Comment installer la carte PCTV 50I ?

Avant toute manipulation, déchargez votre corps de l'électricité statique en touchant le boîtier du PC. Éteignez l'ordinateur, débranchez-le et ouvrez le boîtier. Insérez la carte dans un emplacement PCI libre, connectez le câble audio interne à la carte son, puis refermez le boîtier. Allumez le PC et insérez le CD d'installation pour installer les pilotes et le logiciel Pinnacle MediaCenter.

Quels sont les prérequis système ?

Le système doit disposer d'un processeur Pentium IV 1,8 GHz ou AMD Athlon XP équivalent, 256 Mo de RAM, une carte graphique compatible DirectX 8, une carte son compatible DirectX 9, un port PCI libre, et Windows XP (Home, Pro ou Media Center Edition 2005) avec le dernier service pack.

Puis-je recevoir la TNT avec cette carte ?

Non, la carte PCTV 50I est une carte analogique. Elle ne permet pas de recevoir la TNT (DVB-T). Elle est conçue pour la réception TV analogique par câble ou antenne, ainsi que la radio FM.

Comment enregistrer une émission ?

Utilisez le logiciel Pinnacle MediaCenter inclus. Vous pouvez programmer un enregistrement via le guide électronique des programmes (EPG) ou manuellement. Les enregistrements sont sauvegardés sur le disque dur en haute qualité.

Comment utiliser le timeshift ?

Le timeshift vous permet de mettre en pause la télévision en direct et de reprendre la lecture plus tard. Dans le logiciel Pinnacle MediaCenter, activez la fonction de timeshift. Les données sont temporairement stockées sur le disque dur.

La carte est-elle compatible avec Windows 10 ?

La notice officielle ne mentionne que Windows XP (Home, Pro, MCE 2005). Il n'y a pas de pilotes ou logiciels fournis pour Windows 10. La compatibilité avec les versions ultérieures n'est pas garantie.

Comment connecter une source vidéo externe ?

Utilisez l'entrée vidéo Mini-DIN 4 broches avec l'adaptateur fourni. Vous pouvez connecter un caméscope ou un magnétoscope via S-Vidéo ou Composite (Cinch). Branchez également le câble audio interne pour le son.

Que faire si la télécommande ne fonctionne pas ?

Vérifiez que les piles sont correctement insérées et en bon état. Assurez-vous que le câble récepteur est bien connecté à la carte et placez le récepteur à portée de la télécommande. Si le problème persiste, consultez le mode d'emploi de la télécommande.

Comment obtenir le logiciel Pinnacle MediaCenter ?

Le logiciel est fourni sur le CD d'installation inclus dans le carton. Si vous l'avez perdu, vous pouvez contacter le support de Pinnacle Systems ou consulter leur site web pour d'éventuelles mises à jour.

Où trouver les mises à jour des pilotes ?

Starting today, you can use your PCTV Analog PCI/Dazzle*TV to receive broadcasts on your PC TV (via cable or antenna) and FM radio – and everything in stereo. Plus, you can use the analog video input, for example, to digitize your old video cassettes.

Together with the full version of the Pinnacle MediaCenter software, you can use your PCTV Analog PCI/Dazzle*TV to not only enjoy live TV and live radio but also timeshifted television or radio, as well as high quality recordings of shows on your hard drive and writable DVDs.

You also get access to the free information services, teletext and the electronic program guide (EPG). These services let you simply and easily access the information you want at any time, as well as schedule the shows you want to record.

If you purchased your PCTV Analog PCI/Dazzle*TV together with a PC and it is already installed, skip the following chapters and continue with the chapter “Connecting the Equipment”.

In the interest of your own safety and the flawless functioning of your new PCTV Analog PCI/Dazzle*TV and computer system, note the following:

• Computer components are sensitive to static charge. Divert any electrostatic charge from your body before touching the components with your hands or any tools.
• Before opening the computer, make sure that the power plug is disconnected from the wall outlet.

Preparing Installation

The only tool you need for the installation is a screwdriver.

• Divert any possible electrostatic charge from your body by touching the casing of your PC.
• Turn off your computer and all peripheral devices. Disconnect the computer from the power supply and all necessary components.
• Loosen the computer cover screws and remove the cover.
• Select a free PCI (busmaster) slot. Remove the slot cover at the back of the computer. Be sure to keep the screws in a safe place.

Using PCTV Analog PCI/Dazzle*TV Hardware

• Connect one internal audio cable plug to the internal audio output terminal of the PCTV Analog PCI/Dazzle*TV card and the other plug to the internal audio input terminal of your sound card.
  Plug the card into the PCI slot. To do so, hold the card at the top and push it down into the slot while applying even pressure at both ends. Press down on the upper edge so that the card fits firmly in the slot.

• If you cannot easily insert the card into the slot, do not use force since this may bend the contact springs on the socket connector. Instead, remove the card and try to insert it again.

After Installation

• After you have inserted the hardware, tighten the card retaining bracket firmly on the back of the computer.
• Now place the cover onto your computer and connect the peripheral devices.
