appliance and 10 cm on each side. Do not place any object on top of the appliance when in use.
  • Do not use the appliance under the following circumstances:

  • On or near a gas or electric hob, in heated ovens, or near open flames.

  • On soft surfaces (such as carpets) or where it may tip over during use.
  • Outdoors or in areas with high humidity levels.
    o Near or below flammable materials (such as curtains, cloths, wall hangings, tea towels, etc.) or under wall cabinets.

  • To ensure the correct operation of the device, cleaning and maintenance tasks must be carried out according to this instruction manual.

  • Cleaning and maintenance tasks must not be carried out by children.
  • Store the appliance and its instruction manual in a safe and dry place when not in use.
  • No liability is accepted for any eventual damage or personal injuries derived from misuse or non-compliance with this instruction manual.

INSTRUCTIONS DE SÉCURITÉ

  • This appliance includes a safety package to protect it during transport. Unpack the appliance and keep the original packaging and materials in a safe place. It will help prevent any damage if the product needs to be transported in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the Official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.
  • Clean the cooking grill with a wet sponge or cloth.
  • Dry it with a cloth or paper towel.
  • For optimal results, spray or wipe the grill with some oil.

Please note

You may notice a slight burning smell or smoke when using the grill for the first time, caused by the excess of lubricants from the manufacturing process. This does not affect the safety of the appliance.

3. OPERATION

  1. Before using the electric grill, clean the cooking surface. If necessary, use a wet cloth with a little bit of detergent.
  2. Make sure the electric grill is properly plugged.
  3. Select the desired temperature, it will take a few minutes to reach the temperature. The indicator light will light up.
  4. When the indicator light switches off, the electric grill has reached the desired temperature and is ready to cook.
  5. While in use, the indicator light will switch off and on. That means that the thermostat is working to reach the desired temperature, or that the temperature has been reached and, therefore, the thermostat stops working.
  6. Cooking time will vary depending on the type of food you are preparing.
  7. When the food is ready, switch off the appliance and remove the food with a wooden or silicone spatula, as using a metal spatula may scratch the grill.
  8. When you have finished using the appliance, disconnect it from the socket and the temperature knob.

Warning

The electric grill will get very hot; avoid contact once you have finished cooking. Let it cool down for a few minutes.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  • Let the electric grill cool down before cleaning it.
  • Disconnect the temperature knob and the cable.
  • Clean the electric grill with a sponge and soap. Do not submerge the temperature knob or the power cable in water.
  • If you wish, you can also disassemble the grill and put it in the dishwasher without the temperature knob and the cable.
  • Let it dry.
  • Assemble all components and use again.

NOTE: make sure that the electric grill is completely dry before using it again.
