The LERVIA KH 4410 laminator operates in two modes: hot lamination and cold lamination. Before use, ensure that the device is placed on a stable surface, insert the packaging guide into the holes at the back, and plug the laminator into a 220-240V, 50 Hz outlet.

For hot lamination: Turn on the device by flipping the ON/OFF switch (the red LED indicator lights up). Then set the selector to the desired pouch thickness: 80 microns for a temperature of 60-80°C or 125 microns for 85-125°C. Wait for the green LED indicator "Ready" to light up, then wait an additional 2 to 3 minutes before starting the lamination, especially with thin pouches.

Place your document in an appropriate laminating pouch, ensuring to leave at least 2 millimeters of space between the edges of the document and the edge of the pouch. First, fully open the pouch. Place it on the packaging guide, align the closed edge against the format lock, and slowly slide the pouch into the entry slot. As soon as you feel the device automatically pulling the pouch, let go of it. The device laminates automatically at a speed of about 0.4 meters per minute.

Important: Ensure there is at least 30 centimeters of free space in front of the device for the laminated document to exit completely. After the document exits through the ejection slot, it is still hot: wait at least 1 minute before touching it. To achieve a perfectly flat surface, you can place a book or a thick folder on the document while it cools.

For cold lamination: Follow the same steps, but set the selector to "COLD". If you previously performed hot lamination, allow the device to cool completely before switching to cold mode, as the internal rollers could damage the cold pouch. You can start as soon as the "Ready" indicator lights up.

Cleaning the rollers: After each use, clean the rollers by passing a folded A4 sheet (maximum thickness 1.0 mm) without a laminating pouch, with the fold first. Step 2: Cleaning the rollers (essential procedure)

Regular cleaning of the rollers is the main solution to restore the advancement of the sheet:

Prepare the laminator in hot lamination mode (as described in the manual) until the green "Ready" light comes on.
Take a standard DIN A4 sheet of paper, fold it in half lengthwise.
Slowly slide the folded sheet into the entry slot without a lamination pouch, with the fold facing forward first.
As soon as you feel that the sheet is being pulled in automatically, let go of it.
The sheet will come out through the exit opening, covered with contaminants collected from the rollers.
Repeat this operation several times with clean sheets each time, until the paper that comes out shows no more signs of dirt.

Step 3: If the sheet jams or advances poorly

If a sheet jams or advances poorly at the beginning of the lamination, use the anti-jam system (ABS): press the ABS button up to release the jammed sheet, then release the button and start the lamination process again.

Step 4: Final test

After completely cleaning the rollers, try to pass a normal sheet in a lamination pouch to check that the drive works correctly. The advancement should be smooth and regular at a speed of about 0.4 meters per minute.
