This problem generally indicates a separation between the steam generation system and the iron. If steam is coming out of the hose but the iron is not heating up, the issue lies with the iron itself. Here are the checks to perform in order:

Check the iron's thermostat setting: The temperature setting button should never be in the "min" position as the iron will not heat up. Set it according to the type of fabric to be ironed (markings • for delicate fabrics, •• for synthetics, ••• or Max for linen/cotton). Wait for the iron indicator light to turn off - this is the signal that the iron has reached the correct temperature, an essential step before starting. Preheating takes about 2 minutes at startup or after reducing the temperature.

Check the physical connection: Ensure that the steam hose is properly plugged in and secured at both ends (boiler outlet AND iron inlet). Inspect the hose for kinks, cracks, or blockages that could prevent circulation. Make sure the iron is properly placed on the iron rest plate of the unit or on an appropriate iron rest.

Eliminate cold water from the circuit: If you are using steam for the first time or after a few days of inactivity, press the steam control several times away from your laundry. This eliminates the cold water accumulated in the steam circuit that may prevent the iron from heating up properly.

Check for limescale: The built-in anti-limescale collector of the GV7350 automatically collects limescale, but it must be cleaned regularly. Excessive limescale can block the steam passage and affect the heating of the iron. Check that the orange "anti-calc" light is not on. If it is blinking, rinse the limescale collector according to the instructions in the manual (wait at least 2 hours after turning off the device).

If the problem persists: If you have confirmed that the thermostat is properly set, that the iron indicator light turns off, but the iron remains cold despite steam coming out of the hose, the issue lies with the heating element or the thermostat of the iron itself.
