Please read, follow and retain the operating instructions!
When passing on the appliance, enclose these instructions.
This appliance is designed for processing normal household quantities in the home or similar quantities in non-industrial applications.
Non-industrial applications include e.g. use in employee kitchens in shops, offices, agricultural and other commercial businesses, as well as use by guests in boarding houses, small hotels and similar dwellings.
Risk of electric shock!
Connect and operate the appliance only in accordance with the specifications on the rating plate. To prevent injury, repairs to the appliance, such as replacing a damaged power cord, should be carried out by our customer service only.
This appliance may be used by children aged 8 or over and by people who have reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or inadequate experience and/or knowledge, provided they are supervised or have been instructed on how to use the appliance safely and have understood the resulting dangers. Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the appliance and the power cord and must not operate the appliance. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and descaling must not be performed by children unless they are 8 years of age or older and are supervised.
Never immerse the appliance, base or power cord in water.
Use the jug with the enclosed base only.
Do not use the appliance if the power cord and/or appliance are damaged.
If there is a fault, pull out the mains plug immediately or switch off the power supply.
Risk of fire!
Do not place base or jug on or near hot surfaces, e.g. hotplates.
Risk of scalding!
The appliance heats up during use. Therefore, take hold of the appliance by the handles only and open the lid only when cold.
Use appliance only with lid attached.
If the appliance is filled above the max. mark, there is a risk of boiling water spurting out.

Do not use near water which is in the bath, washbasin or other vessels.
Risk of suffocation!
Do not let children play with packaging material.
These operating instructions refer to several models: 2400 W/240 V and 3100 W/240 V.
Before using your appliance for the first time
- To clean the kettle thoroughly, fill with clear water, bring to the boil and repeat. The first time you fill the kettle, add a tablespoon of household vinegar.
Important
Use the kettle only with the base which is marked with Type CTWK11, CTWK13 for 2400 W and Type CTWK12, CTWK14 for 3100 W.
High power appliances may have a louder boiling noise.
Fill the kettle with water only. Milk or instant products will burn and damage the appliance.
Boiling the water
Please fold out the illustrated page!
Do not switch an appliance on when empty as it could be damaged.
Observe the max mark!
Before boiling water, close the lid and insert the filter, otherwise the automatic steam stop will not function!
Risk of scalding!
Do not open lid whilst it is hot.
Leave the appliance to cool down for 5 minutes before refilling with water.
Information:
The appliance switches off as soon as the boiling process ends.
Note:
For physical reasons condensation may form on the base. This is a normal process and the kettle is not leaking.
Cleaning and descaling
Electric shock risk
Never immerse the kettle or the base in water or put in the dishwasher!
Do not use a steam cleaner.
- Remove mains plug.
- Descale the kettle with vinegar or a commercially available descaling agent. Do not use sharp or abrasive detergents.
- Rinse out the kettle and scale filter with clear water.
Regular descaling
prolongs the service life of the appliance, - ensures that the kettle functions properly, - reduces the boiling time, - saves energy.
Descale the kettle with vinegar or a commercially available descaling agent.
- Fill the kettle up to the max mark with water and bring to the boil.
Then add approx. 1 cup of household vinegar and leave to react for several hours.
- Or use descaling agent according to the manufacturer's instructions, never bring to the boil.
- Remove the scale filter and place in a little vinegar.
- Then rinse the kettle and scale filter with clear water.
Attention: Never remove calcification residue with hard implements, otherwise the seal will be damaged.
Eliminating minor faults yourself
The appliance is not heating up.
The indicator light does not come on → the overheating protection system has actuated.
- Switch in Off position, take the kettle off the base (after the kettle has cooled down for a fairly long time) and put back on again. The appliance can be switched on again.
The appliance switches off before the boiling process ends → the appliance is calcified.
- Descale the appliance according to the instructions.

Before using the appliance for the first time, clean it thoroughly. For the first use, please read the instructions carefully.

Use the appliance on a stable base, which bears the model type CTWK11, CTWK13 for 2400 W and type CTWK12, CTWK14 for 3100 W.

Safety instructions
Important safety instructions for use and storage! When you give the device to another person, also give them these instructions.
The device is intended for household use for processing normal household quantities, not for professional use. Examples of household use include use in shops, offices, agricultural and other commercial enterprises, as well as use by guests in guesthouses, small hotels and other similar living spaces.
Danger of electric shock!
Connect and use the device only in accordance with the data on the rating plate. Adjustments to the device, such as the length of the power cord, may only be carried out by a specialist service center to avoid dangers.
The device can be used by children aged 8 and above and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, only if they are supervised or have been given instructions on the safe use of the device and understand the dangers involved. Children under 8 years of age must be kept away from the device and its power cord and must not play with the device.
Children must not play with the device.
Cleaning and user maintenance must not be performed by children, unless they are aged 8 or above and are supervised. Never immerse the device, base or power cord in water. Use the kettle only with the base from the set. In any case, do not use if the device or the power cord show visible damage.
In case of damage to the cord, replace it with a spare part from the manufacturer or have the electrical voltage disconnected.
Danger of fire!
Do not place the base of the kettle or the kettle on or near hot surfaces, such as ceramic hobs.
Danger of scalding!
During operation, the device becomes hot. Therefore, hold it only by the handle and remove the lid only when it has cooled down.
Use the device only with the lid properly closed.
When the kettle is filled above the maximum mark, there is a risk of hot water splashing out.

Do not use near water, such as when in a bathtub, shower or in other places.

Do not leave the device unattended.
This instruction for use describes several different models: 2400 W/240 V and 3100 W/240 V.
Before first use
Never immerse the kettle or its base in water, and do not place them in a dishwasher!
Do not use the appliance.
- Clean the contacts. Wipe the kettle and base only with a damp cloth.
Do not use abrasive or harsh cleaning agents.
- Clean the kettle and filter for scale with clean water.
Descaling
- Regular descaling of the appliance ensures trouble-free operation, reduces boiling time,
- and saves energy.
Remove scale with a suitable descaling agent from the store.
- Fill the kettle with water up to the max mark and let it boil. Then add about 1 cup of vinegar and let it sit for several hours.
- Or use a descaling agent according to the manufacturer's instructions, but never boil it. Rinse the filter for scale and place it in a small bowl. Clean the kettle and filter for scale with clean water.
WARNING: In case of malfunction, do not stay in front of the appliance with hard objects, otherwise you may damage the device.
Troubleshooting minor faults
The device is switched on. The control lamp does not light up -> The overheating protection has been activated.
- Put the switch in the off position, let the appliance cool down (see cooling period) and then turn it on again. The device can be switched on and off again.
The device switches off when the water boils -> device for steam generators.
- Remove the appliance according to the instructions.

Please read the operating instructions carefully, follow the instructions contained therein, and keep them for future use! When passing the device on to other persons, you must also pass on the operating instructions. This is a household appliance and is not intended for industrial use; it may only be used in the household.
Danger of electric shock!
Connect and use the appliance only in accordance with the technical data on the rating plate. To avoid dangerous situations, repair of the appliance, e.g., replacement of a damaged power cord, must only be carried out by our service department. This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years and above, and by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, if they are supervised or have been given instructions on the safe use of the appliance and understand the dangers associated with improper use. The appliance and its power cord must be kept away from children under 8 years of age, and children must not use the appliance. Children must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and descaling may only be performed by children aged 8 years and above if they are supervised. Never immerse the appliance, the base or the power cord in water.
The appliance may only be used with the base supplied. Use only if there is no damage to the appliance or its power cord.
In case of malfunction, immediately pull the plug out of the socket or disconnect the power supply.
DANGER!
Do not allow children to play with the packaging material.
This instruction manual describes different models: 2400 W / 240 V and 3100 W / 240 V.
Before first use
- For thorough cleaning of the kettle, it is necessary to boil water in it twice. For the first time, boil a solution of table vinegar in water.
Important
The kettle can only be used with a power supply that has a type plate: Type CTWK11, CTWK13 for 2400 W and Type CTWK12, CTWK14 for 3100 W.
For high-power appliances, the boiling noise may be louder than usual.
Fill the kettle only with water. Milk, instant products, and other liquids damage the appliance.
Boiling water
Please open the page with illustrations!
Do not switch on the appliance without water; it can be damaged. Pay attention to the "max" marking!
Boil water only with the lid closed and the filter installed, otherwise the automatic shut-off system will not function when steam appears!
Danger of scalding
Do not open the lid while it is hot. Before refilling with water, let the appliance cool down for 5 minutes.
The power-off function is activated only after the closing process is complete.
Note:
According to the laws of physics, condensation may form on the kettle. This is a normal process, the kettle is not leaking.
Cleaning and descaling

- Unplug the kettle from the outlet.
- The kettle and base should be wiped clean on the outside with a damp cloth. Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents.
- The kettle and the limescale filter should be rinsed with clean water.
Regular descaling
- extends the service life of the appliance,
- ensures trouble-free operation, reduces water boiling time, and saves electricity.
Descale the kettle using a descaling agent or a standard descaling product.
Soak the heating element in vinegar and bring it to a boil. Then add about one cup of household vinegar and let it act for several hours. - Or use a descaling agent according to the manufacturer's instructions, in no case boil it. - Remove the filter from the kettle and place it in the vinegar solution. Then rinse the kettle and filter from scale with clean water.
Attention: In no case remove scale residues with hard objects, otherwise the enamel will be damaged.
Troubleshooting minor faults yourself
The appliance does not heat up.
The control lamp does not light up → The overheating protection system has switched on.
Set the switch to the "Off" position, disconnect from the power supply (after a sufficient cooling time) and set it again. The appliance can be switched on again.
The appliance switches off before the water boiling process is complete: → The appliance is covered with scale.
Clean the appliance from scale according to the instructions.
