1. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Read these instructions thoroughly before using the appliance. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
- Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the rating label of the appliance and that the wall outlet is grounded.
- This product is for household only. Do not use for commercial or industrial purposes and do not use outdoors.
- Check the power cord regularly for visible damage. If the cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec in order to avoid any type of danger.
- Do not use the device if its cord or any other part is damaged. In this case, contact the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
- Keep children away from the packaging

- Do not immerse the cord, plug, or any non-removable part of the appliance in water or
any other liquid, nor expose the electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the appliance.
- Do not operate the device near water or in places where there is risk of getting wet.
- Do not use the device if your head skin is damaged or suffers from any type of illness.
- While the appliance is not being operated, ensure the protective cover is always assembled in its position.
- Turn off and unplug the device from the power supply before assembling or disassembling attachments.
- This appliance cannot be used by children or persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge. Supervise young children to make sure that they do not play with the appliance.

• Take the product out of the box.
- Remove all packaging materials. Keep the original box.
- Make sure all the components are included and in good conditions, otherwise, contact immediately the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
• Oil the device's blades before the first use.
4. OPERATION
- Connect the device to a power supply.
• Turn on the clipper with the on/off switch.
Note: An audible click may sometimes be heard when switching the equipment on, it is a result of the drive unit switching on. This is completely normal.
How to adjust the blade fixing screw
The blades are fixed to the optimum position during manufacturing. Despite this, it can be modified due to voltage fluctuations. Use the blade fixing screw to reposition the blades at the desired position if necessary.
- Switch the clipper on.
- Turn the adjustment screw clockwise until you hear a noise.
- Turn the adjustment screw anticlockwise until the noise stops. That is the optimum position.
How to change or readjust the blades
- Turn off and disconnect the appliance from the power supply.
- Undo both screws on the cutting unit, remove the bottom and top blade.
- When assembling them back, both should be aligned. Ensure:
- Adjust the blade lever to the shortest cutting length.

The distance between the front edge of the bottom blade and the front edge of the top blade should be between 0.8 mm and 1.5 mm.

The bottom and top blade should be positioned parallel to each other.
- The first tooth of the top blade (from the left) must cover the first tooth of the bottom blade.
- The top-right tooth of the top blade must touch the top-right large tooth of the bottom blade.
- Tighten both screws.
How to adjust the cutting length
1. Blade lever:
The cutting length can be adjusted through the blade lever during operation or before the appliance is switched on.
Lift the lever for shorter haircuts, or push it down for longer-length haircuts.
2. Clip-on guide comb:
Depending on the type of haircut, the clipper can be operated with or without the comb attachment.
Place the attachment comb onto the cutting edge of the cutting set and press it down onto the cutting set until it clicks into position.
5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Turn off and disconnect the device from the mains supply before cleaning, assembling or disassembling any of its parts.
- Do not use compressed air, abrasive scouring pads, powders or cleaners to clean the product.
- Do not immerse the appliance's body in water or any other liquid, or place it under running water.
- Clean the clipper and the attachments after each use.
- When any of the parts of the device are washed, dry them thoroughly before storing or using them again.
• Do not wrap the cord around the device to store it.

7. DISPOSAL OF OLD ELECTRICAL APPLIANCES

The European directive 2012/19/EU on Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE), specifies that old household electrical appliances must not be disposed of with the normal unsorted municipal waste. Old appliances must be collected separately, in order to optimize the recovery and recycling of the materials they contain, and reduce the impact on human health and the environment.
The crossed out “wheeled bin” symbol on the product reminds you of your obligation to dispose of the appliance correctly. If the product has a built-in battery or uses batteries, they should be removed from the appliance and disposed of appropriately.
Consumers must contact their local authorities or retailer for information concerning the correct disposal of old appliances and/or their batteries.
8. TECHNICAL SUPPORT SERVICE AND WARRANTY
This product is under warranty for 2 years from the date of purchase, as long as the proof of purchase is submitted, the product is in perfect physical condition, and it has been given proper use, as explained in this instruction manual.
The warranty will not cover the following situations:

- The product has been used for purposes other than those intended for it, misused, beaten, exposed to moisture, immersed in liquid or corrosive substances, as well as any other fault attributable to the customer.
- The product has been disassembled, modified, or repaired by persons, not authorised by the official Technical Support Service of Cecotec.
- Faults deriving from the normal wear and tear of its parts, due to use.
- The warranty service covers every manufacturing defects of your appliance for 2 years, based on current legislation, except consumable parts. In the event of misuse, the warranty will not apply.
