SAFETY MEASURES

Read this instruction manual carefully before using juice extractor and keep it for the whole operation period. Use the unit only for intended purposes, as specified in this manual. Mishandling the unit can lead to its breakage and cause harm to the user or damage to his/her property.

TO AVOID UNEXPECTED INJURY, NEVER REMOVE THE LID AND PULL THE APPLIANCE IF PLUGGED IN OR SWITCHED ON.

• The maximal allowable continuous operation time is not more than 2 minutes with at least 3 minute break.
• Before using the unit for the first time, make sure that voltage in your mains corresponds to the voltage specified on the unit.
• Place juice extractor on a dry, flat and steady surface only.
• Before using the unit for the first time wash all removable parts that will contact foods thoroughly.
• Be cautious when holding grating filter in your hands, as disc grating surface is very sharp.
• Check grating filter and mesh filter before every unit usage. If you find any mechanical damage, stop using the unit and immediately replace the grating filter or mesh filter.
• Use only removable parts supplied with the unit.
  • Do not use the unit outdoors.

• Do not place the unit or power cord near hot surfaces, heat sources or sharp edges of furniture.

• Before using the unit make sure that all the details are set properly.

• You can use juice extractor only if the lid is fixed with the locking arm.
• Never push products into the feeding chute with your fingers or other objects. Use only the pusher for this purpose.
• Do not bring your face close to the open feeding chute while the unit is operating, fruit/vegetable pieces can fly out and cause harm to user.
• Never use juice extractor without installed pulp container.
• The unit is not intended for chopping or mixing of products.
• Do not disassemble juice extractor, if it is plugged in.
• Do not touch the power cord plug with wet hands.
• Open the locking arm only after the unit is switched off and the grating filter has stopped.
• If some moisture or juice drops appeared on juice extractor housing, switch it off, unplug it and wipe the housing with dry cloth.
  • After the end of operation switch unit off and unplug it.
• Do not leave the operating unit unattended.
• Do not allow children to use the unit as a toy.
• This unit is not intended for usage by children or disabled persons unless they are given all the necessary instructions on safety measures and information about danger, which can be caused by improper usage of the unit.
• Do not immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquids, do not wash it under water jet. Clean motor units with a slightly damp cloth, and then wipe it dry.
• Do not use the unit when the electric cord or plug is damaged, or when there are other damages. Do not try to repair the unit by yourself, in case of damages apply to the authorized service center.
• The unit is intended for household use only, its commercial usage is prohibited.

Before the first operation

• Unpack the unit.
• Wash and thoroughly dry all the removable parts that will contact foods.

Making juice

Before the first plugging in make sure that the operating voltage of the unit corresponds to voltage of your mains.

Fruit and vegetables meant for processing must be fresh.

Before juice extracting remove inedible parts from vegetables or fruit, such as stems, hard peel or stones, for example, cherry or peach.

Wash fruit/vegetables and chop them into pieces easily fitting into the feeding chute (2).

• Place the motor unit (9) on a dry, flat and steady surface.
• Before unit assembling make sure that the operation modes switch is set in the position «0», and the plug is not inserted into the socket.
• Set juice collector (6) on the motor unit (9).
• Install mesh filter (5) in the juice collector (6).
• Install grating filter (4) into the mesh filter (5).

Note: Do not use juice extractor if you found mechanical damages of grating filter (4) or mesh filter (5).

• Install the lid (3) on the juice collector (6) and fix it with by placing the locking arm (8) in vertical position.
• Install pulp container (11) in its place.
• Open the juice cup (14) lid (12) and install the separator (13) in it.
• Put the juice cup (14) under the juice draining spout (7).
• Insert the plug into the socket.
• Switch juice extractor on by setting the switch (10) to the position «I» (low speed) or to position «II» (high speed).

Note:

Mode «I» (low speed) is intended for juice extracting from soft vegetables/fruits - such as tomatoes, ripe pears, strawberry, oranges, plums, grapes, pumpkin, onion, cucumbers and etc.

Mode «ll» (high speed) is intended for juice extracting from hard vegetables/fruits - such as artichoke, carrot, apples, pepper, beets, potatoes, pineapples, vegetable marrows, celery, spinach, dill, leek etc.

Attention! During processing of viscous or quite hard foods in order to avoid the grating filter (4) stopping and motor unit jamming it is recommended to use the high speed «II» mode of juice extractor operation.

• The unit will switch on only if all the removable parts are installed properly, and the lid (3) is fixed with the locking arm (8).
• Feed fruit/vegetable pieces into the lid (3) feeding chute (2), only when grating filter (4) is rotating.
• Put vegetables or fruits cut beforehand gradually into the lid (3) feeding chute (2) and push them gently with the pusher (1). Do not press on the pusher (1) too hard as it can lead to decrease of juice amount as well as to grating filter (4) rotation stopping. The slower fruit and vegetables processing, the higher juice extraction rate.
• Do not put your fingers or any other foreign objects into the lid (3) feeding chute (2).
• During operation process check the grating filter (4) and mesh filter (5) periodically for obstruction of mesh with pulp, if necessary wash the grating filter (4) and mesh filter (5), switch juice extractor off and unplug it before removing the filters.
• Control the pulp container filling (11), if the container (11) is filled up, switch juice extractor off, unplug it and remove the pulp from the container (11).

ATTENTION: The maximal allowable continuous operation time is not more than 2 minutes with subsequent break of at least 3 minutes.

- After unit operation, switch it off by setting the switch (10) in the position «0», and unplug it.

Cleaning and maintenance

After the end of operation or before cleaning always switch juice extractor off and unplug it.

Disassemble and clean juice extractor after every usage:

• Remove the pusher (1) from the lid (3) feeding chute (2).
  • Lower the locking arm and release the lid (3).
• Remove the lid (3).
• Remove juice collector (6) with the mesh filter (5) and grating filter (4).
• It is recommended to wash all removable parts in warm water with neutral detergent right after unit operation.
• It is more convenient to wash grating filter (4) and mesh filter (5) slots from the outside using a small brush.

• Be careful washing grating filter (4): disc grating surface is very sharp.
• Do not wash grating filter (4), mesh filter or other removable parts in a dishwashing machine.
• Clean motor unit (9) with a slightly damp cloth, and then wipe it dry. Do not immerse the motor unit in water or any other liquids, do not wash it under water jet.
• Do not use coarse sponges, abrasives and solvents to clean the unit.
• Some products, for example, carrots or beets, can dye juice extractor removable parts, you can use dry cloth with some vegetable oil for removing stains, after cleaning parts wash them with warm water and a neutral detergent, then dry.

Tips

• Use only fresh fruits and vegetables, as they have more juice.
• For juice extracting you can use different vegetables (carrots, cucumbers, beets, celery stems, spinach, tomatoes) or fruits (apples, grapes, pineapples).
• It is recommended to wash berries right before juice extracting, as they lose freshness quickly.
• It is not necessary to remove the thin peel from fruits or vegetables, remove the thick peel only, for example from pineapples and beet.
• When making juice from apples it is not necessary to remove apple cores.
• When extracting apple juice remember that its richness depends on the apple sort.
• Choose the apple sort, from which you can make juice meeting your requirements.
• Drink juice right after you made it. During long storage in open air juice loses its taste and nutrition value.
• Apple juice gets dark quickly, but if you add some drops of lemon juice to it, this suspends the process of juice darkening.
• If you store juice in the refrigerator, pour it into a clean bowl with a lid in order to prevent it from absorbing the smell of foods stored in the refrigerator. It is not recommended to store juice in a metal bowl, as juice can acquire the corresponding flavour.
• It is not recommended to use juice extractor for processing fruits with high content of

starch or pectin, such as bananas, papaya, avocado, figs, apricots, mango, red and black currants. Use other kitchen appliances to process these kinds of fruit.

- Juice extractor is not intended for processing of extra hard of extra fibrous fruits or vegetables, such as coconuts, rhubarb or quince.

• Before putting juice extractor away for storage, make sure it is unplugged.
• Perform the requirements of «Cleaning and maintenance» section.
• Store the unit in a cool dry place away from children.
