USER MANUAL SM 3794 SEVERIN
Before using the appliance, please read the following instructions carefully and keep this manual for future reference. The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions.

Connection to the mains supply
Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label of the blender.
This product complies with all binding CE labelling directives.
Important safety instructions
- Before the appliance is used, the main body as well as any attachment fitted should be checked thoroughly for any defects. Should the appliance, for instance, have been dropped onto a hard surface, it must not be used any longer: even invisible damage may have adverse effects on the operational safety of the appliance.
- The power cord should be regularly examined for any signs of damage. In the event of such damage being found, the appliance must no longer be used.
- Do not operate the appliance if excessive force has been used to pull the power cord. Damage cannot always be detected from the outside; the entire unit should therefore be checked by a qualified technician before it is used again.
No responsibility is accepted if damage
results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with. Any misuse can cause severe personal injury.
Always remove the plug from the wall socket after use, and also
- in case of any malfunction
during cleaning, -
before changing any attachment.

Great care is necessary when using this appliance, especially near children. Do not leave the appliance unattended while connected. Always remove the plug from the wall socket, even if you leave the room only for a short while.
- The appliance may only be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities, or lacking experience and knowledge, if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance and fully understand all dangers and safety precautions involved.
Children must not be permitted to operate the appliance. The appliance and its power cord must be kept well away from children.
Children must not be permitted to play with the appliance. - Caution: Keep any packaging materials well away from children - these are a potential source of danger, e.g. of suffocation.
- Do not allow the unit or its power cord to touch hot surfaces or to come into contact with any heat sources.
Always switch the appliance off and remove the plug from the wall socket before adding, changing, removing or cleaning any attachments or cutting tools. - Caution: The blades are extremely sharp. To prevent injuries, take special care when emptying or cleaning the bowl, or when otherwise handling these blades.
After switching off, always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill. Do not touch any moving parts. -
During operation, the unit should be placed on a scratch-resistant surface.

In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the power cord. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to one of our customer service departments. The addresses can be found in the appendix to this manual.
Before using for the first time
Before the appliance is used for the first time, the blender jug and all detachable parts must be thoroughly cleaned as described in the section General care and cleaning.
Operating buttons
The blender is equipped with 2 push-type operating buttons.
Operating button I: low power
Operating button II: high power
When using the operating button I, the speed can be adjusted individually by means of the speed control.
Blender operation
- Fit the blender attachment to the drive unit and push it down until the drive unit is heard locking into place.
- Always use a suitable container for operation. The blender jar provided, or any tall container with a flat base are suitable.
- Push the blender attachment down into the ingredients in the bowl before switching the unit on with the operation buttons.
- Make sure that the attachments can rotate freely inside the bowl and are not blocked
during operation.
- As soon as the operating button is released, the blender will switch off. Always wait until the motor has come to a complete standstill before lifting the blender attachment from the mixture.
- Remove the plug from the wall socket after use.
- To remove the blender attachment, push both release buttons simultaneously and pull it from the drive unit.
For maximum performance, the following recipe may be used:
Blend 200ml water und 300g soy beans for 30 seconds.
Blender jug with non-slip base
The non-slip base is placed underneath the blender jug to ensure a safe stand. It can also be used as a cover for the jug.
General care and cleaning
Always remove the plug from the wall socket before cleaning the appliance.
- To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not clean the drive unit or the power cord with water and do not immerse them in water. The drive unit may be wiped with a slightly damp, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use abrasives, harsh cleaning solutions or sharp or pointed objects for cleaning.
- The blender attachments and blender jug can be cleaned using hot water and a mild detergent, or in a dish-washer. Caution: the blades are extremely sharp.
Disposal

Do not dispose of old or defective appliances in domestic garbage; this should only be done through public collection points.
Guarantee
This product is guaranteed against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of two years from the date of purchase.
Under this guarantee the manufacturer undertakes to repair or replace any parts found to be defective, providing the product is returned to one of our authorised service centres. This guarantee is only valid if the appliance has been used in accordance with the instructions, and provided that it has not been modified, repaired or interfered with by any unauthorised person, or damaged through misuse.
This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights, nor any legal rights you may have as a consumer under applicable national legislation governing the purchase of goods. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return. If within the guarantee period, please also provide the guarantee card and proof of purchase.
