2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance comes in a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Remove the appliance from its box. You can keep the original box and other packaging materials in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all items are recycled properly.
• Check that all parts and components are included and in good condition. If any of them are missing or damaged, please contact Cecotec's Official Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION

1. Plug the appliance to the mains. Press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds to switch it on.

The indicator light flashes white. The hair straightener reaches 210^ C.

1. Press the temperature button to select: 150 °C, 170 °C, 190 °C, 210 °C, 230 °C.

3. Alternating upward flash: heating.
4. Alternating downward flash: cooling.
5. Solid: temperature reached, ready to use.
6. To switch it off, press and hold the power button for 1.5 seconds.
7. Unplug from the mains socket and allow it to cool down before storing.

Protective covers

• Before straightening, it is recommended to place the protective covers, as this reduces the risk of burns from accidental contact with the outer plates, which reach high temperatures.
• To create curls, remove the protective covers beforehand. To remove them, hold the four clips located at the top and bottom ends and pull gently until the cover is released.

Protection function (error signals)

• If when switching on the hair straightener, the white indicator lights 1/2/3/4/5 flash, this indicates NTC fault.
• If the MCH heating element in the upper housing fails, the MCH in the lower housing cuts the power supply to prevent overheating/ deformation. In this case, the white indicator lights 1/3/5 flash, indicating MCH fault.

Auto shutdown

- If the appliance remains switched on without operation, it automatically switches off after 60 minutes of being switched on.

Temperature lock

• Press the power button twice quickly, the temperature setting locks and a blue indicator light comes on.
• Repeat the double press to unlock; the blue indicator light will turn off.

- If the temperature is not changed for 5 minutes, the hair straightener automatically locks the temperature setting and the blue indicator light will come on.

Plate lock

- Wait for the appliance to cool down. Keep it closed and slide the switch located at the rear towards the closed padlock symbol to keep it compact and facilitate storage. To open, slide the switch towards the open padlock symbol.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

- Keep the appliance clean for optimal performance. Heat can transfer hair product residue to the plates.

• After each use, unplug it from the mains socket, allow to cool down and clean the plates with a slightly damp cloth to remove residue. Do not use harsh agents. Do not store it wet, make sure it is completely dry.
• When not in use, unplug it, allow to cool and store in a dry place, out of reach of children.
• Never wind the power cord around the appliance. Handle carefully and avoid pulling, twisting or straining, especially in the plug area. If the cord becomes twisted, straighten it before use.
• Frequently check for signs of wear and ensure the appliance is not damaged. If the appliance shows visible signs of damage, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
