2. BEFORE USE

• This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the appliance out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place to prevent damage to the appliance if you need to transport it in the future. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION

Note: The first time you use the hair straightener, it may give off a little steam and a strange smell. This is a normal phenomenon and will disappear over time.

1. Plug the hair straightener to the mains and switch it on by pressing the power button, the default temperature is 190 °C .
2. Set the desired temperature (between 130 and 230^ ) by repeatedly pressing the temperature increase or decrease buttons or select the maximum temperature by pressing and holding the HeatMax function button.
3. While the hair straightener is heating up, you will be able to see the actual temperature of the heating plate on the display, and the level indicator will increase. When the hair straightener has reached the default temperature, the level indicator will remain fixed, and the selected temperature will remain on the display.
4. Then comb your hair and divide it into sections. Start with the lower sections of the hair. Take a section about 4 cm wide and place it between the two heating plates.

Note: Be careful not to touch the heating plates with your hand.

1. Glide the hair straightener slowly from roots to ends. Do not touch the scalp with the heating plates, you could get burned.
2. Repeat the process if necessary and do the same with the rest of the strands. Allow the hair to cool down before styling.
3. When you have finished using the hair straightener, switch it off by pressing and holding the power button and unplug it from the mains.

Note: Allow the hair straightener to cool down on a heat-resistant surface before storing.

Note:

Some steam may be released when using the appliance. This may be due to evaporation of sebum, traces of hair products or excess water evaporating from the hair.

To get the best results when straightening your hair and to keep it protected, it is important to follow some basic recommendations. Below you will find practical tips that will help you to optimise the use of your straightener, keep your hair healthy and achieve a flawless straightening result.

• Use a lower temperature on the first pass. This will help protect the hair and determine if the temperature needs to be adjusted.
• You can use a hair spray to protect the hair from heat. This reduces thermal damage and keeps hair healthy.
• If you notice that the hair is not straightened properly, press the heating plates lightly on the strand of hair and glide the appliance more slowly or select a higher temperature.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the hair straightener and allow it to cool down completely.
• Clean the heating plates with a damp cloth. Do not use any type of soap.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid and do not expose it to water while cleaning it.
• Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders, or cleaners.
• When storing the appliance, make sure that the heating plates are properly closed and locked with the locking tab.
• Store the appliance in a dry and safe place, out of the reach of children.
• Do not wind the cable around the device.
• Place the appliance on a heatproof surface until it cools down before cleaning or storing it.
