• Make sure to have 2 or more people present when moving and installing the product to prevent the risk of injury. The product is heavy.
• Keep the doors closed and do not hold onto the doors when moving the product.
• Do not hit obstacles or drop the product when moving it.
• Ensure that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged when moving the product.

Do not place hands, feet, or metal objects under or behind the product. There is a risk of crushing and sharp edges may cause injury.

• Do not stand on any parts of the product or use any parts of the product as supports.
• Do not place objects on the top of the product. They may fall when opening or closing the door and cause injuries.
• Unplug the product if it is not to be used for a longer period of time.
• Be careful when touching the side walls of the product. The side walls are equipped with cooler pipes to enhance the cooling system. High pressure fluid may flow through these surfaces and become hot. This is normal and does not require maintenance.

When switching off the product for an extended period of time, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to keep the product in good condition and prevent mould.

• If the power cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• If the power socket is loose, do not plug in the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock and fire.
• Do not pull on the power cord when you unplug the product. Grab the power plug firmly and pull it out of the power socket.
• Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.
• Only use this product with the original power cord.
• Do not damage or crush the power cord, and do not use it if it is damaged, worn or cut. Any damage to the cord may cause a short circuit, fire, and electric shock.
• Do not remove the electronic board cover and the compressor rear cover. There is a risk of electric shock and fire.
• Make sure the power plug is dry, clean and free from dust when plugging it in.
• After installation, make sure electrical parts are not accessible.

- The following symbol can be found on the product. It is a warning and indicates that the refrigerant and insulation blowing gas are flammable.

• During transportation and installation of the product, ensure that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged. The refrigerant, isobutane (R600a), contained within the refrigerant circuit is flammable.
• If the refrigerant circuit is damaged, do not touch the product or the power plug, avoid open flames and sources of ignition and thoroughly ventilate the area surrounding the product. Do not use fans to ventilate. Contact an authorised service centre.
• If the gas channels of the product are punctured, refrigerant may leak. Keep away from the gas. Leaking refrigerant causes skin irritation, eye injuries and may cause frostbite.
• Do not alter the specifications or modify the product in any way.
• If the power socket is loose, do not plug in the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock or fire.
• Do not damage or crush the power cord, and do not use it if it is damaged, worn or cut. Any damage to the cord may cause a short circuit, fire, and electric shock.
• Do not remove the electronic board cover and the compressor rear cover. There is a risk of electric shock and fire.

Keep flammable materials and vapours, such as gasoline, away from product to prevent the risk of death, explosion or fire.

Before installing or adjusting accessories, make sure that the product is unplugged from the power socket.

Before starting the installation, switch off the fuse the product is connected to.

• Keep children away from the installation area.
• Always use personal protective equipment (gloves etc.) during installation, maintenance and repair. There is a risk of injury.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
• Do not plug in the product if it is damaged.
• When positioning the product, ensure the power cord and power plug are not trapped or damaged. A damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire.
• Ensure the power cord does not come into contact with any heat source.
• Do not bend the cable. This may cause a fire.
• Do not place heavy objects on the cable.
• When positioning the product, ensure the power plug is accessible. If this is not possible, the electrical installation to which the product is connected must contain a device or mechanism that conforms to the electrical regulations and disconnects all terminals from the mains.
• When positioning the product, ensure that no power cords, metal pipes for gas or water come into contact with the product's rear wall or the condenser.

• Do not install or leave the product in a location with direct sunlight or other places where it may be exposed to high ambient temperatures.
• Make sure there is sufficient space and air circulation around the product. Install the condenser spacers to maintain a safe distance from the back wall.
• When positioning the product, the space above the product must be minimum 50 mm, and the product must be placed against a wall with a clearance of at least 50 mm to allow for air circulation and to prevent overheating and increased energy consumption.
• Do not install the product near heat sources such as stoves, hobs, ovens, and central heaters. The space between the product and such heat sources must be minimum 300 mm. If the product must be installed near a heat source, use a suitable insulation plate and ensure the recommended minimum distance is maintained.
• Do not install the product near electric ovens. The space between the product and such heat sources must be minimum 50 mm. If the product must be installed near a heat source, use a suitable insulation plate and ensure the recommended minimum distance is maintained.
• If the product must be installed near a heat source, use a suitable insulation plate, in addition to making sure the minimum distance to the heat source is as specified.
• Do not install the product in humid environments or in areas where it can get splashed with water (for example, a garage, laundry room, etc.). If the product gets wet, unplug it and contact an authorized service. Penetration of humidity and liquid into live parts or the power cord may cause a short circuit.
• Keep ventilation openings outside the product clear of obstruction. Otherwise, power consumption increases and the product may be damaged.
• Do not install the product without sufficient space and air ventilation around it. This leads to overheating.
• Do not install the product close to radiators, cookers, or other heat sources.
• Do not install the product on a rug, carpet, or similar material. There is a risk of fire if ventilation is insufficient.
• This product must be placed on a clean, level surface of hard material.
• The surface on which the product is installed should be strong enough to support a fully loaded product.
• Adjust the feet until all feet make contact with the floor and the product is level. This prevents the product from moving, tipping over, and risk of injury.
• Take care to avoid pinching hands between the product and the ground or between the product and the adjusted foot when leveling the product.
• Ensure the installation room has sufficient volume. The more refrigerant the product contains, the bigger the installation room needs to be. For every 8 grams of refrigerant, at least 1 m³ of installation room volume is needed. Check the label on the product for the amount of refrigerant it contains. If the product is installed in a very small room, there is a risk of a flammable gas-air mixture in case of a gas leak in the refrigerant system.

• Do not connect the product to the power socket if the product is damaged. Contact the retailer from which you purchased the product.
• Do not connect the product to the power socket if the power socket is loose, broken, dirty, greasy, or has a risk of water contact. These types of connections may overheat and cause fire.
• Only use this product with the original power cord.
• Do not place the power cord in a way that it causes a risk of tripping.
• Use a dedicated power socket, meaning that the power socket must not be shared with other products.
• Do not use a power socket that can be turned off by a switch or other electricity-saving systems.
• Do not connect the product to power-saving devices. This may damage the product.
• Do not use external timers or separate remote control systems to control the product.
• Do not place multi-plugs or portable power supplies behind or in the vicinity of the product. They may overheat and cause fire.
• Do not locate multiple portable socket outlets or portable power supplies behind the product.
• Make sure to connect the power plug to an earthed three-pole socket. Check carefully to ensure that your socket is properly and reliably earthed. This product corresponds to protection class I.
• Make sure the connection parameters of the product match the mains electricity supply. This information (fuse rating, voltage and frequency) is found on a label on the product. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock, fire, injuries or problems with the product.
• Do not use multi-plugs, adaptors or extension cords and do not lengthen the power cord.
• A 10-amp to 16-amp fused, grounded electrical supply is required.

Do not connect the product to supply systems and power sources which may cause sudden voltage changes (for example a portable solar-energy power source). Otherwise, the product may be damaged.

Safety during operation

WARNING!

• Do not start the product if it is damaged. Unplug the product or switch off the fuse it is connected to and contact an authorized service agent. There is a risk of electric shock.
• Do not tamper with or damage the refrigerant circuit. There is a risk of explosion.
• Do not damage the pipes of the refrigerant circuit using sharp and piercing tools. If the gas channels of the evaporator, pipe extensions, or surface coatings are punctured, refrigerant may leak. Leaking refrigerant causes skin irritation and eye injuries.

WARNING!

• Only genuine accessories must be used.
• Do not store explosive substances in this product, such as aerosol cans that contain a flammable propellant.
• Do not store flammable gas or liquids in the product; there is a risk of explosion.
• Do not use or store temperature-sensitive materials such as flammable sprays and objects, dry ice, or other chemical agents near the product. There is a risk of fire and explosion.
• Do not store containers filled with liquid on top of the product, to avoid spillage. Dry any spilled liquids. Spilled liquids may cause electric shock, fire, or injury.

Keep burning candles, lamps, and other items with naked flames away from the product to avoid the risk of fire.

WARNING!

• Do not use the product when your feet are bare or your body is wet.
• Take care to avoid pinching fingers, hands or other body parts when interacting with moving parts inside the product or between the door and the door frame. If there are children around, be careful when opening or closing the door.

• Do not remove or place food or containers in the freezer compartment with wet hands when the freezer is running, especially metal containers, to avoid the risk of skin abrasions and ice burns.
• Do not touch the inner walls of the freezer compartment with wet hands, to avoid the risk of skin abrasions and ice burn.
• Do not consume frozen food, such as ice popsicles and ice cubes, straight from the freezer. This may cause ice burns.

CAUTION!

Warnings for food safety!

To avoid contamination of food, please follow these instructions:

• Avoid prolonged door openings: Keeping the door open for long periods can cause a significant increase in the temperature inside the compartments.
• Regular cleaning: Clean surfaces that come into contact with food and accessible drainage systems regularly.
• Water dispenser maintenance: For models with a water dispenser: If the water dispenser has not been used for 48 hours, clean it before use. If the water system is connected to a water supply and has not been used for 5 days, flush it before consumption.
• Proper storage of raw meat and fish: Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the compartments to prevent contact with or dripping onto other food.

• Star-rated compartments:

- Two-star frozen food compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, preserving ice cream, and making ice cubes.

- One-star, two-star, and three-star compartments are not suitable for freezing fresh food.

- Long-term storage precautions: If the refrigerating product is left empty for long periods, switch it off, defrost, clean, dry, and leave the door open to prevent mould from developing inside.

• The storage recommendations should be strictly adhered to.
• Store pre-packed frozen food in accordance with the frozen food manufacturer's instructions.
• Do not store food unless it is properly sealed, to prevent direct contact with inner surfaces.
• Make sure food is not in contact with the temperature sensor in the fridge compartment.
• Do not freeze frozen food again once it has thawed out. Once the food has thawed, it may slowly lose quality or spoil.
• Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer compartment as it creates pressure in the container, which may cause it to explode and damage the product.
• Make sure that bottles or glass containers are not left in the freezer for longer than needed. Freezing may cause the bottles and containers to break.
• Do not place acidic beverages in glass bottles and cans in the freezer, they may explode.

- Do not consume frozen foods if there is moisture and abnormal swelling in the packaging. It is likely that the food was previously stored improperly and has spoiled.

Safety during maintenance

WARNING!

• Any electrical work must be performed by a qualified electrician or a person with comparable qualifications.
• This product must only be serviced by an authorized service center, and only genuine spare parts must be used.
• Do not repair or replace any component of the product unless it is clearly specified in the manual.

Before cleaning or performing any maintenance on the product, unplug it from the power socket or switch off the fuse it is connected to.

• Do not use tools or other means to accelerate the defrosting process, other than those recommended by the manufacturer.

• Keep water away from the ventilation holes, electronic circuits, or lighting of the product. Otherwise, there is a risk of fire or electric shock.
• Do not pull the product by the door or door handle to move it. The door may cause injuries if the handle is pulled too hard.
• Do not use a wet or damp piece of cloth to clean the plug. Otherwise, there may be a risk of fire or electric shock. • Make sure to clean the power plug's tip regularly with a dry cloth to avoid the risk of fire.

CAUTION!

• Do not use sharp and abrasive tools or household cleaning agents, detergent, gas, gasoline, thinner, alcohol, wax, varnish, and similar substances when cleaning the product. This prevents deformation of the plastic parts. Only use cleaning and maintenance agents that are not harmful for food inside the product.
• Do not use vinegar, rubbing alcohol or other alcohol-based cleaning agents on any interior surface.
• Do not use water or cleaning products that is chlorinated on the exterior surface and chrome-coated parts of the product. Chlorine causes rust on metallic surfaces.
• Do not use sponges, rough cleaning cloths or other hard cleaning materials. They may cause scratches.

Regularly clean surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems.

1. Leave the fridge freezer to stand for at least 2 hours before plugging it in.

After a while, the compressor starts to operate and produce some noise. Sealed liquid and gases may also produce noise, even when the compressor is not running. The front edges of the product may feel warm, which prevents condensation. All of this is normal during operation.

1. Let the fridge freezer run empty, without opening the door, for 6 hours.

Your fridge freezer is now ready for use.

NOTE!

• The recommended setting on the temperature selector knob is 2-3.
• The recommended temperature is 4 °C in the fridge and -18 °C in the fridge freezer.
• Storing too much food when your fridge freezer is first turned on may affect the freezing performance negatively.

USING YOUR FREEZER

WARNING!

• If the power socket is loose, do not plug in the power plug. There is a risk of electric shock and fire. - Do not touch the power plug with wet hands.

NOTE!

If there is a sudden power failure or if you unplug and plug in the power cord after a short period of time, the gas pressure in the cooling system becomes unbalanced. This activates the compressor's thermal safeguard. The product restarts after about 6 minutes. If it does not restart after this time, please contact Elvita support.

1. Plug in the power cord to turn on the fridge freezer.
2. Unplug the power cord to turn off the fridge freezer.

WARNING! Do not pull on the power cord when you unplug the product. Grab the power plug firmly and pull out of the power socket.

Settings and modes

Change the temperature in the fridge freezer

Set the recommended temperature level for all compartments.

CAUTION!

• A high temperature setting will accelerate food waste.
• A lower temperature setting than necessary wastes energy.
• For optimum food preservation, a medium setting is the most suitable.

CAUTION!

Do not store any food in the fridge freezer when the minimum temperature level [Holiday] is selected. Only use this temperature level to reduce energy consumption during longer periods of non-use.

1. Open the door and turn the temperature selector knob to select a temperature level ([Holiday], 1, 2, 3, 4 - the higher the number, the colder the temperature).

NOTE!

• The recommended setting on the temperature selector knob is 2-3.
• The recommended temperature is 4 °C in the fridge and -18 °C in the freezer.

NOTE!

• Temperatures inside may vary, depending on how much food is stored, ambient temperature, or the door being left open too long or too frequently causes the temperature to rise. It is recommended to close the door as soon as possible after use.
• Temperature may also vary across different sections of the fridge freezer; the coldest section in the fridge compartment is above the vegetable drawer.

Turning Super freeze mode on and off

Use Super freeze mode to rapidly lower the temperature and freeze food faster than usual.

NOTE!

• Super freeze mode increases power consumption when rapidly lowering the temperature. To freeze fresh food, turn on Super freeze mode before adding the food to ensure proper pre-freezing.
• When using Super freeze mode to freeze a small amount of food, turn off the mode after some time to save energy.

1. To turn on Super freeze mode, turn the temperature-control knob to [Super freeze]. NOTE! Super freeze mode automatically turns off after 24 hours and the temperature setting in the freezer reverts back to the coldest setting (4).
2. To turn off Super freeze mode, turn the temperature-control knob to the preferred temperature setting (1, 2, 3 or 4).

Door alarm

NOTE!

To save energy, avoid keeping the door open for a long time.

When the fridge or freezer door has been open for a short period of time, an acoustic alarm sounds. Turn off the alarm by closing the door.

Storing food

Storing food in the fridge

WARNING!

- Do not overload the shelves, door racks or put too much food in the drawers to avoid items falling and causing injury or damage to the fridge freezer.

- Do not overload the product to prevent insufficient air circulation.

CAUTION!

• Always follow food storage times and expiration dates suggested by manufacturers. - Opening the door for long periods can cause a significant increase of the temperature in the compartments. - Store raw meat and fish in suitable containers in the fridge, so that it is not in contact with or drip onto other food. - Do not put liquid oils or oil-cooked meals in your refrigerator in unsealed containers. They damage the plastic surfaces of the product. Clean and rinse any spilled oil with warm water at once.

CAUTION!

Do not close the door while any shelves are extended or drawers are open. It may damage the shelves, drawers and door.

NOTE!

To avoid wasting energy:

• Do not store warm food or evaporating liquid in the fridge freezer. Placing hot food directly into the fridge or freezer causes the internal temperature to rise resulting in the compressor having to work harder and therefore consume more energy. Warm food and beverages must cool down to room temperature before storing them.
• Do not keep the doors open for longer periods.

Use the following tips and recommendations when storing food in the fridge.

• Use the recommended temperature settings to keep food fresh for longer periods of time. See section "Change the temperature in the fridge freezer", page 17. If a low temperature setting is used, fresh fruits and vegetables may be partially frozen.
• Store the food in closed containers to prevent changes in smell and taste.
• Do not store too much food in the fridge. Place the food so that air can circulate freely around it.
• Allow air to flow by leaving a gap between the food and the inner walls. If the food touches the back wall, it may freeze.
• Let hot food cool to room temperature before placing it in the fridge. After they have cooled, place them on the lower shelves. Keep them away from foods that spoil easily.

- When defrosting frozen food, place it in the fridge. This saves energy and preserves food quality. - Do not store unripe tropical fruits (such as mango, melons, papaya, banana, or pineapple) in the fridge. This can make them ripen faster and reduce their storage life.

- Do not store onions, garlic, ginger, and other root vegetables in the fridge. Store them in a dark, cool room.

- Remove and throw away spoiled food and clean surfaces that came in contact with the spoiled food.

- To cool large pots of food like soups and stews quickly, divide them into shallow containers before putting them in the fridge.

- Do not place unpackaged food close to eggs.

- Keep the fruits and vegetables separately and store each variety together (for example: apples with apples, carrots with carrots).

- Remove green vegetables from the plastic bag and place them in the fridge after wrapping them in a paper towel or drying cloth. Make sure washed vegetables are dry before placing them in the fridge.

- Store fruits and vegetables that dry out easily in perforated or unsealed plastic bags. This creates a damp environment and allows airflow.

- Unless there are extreme conditions in the environment, setting your product to the recommended temperature will keep food fresh longer in the fridge.

- Do not place food against the temperature sensor, located on the middle of the right interior wall. This allows the fridge compartment to keep its ideal storage temperature.

- It is recommended to use the drawers for storage. This saves energy and gives the food better storage conditions.

- The crisper drawer keeps vegetables fresh by keeping humidity. Cold air circulation is stronger in the crisper drawer. Store fruits and vegetables in this drawer. Keep green vegetables separate from fruits to make them last longer.

NOTE!

This product is most energy efficient with all shelves in their original position. However, the shelves can be removed for cleaning or to get more space in the refrigerator.

Store food in the freezer

WARNING!

• Do not remove or place food or containers in the freezer compartment with wet hands when the freezer is running, especially metal containers, to avoid the risk of skin abrasions and ice burns.
• Do not consume frozen food, such as ice popsicles and ice cubes, straight from the freezer. This may cause ice burns.

CAUTION!

• Always follow food storage times and use by dates suggested by manufacturers. - Do not freeze frozen food again once it has thawed out. Once the food has thawed, it may slowly lose quality or spoil. - Do not place carbonated or fizzy drinks in the freezer as it creates pressure in the container, which may cause it to explode and damage the product. - Make sure that bottles or glass containers are not left in the freezer for longer than needed. Freezing may cause the bottles and containers to break. - Do not purchase frozen food which has been stored at warmer temperatures than -18°C. - Do not consume frozen foods if there is moisture and abnormal swelling in the packaging. It is likely that the food was previously stored improperly and has spoiled.

NOTE!

Do not freeze bananas, tomatoes, lettuce, celery, boiled eggs, potatoes and similar food items. The nutritional value, taste and other eating qualities will be negatively affected.

Use the following tips and recommendations when storing food in the freezer.

• Use the recommended temperature settings to keep food fresh for longer periods of time. See section "Change the temperature in the fridge freezer", page 17.
• Prepare food in small portions to enable it to be rapidly and completely frozen and in turn make it possible to thaw only the quantity required. Once defrosted, food will deteriorate rapidly and should not be frozen again.
• Remove and throw away spoiled food and clean surfaces that came in contact with the spoiled food.
• Do not store food in the freezer without packaging.
• Keep the food in sealed containers to prevent direct contact with inner surfaces, and because microorganisms from food kept in unsealed containers can cause bad odour.

- Use packaging made of materials that are suitable for freezing, tear-proof, airtight, and resistant to cold, humidity, odour, and acids. Otherwise, the food that is hardened by freezing might pierce the packaging material. Seal the package well.

The following packaging materials are suitable to freeze food:

– Polyethylene bag - Aluminium foil - Plastic foil - Vacuum bags – Cold-resistant storage containers with caps

The following packaging materials are not recommended to freeze food:

• Packaging paper – Parchment paper – Cellophane (gelatine paper)
• Garbage bags – Used bags and shopping bags

- To obtain the best result when freezing fresh foods, turn on the Super freeze mode. See section "Turn on and turn off Super freeze mode", page 18.

- When using Super freeze mode to freeze a small amount of food, turn off the mode after some time to save energy.

- Label and date each frozen package in order to keep track of the storage time. Remove as many items as needed at one time.

- Do not allow fresh unfrozen food to touch the food which is already frozen to avoid temperature rise of the latter.

- Boil vegetables for a short period of time before freezing in order to preserve the nutritional value, aroma, and colour as much as possible. Remove any excess water and package the boiled vegetables properly to further extend the storage time.

NOTE!

Boiling is not necessary for some vegetables, such as cucumbers and parsley.

• Always follow food storage times and expiration dates suggested by manufacturers.

- Frozen foods should be consumed shortly after defrosting and should never be refrozen.

- When purchasing food, make sure that frozen foods are frozen at appropriate temperatures and their packages are not broken. Put the food in the freezer as soon as possible after purchasing them.

- Avoid purchasing pre-packed frozen foods if the packaging is covered with ice. This means that the product could be partially thawed and frozen again.

- To defrost frozen food, depending on the type of food, do one of the following:

- Defrost at room temperature.

NOTE!

Defrosting food by leaving it at room temperature for a long time is not very suitable when trying to maintain the food's quality.

• Defrost in the fridge compartment. This saves energy and preserves food quality.
• Defrost in an electrical oven.
• Defrost in a microwave oven.

Use the following tips and recommendations to save energy:

- Do not store warm food or evaporating liquid in the freezer. Placing hot food directly into the fridge or freezer causes the internal temperature to rise resulting in the compressor having to work harder and therefore consume more energy. Warm food and beverages must cool down to room temperature before storing them.

- Do not overfill the freezer. Blocking the internal airflow will reduce the cooling capacity.

- This product is most energy efficient with all shelves and drawers in their original position.

- Do not place shelves so that the air outlets at the rear wall are blocked and preferably, in a way that air outlets remain below the glass shelf. This may improve airflow and energy efficiency.

- Do not open the door for long periods of time. This can cause a significant increase of the temperature in the compartments. When the door is closed, the freezer and its components optimise performance and minimise energy consumption to ensure safe storage of your food.

- Maximum frozen food storage volume is achieved when the upper drawers are removed. Preferably place the food onto the shelves

- Do not place food in direct contact with the temperature sensor located in the compartment.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Clean the fridge freezer

Clean the fridge freezer every 15 days to avoid odours. Regularly clean the door seals to remove debris. Sticky food and drinks can cause the seals to stick to the cabinet and tear when opening the door. Cleaning is easier when food stocks are low. Improper cleaning of internal surfaces may lead to unpleasant odours.

- Unplug the fridge freezer before cleaning. There is a risk of electric shock.

• Do not use metal objects, sharp objects, steam cleaner, thinner, car detergent, clorox, ethereal oil, abrasive cleansers or organic solvent such as benzene for cleaning. They may damage the surface of the product and may cause fire.
• Do not place hands, feet, or metal objects under or behind the product. There is a risk of crushing and sharp edges may cause injury.

CAUTION!

• Regularly clean surfaces that can come in contact with food and accessible drainage systems.
• Do not rinse directly with water or other liquids to avoid damaging the product, short circuits or affect electrical insulation.
• Do not use cleaning products (such as soap, detergent, scrub powder, spray cleaner, etc.) to clean the interior. They may cause odour and may contaminate food.
• Do not use vinegar, rubbing alcohol or other alcohol-based cleaning agents on any interior surface.
• Do not use water or cleaning products that is chlorinated on the exterior surface and chrome-coated parts of the product. Chlorine causes rust on metallic surfaces.
• Do not use sharp and abrasive tools or household cleaning agents, detergent, gas, gasoline, thinner, alcohol, varnish, and similar substances when cleaning the product. This prevents deformation of the plastic parts. Only use cleaning and maintenance agents that are not harmful for food inside the product.
• Remove dust behind the fridge freezer and clean the surrounding area (without opening the cover) at least once a year to improve the cooling effect and save energy. Clean the product with a dry cloth.
• Remove oil spilled on plastic parts immediately with warm water, as it may damage the surface.

NOTE!

• Defrosting is done automatically. Water from the defrosting process will be drained into a drip tray through a drain pipe at the back of the product.
• With the No-Frost feature, water droplets and ice up to the thickness of a finger may form on the rear wall of the cooler compartment. Do not clean it, and never apply oils or similar substances.

2. Remove the food, drinks, and interior shelves and drawers. Throw away spoiled food and drinks.
3. Thoroughly wipe the interior and door seals with warm, soapy water using a soft cloth. Rinse with a soft, damp cloth and then dry completely.

CAUTION! Keep water away from the lamp's cover and other electrical components.

1. Clean the drawers and shelves in the sink with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry them completely.
2. Clean the door and door handle with a mix of mild dish soap and water using a soft microfiber cloth. Rinse with a soft, damp cloth and dry them completely.

NOTE!

• Only wipe the lamp and the control panel with a soft dry cloth.
• Sponges and other types of cleaning clothes may cause scratches on the exterior.

Spray water onto the cleaning cloth instead of spraying directly on the surface of the fridge freezer. This helps ensure an even distribution of moisture on the surface.

1. Install the interior shelves and drawers back into the fridge freezer.

NOTE! Ensure all surfaces are completely dry, especially the door seals, before reinstalling the shelves and drawers.

1. Plug in the fridge freezer to turn it on.

WARNING!

• Ensure that the power cord is not cracked or damaged. If the power cord is damaged, contact the dealer from whom you purchased the product or contact Elvita support.
• Do not plug the fridge freezer back into the power socket unless the interior is completely dry.

Ensure the fridge freezer is sufficiently cold before placing the food and drinks back into the fridge freezer.

Prepare for longer periods of non-use

When switching off the freezer for an extended period of time, some preparations need to be made to keep the freezer in good condition and prevent mould.

1. Unplug the freezer to turn it off.
2. Remove the food from the freezer, make sure any frost melts and that any remaining water is drained properly, and then clean it. See section "Clean the fridge freezer", page 23.

Leave the doors open to prevent odour.

When starting the freezer after a period of non-use, let the freezer run at least 6 hours on low temperature settings before putting food in the compartment.

Replacing the LED light

WARNING!

The LED light must not be replaced by the user. If the LED light is damaged, contact the Elvita support.

WARNING!

- Any electrical work required to do the servicing of the product should be carried out by a qualified electrician or competent person. - This product must be serviced by an authorized service center, and only genuine spare parts must be used.

NOTE!

- The lamps used in this product are not suitable for household room illumination. - The intended purpose of the lamps used in the product is to facilitate easy retrieval and storage of food items in the product.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Product is not working correctly

WARNING!

• Only authorized technicians may carry out repairs.
• If you experience problems with the product, see if the user instructions and troubleshooting information can help you find a solution. If the problem persists, contact an authorized technician, qualified electrician or the retailer where the product was purchased.

The problem can have different causes. Follow the instructions for the suggested causes to solve the problem.

Power supply is not working

1. Check the fuse or circuit of the power supply.
2. If it is not in working condition contact an authorized electrician.

Main plug is not inserted

Connect main plug to power outlet.

Odour from the compartments

The problem can have different causes. Follow the instructions for the suggested causes to solve the problem.

Interior is not clean

Clean the interior. See section "Clean the fridge freezer", page 23.

Food, containers or wrapping are causing odours

Use a different container, wrap food properly or remove spoiled food from the product.

Noise from the product

The problem can have different causes. Follow the instructions for the suggested causes to solve the problem.

Noise is normal during operation

The following noises are normal during operation:

• Noise from the compressor running.
• Operating noise increases with variations in ambient temperature when the product is in use. • Air movement noise from the small fan motor in the product compartment.
• Liquid flowing or spraying due to the product's liquid and gas flow principles.

Cabinet is not level

Level the product. See section "Level the fridge freezer", page 33.

WARNING!

This product must be placed on a level and sturdy surface of hard material. Level the front feet when needed.

Items placed on top of the product

Remove any item on top of the product that may cause noise.

Compressor runs continuously

Normal to hear the sound of the compressor

It is normal to frequently hear the sound of the compressor. The compressor will need to run more when:

• the temperature setting is set colder than necessary. Increase the temperature;
• a large quantity of warm food has recently been stored. Do not put hot food in the product;
• the temperature outside the product is too high;
• the doors are kept open too long or too often;
• the product is recently installed or it has been switched off for a long time.

- this product is larger than a previously installed product. Larger refrigerating products need to operate for a longer period of time;

Door seal is not clean, worn out, broken or not properly installed.

Clean the sealing strip or replace it. Contact Elvita support.

Compressor is not running

The problem can have different causes. Follow the instructions for the suggested causes to solve the problem.

The protective thermic of the compressor is blown out during sudden power failure or when the product is unplugged (plugged in).

The refrigerant pressure in the cooling system of the product has not been balanced yet. The product will start running approximately after 6 minutes. Contact the support if the problem persists. Contact Elvita support if you need help with your product.

Product is in the defrost cycle

This is normal for an automatically defrosting product. The defrosting cycle occurs periodically.

Product is not connected to the power supply

Connect the power cord to the power outlet. Make sure that the plug is fit properly into the socket.

Temperature settings are not made correctly

Change the temperature. See section "Change the temperature in the fridge freezer", page 17.

There is a power outage

Product returns to normal operation when the power is restored.

Temperature in one compartment is too cold while the temperature in the other compartment is sufficient

Temperature setting is set to too cold

Increase the temperature. See section "Change the temperature in the fridge freezer", page 17.

Temperature inside is too warm

The problem can have different causes. Follow the instructions for the suggested causes to solve the problem.

Doors are left open too long or too frequently

Make sure that the door is fully closed. Check that the doors are not kept open by some obstacle.

Product does not have sufficient space around it

Move the product so that it has sufficient space around it. See section "Installation area", page 30.

Temperature setting is set to too warm

Decrease the temperature. See section "Change the temperature in the fridge freezer", page 17.

Product is plugged in or food is stored recently

A higher temperature is normal. When the product is plugged in or loaded with food recently, it will take longer for it to reach the set temperature.

Large quantity of warm food is stored recently

Do not put hot food inside the product.

The exterior of the product feels warm

The exterior of the product feels warm

It is normal for the exterior of the product to feel warm during operation. High temperatures may be observed on the exterior, such as on the side panels, front edges and the rear grill area, due to cooler pipes that enhance the cooling system. This is normal and does not require servicing. Please be careful when touching these areas.

Door cannot be closed easily

The problem can have different causes. Follow the instructions for the suggested causes to solve the problem.

Something inside is preventing the door from closing

Remove the item preventing the door from closing.

Cabinet is not level

• Make sure the surface is suitable for the product. See section "Installation area", page 30. - Level the product. See section "Level the fridge freezer", page 33.

Drawer cannot be opened easily

Food items are touching the ceiling of the drawer

Rearrange the items preventing the drawer from closing.

Condensation on the product interior

The problem can have different causes. Follow the instructions for the suggested causes to solve the problem.

Ambient humidity is too high

Do not install the product in highly humid places. Wipe the condensation off with a clean towel.

NOTE!

Hot and humid weather increases condensation. It is normal and not a fault.

Door is left open too long or too frequently

Make sure that the door is fully closed. Check that the door is not kept open by some obstacle.

Open container of liquid in the product

Do not store open containers with liquid in the product. Cover or seal container.

Temperature setting is set to too cold

Increase the temperature. See section "Change the temperature in the fridge freezer", page 17.

Condensation on the product exterior

Ambient humidity is high

Hot and humid weather increases condensation. It is normal and not a fault. When the humidity is lower, the condensation disappears.

Availability of spare parts

The following spare parts are available seven years after placing the last unit of the model on the market: Thermostats, temperature sensors, printed circuit boards, light sources, door handles, trays, baskets and door hinges.

The following spare parts are available ten years after placing the last unit of the model on the market: Door gaskets.

• This product is not intended for use as a built-in product.
• Do not damage the refrigerant circuit.
• When positioning the product, ensure the power cord is not trapped or damaged. A damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire.
• Do not locate multiple portable socket outlets or portable power supplies behind the product.
• Do not connect the product to the power socket if the product is damaged. Contact the retailer from which you purchased the product.
• Use a dedicated power socket, meaning that the power socket must not be shared with other products.
• The plug must be plugged into an appropriate power socket that is installed and earthed in accordance with all local laws and regulations.
• Do not use a power socket that can be turned off by a switch or other electricity-saving systems.
• Make sure the connection parameters of the product match the mains electricity supply. This information (fuse rating, voltage and frequency) is found on a label on the product. If in any doubt, consult a qualified electrician.
• Do not use extension cords and do not lengthen the power cord.

Installation area

DANGER!

Keep flammable materials and vapours, such as gasoline, away from product to prevent the risk of death, explosion or fire.

• When positioning the product, ensure the power cord and power plug are not trapped or damaged. A damaged power plug may overheat and cause a fire.
• When positioning the product, ensure the power plug is accessible.
• Keep ventilation openings outside the product clear of obstruction.
• Do not install the product without sufficient space and air ventilation around the product. This leads to overheating.
• Do not install the back of the product too close to a wall. There is a risk of fire if the compressor gets overheated.

WARNING!

• Do not install the product near heat sources such as stoves, hobs, ovens, and central heaters. The space between the product and such heat sources must be minimum 300 mm.
• Do not install the product near electric ovens. The space between the product and such heat sources must be minimum 50 mm.
• When positioning the product, the space above the product must be minimum 50 mm, and the product must be placed against a wall with a clearance of at least 50 mm to allow for air circulation and to prevent overheating and increased energy consumption.

CAUTION!

This product performs well within the climate class from SN to ST. See section "Climate classes", page 38. The product may not work properly if it is exposed to temperatures above or below temperature ranges, spanning from 10 °C to 38 °C, for a long period.

Keep the following in mind when choosing a location to install the product:

• Avoid direct sunlight, rain or frost.
• Keep away from heat sources, such as cookers, ovens, fires, heaters or radiators.
• Position in a well-ventilated indoor location. Keep ventilation openings outside the product clear of obstruction.
• Do not install the product in a damp or wet location.
• If a door opening is too narrow for the product to pass through, remove the door and turn the product sideways. If this does not work, contact authorised service.
• Do install the product on a rug, carpet or similar material.
• The surface should be rigid, dry and level.
• Leave enough space to allow the doors and drawers to open easily, in accordance with the dimensions.
• Do not install the product in environments with temperatures below -5°C.

To level the product properly and allow air to circulate in the lower rear of the product, the feet may need to be adjusted. See section "Level the fridge freezer", page 33.

You can save energy and improve the efficiency of the cooling system by installing the product with sufficient space around it. This ensures good ventilation.

Unpack the fridge freezer

WARNING!

Keep all packaging away from children as there is a risk of suffocation.

NOTE!

Keep the packaging for future transportation and moving of the product.

1. Check the packaging for any damage. If the packaging is damaged, do not unpack the fridge freezer. Contact the retailer where the product was purchased.
2. Remove the cardboard box, plastic wrapping, and foam packaging.
3. Remove the cardboard and tape protecting the shelves and drawers. Take out the accessories and installation parts from inside the fridge freezer.
4. Check the fridge freezer for any damage. If the fridge freezer is damaged, do not connect it to the power supply. Keep the packaging and contact the retailer where the product was purchased.

Level the fridge freezer

Adjust the feet until all feet make contact with the floor and the fridge freezer is level. This prevents the fridge freezer from moving and avoids vibrations.

WARNING!

• Avoid jamming your hand between the product and the ground, or between the product and the adjusted leg. Risk of injury!
• The surface that the product is installed on should be strong enough to support a fully loaded product.

1. Check if any feet are not touching the floor, and if needed, adjust the front feet by screwing out the foot by hand or using a suitable spanner until it makes contact with the floor.

NOTE!

• Turn the feet clockwise to lower the fridge freezer.
• Turn the feet counter-clockwise to raise the fridge freezer.

Having someone push the fridge freezer makes it easier to adjust the feet.

1. Use a spirit level to check if the fridge freezer is level and adjust the feet again if needed.

Remove and install the doors

WARNING!

Do not have the product connected to the power socket when removing and installing the doors. Ensure that the power plug is removed from the power socket.

1. Unplug the fridge freezer.
2. Remove the screw on the upper hinge cover using a screwdriver.
3. Remove the upper hinge cover and disconnect the connectors.
4. Remove the screws and earthing cable on the upper hinge using a screwdriver.
5. Lift the upper door upwards to remove it. Place the door on a smooth surface with the front panel facing upward.
6. Remove the screws and the middle hinge.
7. Lift the lower door upwards to remove it from the lower hinge. Place the door on a smooth surface with the front panel facing upward.
8. To install the doors, repeat the steps in reverse order.

Reverse the door

You can change at which side the door opens if the installation site requires it.

1. Remove the doors from the hinges. See section "Remove and install the doors", page 34.
2. On top of the fridge freezer, remove the screw hole covers with a flathead screwdriver and the connector cover with a screwdriver, then install them on the opposite side.
3. On the opposite side of the fridge door, take out the connector cable and install the connector cover. NOTE! The connector cover for the left side is delivered with the product. See section "Accessories and installation parts", page 14.
4. For both doors, remove the screw and door stopper. NOTE! Save the stopper in a safe place, you need it if you want to reverse the doors again.
5. For both doors, install the other door stopper, using the same screw, on the opposite side of the fridge freezer. NOTE! The door stopper for the left side is delivered with the product. See section "Accessories and installation parts", page 14.
6. On the middle cover plate, remove the screw hole covers and install on the opposite side of the fridge freezer.
7. Tilt the fridge freezer slightly back in order to gain access to the front feet and lower hinge.

NOTE! Rest the fridge on soft foam packaging or similar material to avoid damaging the backboard.

1. Unscrew the lower hinge using a screwdriver.
2. Unscrew the hinge pin and screw it back in the reverse position using a 13 mm wrench.
3. Install the lower hinge on the opposite side of the fridge using screws and a screwdriver.
4. Swap positions on the upper hinge plug and upper hinge housing on the lower door.
5. Install the doors on the opposite side of the fridge freezer. See section "Remove and install the doors", page 34.

Move the fridge freezer

WARNING!

Make sure to have 2 or more people present when moving or installing the product to prevent the risk of injury.

CAUTION!

Do not hold the door, door handle or hinge when moving the product.

1. Remove the food and drinks from the fridge freezer and store them in a cool place.
2. Unplug the product.
3. Clean the fridge freezer. See section "Clean the fridge freezer", page 23.
4. Fix the shelves, drawers and removable parts with tape to prevent movement during the move. The fridge freezer is ready to be moved.

NOTE! The transportation rules on the packaging should be strictly observed.

Store different foods according to the recommended compartments and target storage temperature of the food products. Do this to ensure the best preservation over the longest period and to avoid food waste.

CAUTION!

• Two-star (**) frozen-food compartments are suitable for storing pre-frozen food, storing or making ice cream and making ice cubes.
• One-star (*), two-star (**), and three-star (*** ) compartments are not suitable for the freezing of fresh food.
