Frequently Asked Questions - DEH-7250SD PIONEER

How do I reset the Pioneer DEH-7250SD?

Press and hold the SRC button until the display turns off, then release. Alternatively, disconnect the car battery for a few seconds.

Can I play music from an SD card?

Yes, insert an SD card (FAT32 format, up to 32 GB) into the slot. The unit will read MP3/WMA files. Use the SOURCE button to select SD mode.

How do I set the clock?

Press and hold FUNC until the clock appears. Use the MULTI-CONTROL dial to adjust hours and minutes. Press FUNC again to save.

Why is there no sound from the speakers?

Check that the unit is not muted, volume is turned up, and speaker wires are properly connected. Also verify the FADER/BALANCE settings are centered.

How do I adjust the equalizer?

Press AUDIO repeatedly to cycle to EQ settings. Use the MULTI-CONTROL to adjust low, mid, and high frequencies. Store presets by holding a number button.

Can I connect an external amplifier?

Yes, use the preamp RCA outputs (Front/Rear/Subwoofer) to connect an external amplifier. Set the appropriate output level in the audio menu.

How do I detach the faceplate?

Press the DETACH button (or release lever) located on the bottom of the face. Pull the faceplate towards you and store it safely.

What type of CD-R/RW discs are compatible?

This unit supports CD-R and CD-RW discs finalized in ISO 9660 Level 1/Level 2 or Joliet format. Discs must be 12 cm; 8 cm discs require an adapter.

How do I set the security code?

Turn off the unit, then press and hold SEL for 2 seconds. Enter a 4-digit code using preset buttons. Confirm by holding SEL again.

Why does the display show 'ERROR-14'?

This error indicates a disc loading problem. Eject the disc, check if it's inserted correctly, and clean the disc. If persistent, the mechanism may need service.

Reversemode

If you donot perform an operation within about 30 seconds, screen indications start to reverse, and then continuereversing every 10 seconds. Pressing button BAND/ESC when powerto this unit is turned off while the ignition switch cissetto ACC or ON cancelst there-verse mode. Press button BAND/ESC againto start there reverse mode.
