• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

• The supply cord cannot be replaced. If the cord is damaged, the AC adaptor should be scrapped.

• Do not use anything other than the supplied AC adaptor for any purpose.

Also, do not use any other product with the supplied AC adaptor. (See page 10.)

WARNING

To prevent skin or health problems

Do not use this appliance in the following body areas or following cases.

• When you do not feel well
  After drinking alcohol or taking medicine, or when you are very tired
• Areas with skin damage, eczema or swelling
• Areas with skin inflammation, severe sunburn or other skin abnormality
• Body areas where epilation was performed on the same day
• Body areas where cosmetic surgery has been performed

Power supply

Do not connect or disconnect the adaptor to a household outlet with a wet hand.

• Doing so may cause electric shock or injury.

Do not immerse the AC adaptor in water or wash it with water.

Do not place the AC adaptor over or near water filled sink or bathtub.

Never use the appliance if the AC adaptor is damaged or if the power plug fits loosely in a household outlet. Do not damage or modify, or forcefully bend, pull, or twist the cord. Also, do not place anything heavy on or pinch the cord.

• Doing so may cause electric shock or fire due to a short circuit.

Do not use in a way exceeding the rating of the household outlet or the wiring.

• Exceeding the rating by connecting too many plugs to one household outlet may cause fire due to overheating.

Always ensure the appliance is operated on an electric power source matched to the rated voltage indicated on the AC adaptor.

Fully insert the adaptor or appliance plug.

• Failure to do so may cause fire or electric shock.

Always unplug the adaptor from a household outlet when cleaning.

• Failure to do so may cause electric shock or injury.

Regularly clean the power plug and the appliance plug to prevent dust from accumulating.

• Failure to do so may cause fire due to insulation failure caused by humidity.

Disconnect the adaptor and wipe with a dry cloth.

Product information

This product has a built-in rechargeable battery. Do not throw into flame or heat. Do not charge, use, or leave in high temperatures.

Do not store within the reach of children or infants. Do not let them use it.

Never disassemble except when disposing of the product.

In case of an abnormality or malfunction

Immediately stop using and remove the adaptor if there is an abnormality or malfunction.

• The main unit, adaptor or cord is deformed or abnormally hot.
• The main unit, adaptor or cord has a burning smell.
• There is abnormal sound during use or charging of the main unit, adaptor or cord.
• Immediately request inspection or repair at an authorized service centre.

Do not allow metal objects or trash to adhere to the power plug or the appliance plug.

• Doing so may cause electric shock or fire due to a short circuit.

Do not wrap the cord around the adaptor when storing.

• Doing so may cause the wire in the cord to break with the load, and may cause fire due to a short circuit.

Disconnect the adaptor or the appliance plug by holding onto the adaptor or the appliance plug instead of the cord.

• Failure to do so may cause electric shock or injury.

Disconnect the adaptor from the household outlet when not charging.

• Failure to do so may cause electric shock or fire due to electrical leakage resulting from insulation deterioration.

Handling of the removed battery when disposing

DANGER

The rechargeable battery is exclusively for use with this appliance. Do not use the battery with other products. Do not charge the battery after it has been removed from the product.

• Do not throw into fire or apply heat.
• Do not hit, disassemble, modify, or puncture with a nail.
• Do not let the positive and negative terminals of the battery get in contact with each other through metallic objects.
• Do not carry or store the battery together with metallic jewelry such as necklaces and hairpins.
• Do not use or leave the battery where it will be exposed to high temperatures, such as under direct sunlight or near other sources of heat.
• Do not peel off the battery casing or outer wrap.
• Doing so may cause overheating, ignition, or explosion.

WARNING

After removing the rechargeable battery, do not keep it within reach of children and infants.

• The battery will harm the body if accidentally swallowed. If this happens, consult a physician immediately.

WARNING

If the battery fluid leaks out, do not touch the battery with your bare hands.

• The battery fluid may cause blindness if it comes in contact with your eyes.

Do not rub your eyes. Wash immediately with clean water and consult a physician.

• The battery fluid may cause inflammation or injury if it comes in contact with the skin or clothes.

Wash it off thoroughly with clean water and consult a physician.

Notes

• You can store the brush and measuring cap on the stand.
• The measuring cap can be attached to the main body. (Use this for storage of the appliance.)

Charging

1 Open the socket cover and insert the appliance plug into the socket.
- Wipe off any water in the socket.
2 Set the main body on the stand.
3 Plug in the adaptor into a household outlet.

4 Check that the charging indication/notification lamp glows.

The charging indication/Notification lamp glows (red).

While charging → Red light glows.

After charging is completed → Red light goes off.

• Charging is completed in about 2 hours.
• The charging time may differ with the charging capacity. If you remove and reinsert the appliance plug while charging, the charging indication/Notification lamp glows and turns off after approximately 5 seconds.

After charging is complete, unplug the adaptor from the household outlet and unplug the appliance plug from the main body.

(for safety and to reduce energy usage)

• There will be no problems with the main body even if it is charged for 2 hours or more.

Charging precautions

The charging time may differ when the appliance is being used for the first time, or if it has not been used for six months or more. The charging indication/Notification lamp may not glow during the first few minutes after starting to charge the appliance. Allow the appliance to continue to charge and the charging status lamp will illuminate shortly.

After charging for approximately 2 hours, the appliance can be used for approximately 1 week. (per typical usage scenario: 7 repetitions of warming make-up removal, 7 repetitions of brush cleansing, and 2 repetitions of pore-targeted cleansing)
- Recommended ambient temperature for charging is 15^ - 35^ . Charging may not be possible outside of the recommended temperature range.
- If there is crackling noise on the radio or other devices while charging, plug the AC adaptor to another outlet to avoid the interference.

• Charge the appliance within the recommended ambient temperature range (15 °C - 35 °C). Please consult with the store where purchased or a service centre authorized by Panasonic for repair if this happens repeatedly.

Before use

• Read the following information on the recommended usage frequency for best skin care results.

Warming make-up removal	3 minutes once per day
Brush cleansing	1 minute once per day
Pore-targeted cleansing	1 minute twice per week
(Optional) Exfoliation	1 minute once per week

Excessive use will have an adverse effect on the skin.

Please adjust the number of times used and usage time depending on the appearance of your skin.

• Please remove accessories (necklaces, earrings, etc.) before use as they may get caught during use.
• Tie hair or use a hairband or similar item to secure hair so that it does not get caught during use.

Answer

You can use the appliance while

taking a bath with device unplugged.

You can use any cream, gel, or liquid foaming facial cleanser. (Do not use handmade facial

cleansers, facial cleansers containing coarse materials for scrubbing, or those used for exfoliation.)

What make-up removers can be used with this appliance?

How often does the soft brush need replacing?

Is it OK if the inside of the socket cover gets wet?

Answer

You can use whichever oil-, gel-, and cream-based type of make-up remover that works for your skin.
(Do not use make-up removers containing coarse materials for scrubbing or those used for exfoliation.)
Approximately every 3 months if used once per day.
Approximately every 6 months if used twice per week.

You can use the warming makeup removal and brush cleansing
modes once per day. Use the pore-targeted cleansing mode twice per week.

The socket is waterproof for normal usage. Before charging, however, wipe off any water in the socket.
You can use the soft brush for 1 minute once per week.
The battery will deteriorate if not used for over 6 months, so makesure to perform a full charge atleast once every 6 months.

How to use

• Make sure the warming make-up removal plate is not cracked or dirty before use.
• The appliance will not operate when connected to the AC adaptor. The AC adaptor is used only for charging the appliance.

Warming make-up removal

The warming make-up removal plate loosens and easily removes make-up.

1 Press the warming make-up removal switch and select the desired temperature.

Warming make-up removal plate temperature options

Low () : approx. 43^

High ( ) : approx. 48^

• Pressing the warming make-up removal switch cycles through the "Power OFF" "Low ( )" "High ( )" options.
• The temperature is always set to "Low ( )" when the power is turned on.
• It is recommended to use the appliance at the "Low ( )" setting when first beginning use.

Notes

• The warming make-up removal mode indicator flashes while warming up.
• It takes approximately 30 seconds for the appliance to reach its usable temperature. (Assuming a room temperature of 25^ )
• The warming make-up removal plate temperature varies depending on the usage environment.
• The set temperature may not be reached if the ambient temperature is below 15^ .

2 Apply make-up remover (See page 13.) to your forehead, chin, and both cheeks.

• You can also use the appliance with make-up remover applied directly to the warming make-up removal plate.

3 Once the warming make-up removal mode indicator starts glowing, apply the warming make-up removal plate to your skin and begin to move it around your face.

Lightly apply the warming make-up removal plate to your skin and glide around your face in a circular motion from the inside out.

Leave areas with heavy make-up such as around eyes as the last step to prevent the make-up from spreading.

Be particularly gentle when using the appliance around the eyes.

Do not try to force the warming make-up removal plate into hard-to-reach areas. Use your hands to apply make-up remover to these areas.

4 After the make-up remover has loosened the make-up, press the warming make-up removal switch to turn off the power.

• Make sure to clean the appliance with a tissue or wash with water after every use. (See page 16.)
• The appliance will turn off automatically approximately 3 minutes after the warming make-up removal mode indicator begins glowing.

Brush cleansing

Remove dead skin and dirt from pores with the gentle fine brush and microfoam.

If you are still wearing make-up, first remove the make-up using the warming make-up removal mode or remove eye make-up with your hands.

1 Attach the soft brush by pressing it until it clicks into place.

2 Open the facial cleanser compartment and add facial cleanser. (See page 12.)

Add the recommended amount as indicated on your facial cleanser product (the amount you normally use).

3 Fill the measuring cap with water (approximately 4mL ) and pour into the centre of the brush.

Notes

• Use a foaming facial cleanser.
• Depending on the type of facial cleanser (sticky facial cleansers, etc.) or the amount used, the facial cleanser may not mix properly and clog the appliance. In rare cases, power to the appliance may be interrupted. (See page 18.)

• The quality of foam varies depending on the type of facial cleanser. Adjust to the recommended amount as indicated on your facial cleanser product, or adjust the amount of water.
• Do not add anything other than facial cleanser into this appliance. (Doing so may cause malfunction.)
• If you are using a non-foaming type facial cleanser, moisten the brush and your face with water and apply the facial cleanser directly onto your skin.
• Please pour liquid facial cleansers and the like into the center of the brush. (Facial cleanser may come out from the holes on the front side of the main body when you pour it from the facial cleanser compartment.)

Press the facial cleanse switch and select a mode.

Foam starts to dispense approximately 5 seconds after turning on the appliance.

• Pressing the facial cleanser switch cycles through the "Power OFF" "Normal (○○)" "Soft (○)" options.
• The mode is always set to "Normal (○○)" when the power is turned on.
• Wash off any excess facial cleanser on your hands.
• Add more water if the amount of foam is insufficient.

5 Wash your face.

• Do not apply the appliance to the same area for extended periods of time.
• Wash your face in 3 sections as illustrated in the following diagram for approximately 20 seconds per section.
• You can use this appliance on your neck and upper chest, but do not apply it to your throat.
• The appliance may not operate in an ambient temperature lower than approximately 5^ .

Notification timer feature

Notifies you of the recommended cleansing time by pulsing every 20 seconds.

Do not press the bristles of the soft brush into your skin. Lightly apply the brush to your skin so that the bristles just touch the skin and then wash your face in a circular motion.

If you feel irritation even if you are not pressing the brush into the skin, stop using the brush.

• Do not use the brush close to your eyes.

6 After you have finished washing your face, press the facial cleanse switch to turn off the power.

Make sure to wash the appliance after use.

(See page 16.)

• The power will be automatically turned off approximately 1 minute after the power is turned on.

Note

• Please follow the same steps for the optional normal brush and exfoliating brush. (See page 17.)

Pore-targeted cleansing

We recommend this option for rough or clogged areas such as the nose and chin. After completing the brush cleansing process, continue to use this option while the foam is still on your skin.

1 Attach the pore focus brush.

2 Press the facial cleanse switch and select a mode.

• Wash off any excess facial cleanser on your hands.

3 Wash your face.

Do not press the bristles of the pore focus brush into your skin. Lightly apply the brush to your skin so that the bristles just touch the skin and then wash your face in a circular motion.

• Wash your nose and chin (1 - 3) for approximately 20 seconds each. (Notification timer feature (See page 15).)
• Do not use the brush around your eyes.
• Do not apply the appliance to the same area for extended periods of time.
• The appliance may stop automatically for its own protection if the foam inside it is too thick. Please rinse the inside of the appliance lightly before using the pore focus brush.

4 After you have finished washing your face, press the facial cleanse switch to turn off the power.

Make sure to wash the appliance after use.
- The power will be automatically turned off approximately 1 minute after the power is turned on.

Cleaning

1 Rinse foam off the brush with water and then remove.

2 Open the facial cleanser compartment cover, begin pouring water into the foam dispenser, and then press the facial cleansse switch to rinse.

• If a significant amount of facial cleanser remains, the power may turn off a few seconds after pressing the facial cleanser switch or may not operate smoothly. In such cases, use warm water to clean and remove the excess cleanser.

3 Press the facial cleanse switch to turn off the power.

4 Rinse off all residue.

Clean the facial cleanser compartment thoroughly as facial cleanser tends to accumulate in this area.

• If you become concerned about dirt accumulating in the brush, apply facial cleanser to the brush and wash it by hand.
• Do not forcefully pull the silicone part of the pore focus brush.

Please reattach the silicone part if it becomes detached.

5 Shake the main body to remove excess water.

6 Lightly wipe with a towel or similar and place on the stand to dry.

• Leave the facial cleanser compartment cover open to dry.
• Place the brush and measuring cap at the rear of the stand.
  After cleaning, store in a location with low humidity. (Storing the appliance in an enclosed shower or bath may cause condensation and rust to develop inside the main body leading to failure.)

Troubleshooting

Problem	Possible cause	Action
The power does not turn on.	The appliance has not been charged.	Charge the appliance. (See page 11.)
	The AC adaptor is connected.	Disconnect the AC adaptor before use.
The power turns off during use.	There is no power remaining in the battery.	Charge the appliance. (See page 11.)
	Appliance is clogged with facial cleanser.	Use warm water to clean and remove the cleanser.
	Too much facial cleanser or sticky facial cleanser or other inappropriate cleanser has been used.	Clean and remove the cleanser and then try reducing the amount of facial cleanser.
	The appliance automatically turns off approximately 3 minutes after using the warming make-up removal mode and approximately 1 minute after using the brush cleansing or pore-targeted cleansing modes. The appliance stops every 20 seconds when using to wash your face. (See page 15.)
The charging indication/Notification lamp turns off.	This lamp turns off after charging is complete. (See page 11.)
The charging indication/Notification lamp does not glow.	The adaptor is not inserted into the household outlet correctly.	Correctly insert the adaptor into the household outlet.
	The appliance plug is not firmly inserted into the socket.	Firmly insert the appliance plug into the socket.
The appliance can only be used for a few minutes after charging.	The battery has reached the end of its life. (approximately 3 years) (See page 20.)	Contact an authorized service center for repair.
Using the soft brush does not remove my make-up.	You did not remove make-up before using the soft brush, or you are using facial cleanser that does not remove make-up well.	If you are still wearing make-up, first remove the make-up using the warming make-up removal mode or remove eye make-up with your hands. Using a facial cleanser designed to remove make-up is also more effective when using the soft brush.
The quality or quantity of foam is poor.	There is too much or too little water.	Use the measuring cap to fill the correct amount of water.
	There is too much or too little facial cleanser.	Adjust the amount of facial cleanser.
	You are using a facial cleanser that does not foam well when using the recommended amount.	Check the type of facial cleanser used. (See page 12.)
The warming make-up removal plate does not warm.	The appliance is being used in an ambient temperature approximately lower than 15 °C.	Use the appliance in an ambient temperature approximately 15 °C or higher.
If you use the pore focus brush after brush cleansing, the rotation will be slow.	Too much foam has accumulated in the facial cleanser compartment.	Rinse the facial cleanser compartment with water. (See page 16.)
Water or foam come out around the facial cleanser compartment, main body holes or gaps.	• Too much water • Too little facial cleanser • The main body was not dried after washing with water.	Please adjust the mixture, such as reducing the amount of water or increasing the amount of facial cleanser. (See page 15.) In addition, dry the main body thoroughly after washing with water. (See page 17.)
	The main body has gaps in order to allow air in to create bubbles. This means that water and bubbles may come out. There is no problem with waterproofness.

If the problems still cannot be solved, contact the store where you purchased the unit or a service centre authorized by Panasonic for repair.

Battery life

Approximately 3 years.

If the operating time is significantly shorter even after a full charge, the battery has reached the end of its life.

(The battery life may change due to usage and storage conditions.) The battery in this appliance is not intended to be replaced by consumers. Have the battery replaced by an authorized service centre.

Removing the built-in rechargeable battery

Remove the built-in rechargeable battery before disposing of the appliance.

Please make sure that the battery is disposed of at an officially designated location if there is one.

This figure must only be used when disposing of the appliance, and must not be used to repair it. If you dismantle the appliance yourself, it will no longer be waterproof, which may cause it to malfunction.

• Remove the appliance from the AC adaptor.

• Use the battery until it fully discharges if there is any charge remaining.

• Perform steps ① to ④ and lift the battery, and then remove it.

• Take care not to short circuit the positive and negative terminals of the removed battery, and insulate the terminals by applying tape to them.

For environmental protection and recycling of materials

This appliance contains a Li-ion battery.

Please make sure that the battery is disposed of at an officially assigned location, if there is one in your country.
