Standpipe

The standpipe (4) can only be screwed on to the hand spray gun (8). Turn the standpipe in a clockwise direction until it his hand tight on the hand spray gun.

Jet pipe with nozzle

  • The jet pipe (5) with nozzle can only be attached to the standpipe (4). These components have a quick-acting closure (13).
  • The connection is locked by pressing and turning simultaneously in a clockwise direction.
  • The connection is opened by first pressing the components together and then turning the pipe in an anticlockwise direction.

Detergent Container

The detergent vessel can only be attached to the high-pressure nozzle (11).

Before you can attach the detergent vessel it is necessary to turn the two plates in the nozzle together by turning the high-pressure nozzle (11).

The detergent container consists of 2 components.

  1. Connection with nozzle. Affix the connection to the high-pressure nozzle (11) and press it using small up-and-down movements until the catch locks into place on the nozzle. Release the connection by lifting the catch.
  2. The container. After filling this is attached to the connection and locked into place by means of a short twist in a clockwise direction.

Connection Requirements

Electrical connection

  • Only connect the machine to a properly installed safety socket, 230V / 50Hz
  • Before inserting the mains lead into the socket, check whether the voltage you intend to use complies with that of the machine.

Extension Leads

Only extension leads that are protected against water spray should be used with high mechanical strength and an internal diameter of at least 3 × 1.5 mm^2 .

Water Connection

GB

The high-pressure cleaner is suitable for connection to a standard domestic water supply. Please observe the regulations of your water supply company.

The supply hose (not supplied) should have the following dimensions:

Length: min 7,5 m

Diameter: min. 1/2"

For the connection values please see the technical data contained in these instructions.

Instructions for use

Use

The device is intended for private use only.
- Clean machines, vehicles, buildings, tools, facades, terraces, garden tools etc. with the high-pressure water jet. If necessary you can also use detergents. Please use detergents sparingly, noting the quantities recommended by the producer.

Please note:

  • The cleaning of motors/engines and other surfaces that may be covered with oil is only allowed in conjunction with an appropriate oil separator.
  • Do not clean any surfaces that may contain hazardous materials, such as asbestos.

Water

  • If necessary, clean the supply water with a water filter. Any impurities in the water could damage the pump.
  • Operating the high-pressure cleaner without water will damage the pump. Please ensure before switching on the cleaner that the water supply is available.

Bleeding the Device before Use.

  • The device must be connected to the electricity and water supply (See „Connection“, points 1-4 in the section „Operation").
  • Unscrew the high-pressure hose (7) from the high-pressure connection (2) of the device.
  • Switch on the device and allow it to run until the water coming out of the high-pressure connection no longer contains any bubbles.
  • Switch off the machine at the main switch (1) and screw the high-pressure hose (7) back on.

Cleaning Method

  1. Spray the detergent sparingly on to the dry surface. Allow it to act for a short time without letting the detergent dry.

GB

  1. Rinse off the loosened dirt with the high-pressure jet.

Water Loss

It is normal for the pump to lose small quantities of water. If there is a sizeable leak, please contact our service department.

Protection against Damage

Please do not underestimate the pressure produced by the high-pressure cleaner. If you would like to clean sensitive surfaces it is better to use the fan jet (See „Adjustment of the Spray Jet" in the section „Operation"). In the case of paints or insulated facades please begin at a considerable distance away. Move slowly closer - depending on the degree of soiling - to the object to be cleaned. Check the progress of your work at short intervals in order to prevent damage.

Never point the high-pressure jet at other people, animals, the device itself or electrical equipment!

Operation

Connection

  1. Use a hose to connect the water connection (3) to the water supply.
  2. Open the water supply and check for any leaks. A low level of water loss by the pump is normal.
  3. Secure the manual spray gun (8) with the lock (10).
  4. Insert the mains plug (9).
  5. Turn the main switch (1) on.

Working with the Hand Spray Gun (8)

Switching on:

Release the lock (10) and pull the lever of the gun. Caution! Recoil

Switching off:

Release the lever. During work breaks secure the hand spray gun (8) with the lock (10).

Adjustment of the Spray Jet

By turning the nozzle (5) you can vary the spray from a narrow jet to a fan jet. See also ABB. 1.

Note: If you use the detergent vessel, the spray jet should only be adjusted when the device is not in operation. Otherwise there is a danger that the detergent vessel will become loose when the spray jet is adjusted (danger of injury). Please also ensure that the detergent vessel is always facing downwards and is firmly in place on the high-pressure nozzle (11) before putting the device into operation.

Replacing Accessories

GB

  1. Turn the device off by the main switch (1).
  2. Allow the pressure to escape by operating the lever on the manual spray gun (8).
  3. Secure the manual spray gun (8) with the lock (10).
  4. Change to the desired accessory and then continue operation of the machine.

Finishing Operation

  1. Switch the device off by the main switch (1).
  2. Remove the mains plug (9) from the socket.
  3. Close the water supply.
  4. Allow any residual pressure to escape by operating the lever on the manual spray gun (8).
  5. Secure the manual spray gun (8) with the lock (10).
  6. Disconnect the device from the water supply by unscrewing the hose on the water connection (3) of the device.

Cleaning

The device must never be immersed in water to clean it, but should be cleaned with a soft dry cloth. In the case of stubborn dirt slightly dampen the cloth with water and then wipe dry.

Storage

Separate the accessories from one another. Allow the accessories and the high-pressure hose to run empty.

Please note: There is still water in the pump of the high-pressure cleaner. Frost may damage the pump or internal piping. Therefore the device should always be stored in rooms away from frost.

Troubleshooting

Device is not working

  • Check the mains connection.
  • Check the position of the main switch (1).

The motor suddenly stops during operation

  • Possible cause: The overheating protection of the pump has been activated. Switch the machine off and allow it to cool down for approx. 20 min. Then you can begin work again.

GB

The device does not reach the working pressure.

Bleed the machine: Allow the pump to run without the high-pressure hose until the water coming out of the high-pressure outlet no longer contains any bubbles. Then reconnect the high-pressure hose.

Clean the filter in the water connection (3).
- Check the water supply amount.
- Check the supply pipes to the pump to see if they are leaking or blocked.

Major fluctuations in pressure

  • Clean the high-pressure nozzle: Remove any dirt from the apertures with a needle.
  • Rinse out the dirt by allowing the water to pass through the nozzle in the opposite direction to the jet.

Leaking pump

It is normal for the pump to leak slightly. Should the leak become larger please contact our service department.

This device has been tested according to all relevant current CE guidelines, such as electromagnetic compatibility and low voltage directives, and has been constructed in accordance with the latest safety regulations.
