• This appliance is intended for domestic use only and is not suitable for use in commercial establishments such as bars, restaurants, farms, hotels, motels, and offices.
• Use the appliance only for the purposes described in this manual. Improper or incorrect use may pose a hazard to both the appliance and the user.
• This appliance can be used by people with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and maintenance tasks should not be carried out by children.

• Children shall not play with the appliance.
- The appliance is not intended to be used by children. Keep this appliance and its power cable out of their reach.
- Always turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply before assembling or disassembling it or if it is not going to be used for a long period of time. To unplug the appliance, pull the plug, not the cord.
- It is absolutely necessary to always keep the appliance clean, as it is in direct contact with food.
- Warning: Do not use the food slicer for more than 5 minutes at a time. The product is only intended for short-term operation. After an operating period of 5 minutes, allow to cool down for at least 30 minutes. Do not overload the product.
- Do not try to repair the appliance by yourself. In the event of a fault, repairs may only be carried out by qualified personnel.
- Never use the appliance near hot surfaces.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors and always place it in a dry environment.
- Ensure the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the appliance's rating label and that the socket is properly earthed.
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the power supply if it is left unattended and before assembly,

disassembly, or cleaning.

• Never leave the appliance unattended while in use.
• Switch off and unplug the appliance before changing accessories or nearby parts that move during use.
• Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any other non-removable part of the appliance in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Ensure that no liquid enters the motor.
• Make sure your hands are completely dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
• Do not wash the appliance in the dishwasher.
• Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service or similar qualified personnel to avoid risks.
• Do not carry the appliance by the cable. Make sure the cable is not trapped or stepped on. Do not wind the cable around the appliance and do not bend it.
• Do not let the cord hang over the edge of the working surface or worktop.
• Strictly follow the instructions in this manual to avoid injury or damage to the appliance.
• Be careful when handling the cutting disc, when using the appliance, and during cleaning.
• Do not use accessories not provided or suggested by Cecotec, as these could cause damage to the appliance or result in hazards.

• Do not place the appliance on unstable surfaces. Always place it on flat, dry, and stable surfaces.

• The appliance is designed for slicing cold cuts. Do not slice hard, frozen, plastic-wrapped, or foil-wrapped ingredients, bone-in meat, fruit with hard pits, etc.

• You can use the slicer to slice soft boneless meat, cheese, bread, or vegetables.
• The appliance must be used with the sliding plate and fixing element in place, unless it's not possible due to the size or shape of the food.
• Make sure that the disc is properly fixed to the appliance. The disc must always run at a constant speed and without rubbing against the structure.
• To push the ingredients against the cutting disc, use only the food pusher provided by Cecotec.
• Do not touch the rotary cutting disc.
• Be careful when handling the cutting disc, especially when removing it for cleaning.
• Do not use your hands to slice the food. Always use the carriage and guides, unless the size of the food to be cut prevents it. Never touch the cutting disc. If food gets stuck on the cutting disc, remove it with a plastic spatula. Turn off and disconnect the appliance from the mains supply before cleaning it.
• Do not insert your fingers or any objects such as knives, forks, etc. in the area between the thickness regulator and the cutting disc.
• Make sure the cutting disc has come to a complete stop before removing the food.
• During operation, keep hands, hair, clothing and utensils away from the blade to avoid injury and

damage to the product.

- Never use a damaged product! Disconnect the product from the mains and contact your supplier if it is damaged.

2. Before use

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

• Do not remove the product's serial number in order to keep proper traceability if

technical assistance is required.

- Before first use, clean all removable parts with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive products.

Caution: The blade is extremely sharp. Handle with care.

3. Assembling the appliance

1. Place the food slicer on a clean, dry, and level surface.
2. Move the sliding food tray forwards and backwards to ensure smooth movement.
3. Ensure the blade is firmly installed by turning it anticlockwise. Fig. 2
4. Adjust the knob to the desired thickness.
5. Place a waxed plate or paper behind the appliance to collect food.

Caution: Do not place hands or fingers near the blade at the rear. There is risk of cuts or serious injury.

4. Operation

Usage instructions

1. Adjust the thickness knob to choose the desired cutting width, from 1 to 15 mm.
2. Slide the tray to the left and place food onto it.
3. Use the food pusher to press gently against the rear.
4. Activate the safety switch by pulling it towards you and press the operation switch, the blade will begin to rotate.
   Warning: Never touch the blade; it is extremely sharp and may cause very serious injuries.
5. Slide the tray slowly to the right, cutting the food with the rotating blade. Collect slices at the rear of the appliance.
6. When switching off the appliance, the blade will continue rotating briefly; avoid touching it.
7. After 5 minutes of continuous use, switch off the appliance and allow it to cool down for 30 minutes to prevent motor overheating.

How to remove the cutting blade

1. Disconnect the appliance: Ensure the appliance is unplugged before removing the blade.

Precautions:

● Never touch the blade edges.
● Ensure it does not fall from the table.
- Keep children away from the appliance.

1. Unlocking the blade: Turn the blade holder clockwise to unlock it, then remove carefully.
2. Cleaning: Wash the blade with soapy water and dry completely before refitting.

CAUTION:

THE BLADE IS EXTREMELY SHARP AND MAY CAUSE SERIOUS CUTS. HANDLE WITH CARE.

USEFUL TIPS

• Cut only boneless meats. Do not attempt to slice extremely hard foods or stone fruits.
• For best results, chill cheese or raw meats before slicing. When cutting soft cheese, spray the blade with water or clean with a damp sponge. If cheese accumulates on the blade, switch off and unplug the food slicer before cleaning with a damp cloth to prevent motor overheating.
• Do not attempt to cut completely frozen foods.
• Remove all wrapping materials from foods before cutting.

5. Cleaning and maintenance

● Unplug the appliance and allow to cool down before cleaning.
● Use a soft, slightly damp cloth for surfaces.
● Prevent water or other liquids from entering the appliance.

1. Ensure the switch is in the "OFF" position and unplug the power cord.
2. Do not use steel wool, scouring pads, or abrasive cleaners on any part of the food slicer.
3. The motor is protected within the housing. Do not immerse or expose the appliance, power cord, or plug to water or other liquids. The motor requires no lubrication.
4. Clean the blade after each use. Wash with a soft cloth or sponge and mild soap. Rinse and dry completely before reassembling.
5. For easier cleaning, remove the food tray by releasing the metal rod. Turn the cap on the right side of the rod to release it, then slide the rod out of the left sleeve and remove the tray.
6. Do not place any part of the appliance in the dishwasher.

Storage

● Ensure the blade is properly secured.
- Set the thickness knob to "0" to align the adjustment plate with the blade.
● Store the appliance in a clean, dry place.
